They did all appear together on the field back in the 2010 WC briefly when Herc came on as a late game sub against Slovenia.
That worked out OK.
yeah they scored 2 minutes after Herc subbed in to bring it level.I am still pissed about the call on Edu to this day. :(
It was probably for the best for US soccer. They won the group anyway, and with a win under their belt, they wouldn't have had the last minute heroics against Algeria.

No love for Campos eh? The hardest position to learn skillwise is goalie, Sí it makes sense to pick a goalie that can play multiple outfield positions.

Can't argue with 11 Messis though...

African Cup of Nations Day 1 Report. Two games, no goals. One point against the hosts was a good result for Cape Verde.

I caught the second half of Angola-Morocco. Ragged, entertaining, lots of chances w/ poor finishing. It was like watching 22 Gervinhos.

Group B games tomorrow. Ghana-Congo and Mali-Niger.
Then there's this. Who's taking 11 Gervinhos? :lmao:

That would be like dividing by zero.

Robbie Rogers is considering contacting Arena and seeing if he can train with LA. Chicago owns his rights I think.

Hey guys, I think everyone should sit down a bit, because this is kind of shocking news.

Abou Diaby has a serious injury
First this, then the stunning news that Rio and Anton Ferdinand are involved in another racism controversy. My world has turned upside down. Next they'll be telling me Stevie G got into a brawl at a nightclub or Ryan Giggs is having an affair.
And Wilshere's knock is worse than first thought. Which I would joke about if I weren't clinically depressed about it.

I have a dumb question:Sometimes when a dude scores a goal, he'll run around and blow on his thumb, like he's blowing up a balloon. What does this mean?
I think the first guy to do it did it as a tribute to his kid, who was in the thumb-sucking stage. I've always taken it that way.
Me too.I actually don't know what it means with Suarez kisses the inside of his wrist though. Also, is there a secret message when he sucker punches a defender in the face?

I never heard this before. In fact growing up, the kids with no skill were always picked to go into goal. Must have changed along the years.
I think that AYSO is a bit different than Would Cup level soccer. My main point was (although not well expressed) is that the skillet for a goalie is so different than the field players that you'd be hard pressed to find a field player that is good between the pipes. Campos proved her could do both. He scored 34 goals in his pro career and could regularly move the ball outside of his box.Sure, very few field players get the chance to play goalie at a high level so it's hard to know if there are good ones out there.I think a better question would be to have 10 identical field players. In that case, I take Zidane.

Suarez has a tattoo there. For his wife or kid, or both.

In the category of "new baby tribute goal celebrations", Bebeto's "Rock the Cradle" from USA '94 is way cooler.

I believe this is correct. It is actually an extension of the Bebeto tribute to his new born son in WC 1994(see link below), when he did the "rock the cradle" celebration that many have copied in multiple sports over the years.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbhaDnd-5kg

The long rumored "trade" between Philly and Bahia (Brazil) is official. Freddy Adu to BahiaJosé Kléberson to Union
Just read about this now. :confused:What on earth happened to this kid?
I am not sure it is explainable. Best any one can come up with is that he is completely unsuited for the club game. Too many teams, too many coaches, too many leagues. The variable always comes back to him.The remarkable thing is his age. He is only 23 years old.

IMO he's all skill and has nothing physically that lets him use it at the highest levels. He's small and slow and not very quick either.

Best analogy I've heard for Freddy I think was Floppo's. He compared him to an all-time great college QB who just didn't have the measurables to take his game to the big boys.

If today is any indication, this is apparently the correct answer

:goodposting: Apparently he's scored all of his PL goals against Adkins-coached teams this year.

Jose Villareal with a pretty side ways scissors kick goal to grab a point for LA at Toronto in injury time.
