I can't remember seeing so may horrendously sky'd shots from in so close.

And yes, that was a hand ball, though very inadvertant.

Tough to lose on penalties. Italy was the better team for long stretches of the game, but Spain deserved a result as well.

Was really expecting Pique to sky his shot.

Bonucci looked nervous going up there. Knew he was going to miss it. Tough loss, but Spain really turned it on at the end of the game and Italy seemed content to settle for PK's. They were gassed.

Welp looks like Neymar will be universally hated. Unfortunate that he gets caught up in this crap but he's no Messi.
I like him.
He dives. He flops. He talks ####.

It would seem to make that a bit more possible, but I'll believe it when I see it. The RM-Barca oligopoly is pretty strong and entrenched.

He didn't score a single goal in Liga this year, but it seemed like he was getting some decent chances today.

So I just looked it up and saw that it was 4 years ago tomorrow, 6/28/09, when the USMNT played in the final of this tournament in Johannesburg and went up 2-0 on Brazil at the half before losing 3-2. Tim Howard was voted best GK of the tournament.

After 1.5 disappointing seasons (LA Galaxy FIFA '11 Path to Glory) my son and I sold Neymar tonight to ManU fot 15 stars - pretty good business I think. Juan Angel stepped up and scored a hat trick in the next game - semi final of the MLS Cup against Houston.

Great game for both teams. Pretty interesting there were no saves with two of the greatest keepers of all time involved.

Glad to see a Brazil vs Spain final. Hopefully a preview of next year. :)

I think the casualness of Iniesta and Pirlo are my favorites. They might have been enjoying a nice espresso or something.

"Oh, wait. Let me take care of this."

:puts ball in corner:

"You were saying?"
