If you are a professional soccer player, is it acceptable to wear your jersey:

a) while sitting in the stands due to suspension

b) at the supermarket

c) while sleeping

d) All of the above

I guess if you're going to get hammered this is the game to do it.

Speaking of hammered... probably doesn't help the US that Ramsey isn't drinking.

Post-Gold Cup letdown. Everyone's thoughts are on the upcoming season in Europe. England looks like #### too right now. It's a crappy time to have an international friendly.

Sorry. I get snippy when I have to live with self-loathing without cocktails.

Jozy made a diagonal run off the shoulder of the defender so he was running toward the near post. He took a perfect first touch and played it across goal far post on the finish.

Johansson is looking lively. Very sharp movement and knows what he wants to do straight away. Team could be super deep with attacking options.

I've always wondered this and I'm curious if anyone has a take on this:

Is the US (and others like England) at a disadvantage against other countries due to the English language? Is English common enough amongst other internationals that most understand and can hear communication enough for it to matter? Whereas when the US goes against most other countries (like today) where they don't understand anything about communication on the field and don't have a similar advantage (if there is one).

While it wasn't the most difficult finish, it's not often we get to see one of our strikers with such a cool, calm strike in that situation. This is a welcome sight.

Didn't realize Bos Herz was on a nice run themselves. They're leading their (admittedly weak) WCQ group and are inside the top 20 in current rankings.

Good game by the US even if B-H did sub out a lot of starters.

Wow.

Sometime, maybe even sometime soon, this run will end. But damn has it been enjoyable to watch the team this summer.
Remember not too long ago when everyone was talking about how Klinnsman had lost the locker room, and about how much turmoil the team was in? They've come a long way in a short time.
