@LFC: Confirmed #LFC team v Roma: Jones, Kelly, Skrtel, Coates, Enrique, Lucas, Allen, COUTINHO, Borini, Lambert, Ibe #lfctour @LFCUSA

Coates

Ibe
I keep forgetting about Coates. If he's finally back, that could be worth a 20m transfer right there...

Does San Jose play at a high school football stadium? I know they are getting a new place next year but.....man.
yeah it is tiny. I think it holds like 10k

The new stadium is going to be a nice upgrade.

KC did a similar thing by playing in a tiny place while they awaited their new stadium to be built.

Warren was the first guy they tried with Gus. And probably the best of a sad lot they've tried with him. Even Wynalda isn't awful when paired with the two guys he's been in studio with for years.

Story from earlier:

I left the Liverpool match 17 minutes in because I went to see that streaming of Monty Python live from London. (Doesn't look like I missed much.) So, this was a mixture of them doing live skits and musical numbers. During costume changes, they would splice in video. Some was new, and just for this, but a lot of it was the old clips. They showed this first half of this one, which is one of my favorite Python sketches. At halftime of the match, they switched to a live number with them doing their Bruce from Australia characters.

2/3 of the way through the bit, Terry Gilliam acts like he bites Carol Cleveland. Michael Palin calls a halt to the whole thing, produces a red card from his pocket, and sends him off. As Gilliam is marching off the stage, Palin yells out "Oh, #### off to Barcelona with you! Who do you think you are, Luis Suarez?" I let out a loud "HA!" in a theater with 13 other people in it. :bag:

Barca going after Marquinhos again. With PSG needing to sell to get right with FFP (and bring in Di Maria), and Marqinhos presumably set to lose out on starts to Thiago Silva and The ReAnimated Corpse of David Luiz, this seems like a possibility.

Speaking of PSG, they also signed RB Serge Aurier. Barca and United are supposedly going to battle for Juan Cuadrado if he wants to leave. No clue where Alves would go if Barca wins out for him, but he'd probably be cheap given that he has a year left.

I have some thoughts on United's 3-5-2....reminds me a bit of Juve's system, with Lichsteiner role bombing forward easily filled by Valencia who can also cover as a back. And Shaw can bomb up the other wing, also adept as filling in as a back. Obviously United has no Pirlo, but Mata fillls a nice space as an attacking central midfielder with space, and Herrera as Vidal? United's top two will be better than any combination Juve can throw out there.

It also allows 3 center backs on the field at once, which can cover each of their deficiencies as a primary center back, as 3 may be better than 2.. I like the change.

But, it also was against the Galaxy.

And, you also have to swallow the 3 center backs that United runs out there are Jones, Smalling and Evans, not necessarily one good back among the bunch, something that I've already stated as United's primary need.

and that Liverpool/Roma game was putrid :X wtf was I watching. Maybe it was because the field was smaller, there seemed there were no open spaces, no fluidity by either team.

I know it was a friendly, but this noob enjoyed the second half of Toronto/Tottenham and the first half of SKC/MC. Fun stuff.

I sure wish that Ihenacho kid was American. Sky's the limit for him.
