If part of the idea of these games is marketing why wouldn't they have Citeh in their sky blue and Milan in their black & red?

I've heard it's basically because the club's are required to wear each kit a certain number times. So they see this as a time to get the second and third kits worn and meet contact requirements.

I follow both college and NFL, but don't go out of my way to watch either. If I'm home and it's on, I'll watch, more at night than during the day. I'd much rather watch a Champions League quality match than either though at this point.

My college set the national record for most consecutive losses... I don't watch or follow college football.

Since the kids, I don't have time or interest to watch NFL. I'll watch part of a late game every now and then, but I don't remember the last game I watched start to finish.

But I'll watch Fulham vs Stoke.

How many of the regulars in this thread still pay attention to college or nfl football?
I travel with and film my local high school football team for the coaching staff. Entering my 29th season of season tickets to South Carolina Gamecock football, and watch plenty if college football.

NFL Redzone is a must and if the Vikings are on, I'm in front if the tv.

So, yes.

Now that ESPNFC and Cnnsi are basically abominations to use (especially on a mobile device), what do people use to get news in a user friendly manner?

What kind of news? General or team specific?

Follow to right people on twitter for what you want info on

http://www.theguardian.com/football

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/index.html - pretty tough on mobile until you get to specific articles where they are mobile friendly. They also have an app, but I don't like it.

That came out of nowhere, looks like Calum Chambers is the newest Gunner on the backline. He's played primarily RB, but it looks like he could be moved to CB.

Any thoughts on him?
Wait, what? I found the rumor, is it a done deal?Chambers is a nice looking kid, saw lots of minutes as a sub. Has a deft touch and good feel for the game, I thought his biggest weakness was speed.
I don't think it's happened yet.
Some important twitter people are confirming he's had his medical and all terms are agreed upon.
Wenger says he will use him all over. RB, CB, and DM.

Griezmann official for Atlético. 30m€ transfer fee. What a great pickup and just what the team needed. Cristian Ansaldi is close to being signed too.

You guys have really retooled well this offseason. Always do. Im not sold on Griezmann for that kind of money but Mandzukic should fit right in.

Here's the projected starting IX for Atleti right now:

--------------------Oblak
-----------Godin---------Miranda
--Juanfran----------------------Siqueira
---------------Gabi----Tiago
--------------------Koke
--------Arda----------------Griezmann
-----------------Mandzukic

That looks pretty nice. Love to see Koke in the middle of the pitch with Gabi and Tiago behind him. Arda + Griezmann are quality wingers. This could morph into a 4-4-2 pretty easily with Griezmann playing withdrawn striker, Koke shifted to the left MF and pulling back flatter with Tiago, Gabi, and Arda.

That's a really good line-up
I agree. This season will come down to a few things: staying healthy at key positions since Atleti lack depth (what's new...) and the performances of Oblak and Mandzukic. If they are the quality that people think they are, this team could even be an improvement over last season's squad (due to adding a better winger in Greizmann primarily). The core shape of the team remains with Gabi, Mario/Tiago, Miranda, Godín returning. Those inside 4 positions are what caused such trouble for opposing teams last year, including Barça, Real, and Chelsea. Clog up the passing lanes, shut down the opposition in the air and on the ground, spring a few counters to keep them honest, and tackle like monsters.

Still watch all of the college football. There are like seven games on simultaneously all day saturday, so any team you might want to watch will be on pretty much every week, and there's always something else to flip to during commercials.

The EPL has pretty much pushed the NFL out of my life entirely, though. The NFL gives you two games at once, if that, and actively prevents you from watching the game you want to see. If I have to choose between the Bucs game and the Jags game, my choice is going to be "#### you, NFL".

What about one of the mobile scores apps like OneFootball or FotMob? Both have decent news sections.

Football depends entirely on weekend plans. I usually try to catch big CFB games and Uconn, but so much of CFB is disposable IMO.

Sundays it's Red Zone and then the Niners, usually. To the extent possible. Might play fantasy again this year..

Twitter is a flutter with rumors Spurs are close to signing Jay Rodriguez and Morgan Schneiderlin, which should complete the dismantling/exodus of Soton.

Kind of surprised nobody's come in for James Ward-Prowse for that matter. I think he's a real talent.

I normally don't get too exorcised about bigger clubs poaching a club's talent, but this is very sad. There's no way Soton can intelligently replace these players, even with the money coming in. They just don't have time.

Yeah I'd be pissed to be a Soton supporter right now. They are staring relegation right in the face unless they spend this money wisely and quickly to get solid players in the fold soon. They can only rely on youth so much.

Not sure what they're doing...they're getting great money for these guys. 12-16M for Chambers?? Doubled their money on McLovren, did well with Lallana.

They aren't giving guys away, they just need to buy

Have to wonder if the heiress is just cashing out...

That's a lot of names heading out... regardless of quality. But also a lot of quality names.

And now Rodriguez and Schneiderlin are rumored to have deals in place with Spurs  . Seriously what the hell is going on there?

1. FW Rodriguez
2. FW Lambert
3. MF Lallanna
4. MF Schneiderlin
5. DF Shaw
6. DF Lovern
7. DF Chalmbers

7 first team players either gone or on their way out. Ridiculous.
