I'm not saying the world revolves around me, necessarily, but when I check the ESPN page for the Arsenal/Sunderland game, under Arsenal's line up it only lists Szczesny, Gibbs, and Chambers - who happen to be the 3 players on my fantasy team.

sometimes goals come and sometimes they don't but you'd figure a squad with Messi, Neymar and Suarez would look a little more dangerous

I'm very shocked to report that Barça's center backs are still suspect, but at least we get to see Masch play DM.

Also Suárez looked good, but Benz was better today playing the 9.

Finally, I really hate hate hate Marcelo with the power of a billion suns, but ####### he's got a sexy game.

Atlético isn't as good as last year, but Sevilla and Valencia certainly are better than last season. Barça and Real need to worry about getting points from all 3 (and Real has already dropped 3 to Atlético) if they want to win the title. I think a 5 way race for the top 4 spots would be pretty great.

Skipped over bits and pieces of the Arsenal game, but the ~60 minutes I saw....man, what a snoozer. Team just is not clicking at all.

Give Sanchez some credit for finishing, but they barely sniffed the net if not for 2 defensive miscues.

25% as good as Southampton

Hypothetical question - Is there any way a player can "win the ball" but have a "late challenge" and only touch the ball once (and the other player never touches the ball)

Here's the situation. U16 youth game (rec)

Thru ball played into just inside the 18. Keeper comes out late, attacker narrowly beats him to ball and puts into net, Keeper's momentum carries him into attacker. They go down in a heap with keeper on top.

Call was no goal. Among other really bad calls, I had to talk with the ref afterwards. His explanation was No Goal because "the keeper could have still made the save" even though the ball was past him once the attacker won the ball and although the attacker "won the ball" it was a "late challenge".

I just wanted to make sure his explanations were as contradictory (oxymoromic?) as I thought they were.

I'd call it moronic, not oxymoronic.
