Looks like this will be settled soon. I would hate to see Becks leave in Dec with nothing to show for it. Would be better to sell him now for $10M and be done with it.

The ongoing transfer saga involving the Los Angeles Galaxy's David Beckham and AC Milan is set for conclusion, one way or another, by the end of the week.
MLS commissioner Don Garber told the media Wednesday that he has notified the Galaxy that if a transfer agreement for Beckham is not completed by Friday, MLS will not approve a transfer.
"There is no reason why this should drag on," Garber said. "They [AC Milan] either want to do it or don't want to do it.
"This Friday, we need to know if they want to buy David Beckham or not."
Garber said he notified the Galaxy on Tuesday that the league wants the Beckham situation resolved by Friday, with AC Milan either making a bid or passing on Beckham.
"They need to understand that this is getting very close to the start of our season," said Garber, who revealed that Milan had yet to make a formal offer for Beckham. "We have plans that we need to make if David Beckham is part of those plans."
Garber also confirmed that Beckham does have an out clause in his MLS contract that he can exercise after the 2009 season.
