The only real problem I have is they count in Extra time too.  If the second leg of the match goes to an extra 30, away goals should go out the window.
This is my only gripe with it.  treat the extra time on its own.

But, given the randomness of choosing who is home last, I can understand why they may be reluctant to allow that added "advantage" in the extra time portion of the tie.

I love the away goal, gives teams a reason to attack on the road.

But I also love PKs.  Probably one of the few, but I do.

Good for Atletico.  Although I was almost hoping for a City Bayern Final so Pep could knock City out of next year's CL when City falls out of 4th trying to concentrate on the CL.

One of my early soccer memories is USA 1-0 Argentina at RFK.  It wasn't a full squad for ARG, but it was a good one.  Anyhow Chris Armas absolutely owned Diego Simeone that day.  "Just a friendly" disclaimer and yada yada yada... was still impressive to see something like that in 1999.

An incredible shame Armas did his knee in the last match before the team left for Japan/Korea (IIRC), also at RFK with yours truly in attendance.
I remember both games really well.

that Armas injury was horrible- I remember watching him go down without contact (IIRC) and knowing it was trouble. he had been playing so well for the US too and was going to be a big part of that WC.

I remember it worked to Bayern's advantage in '08.

UEFA Cup Quarterfinal against Getafe.  The first leg was in Munich and Getafe scored in the 90th minute to make it 1-1.

The second leg at Getafe was crazy.  Bayern returned the favor and scored in the 89th minute to make it 1-1 and 2-2 on aggregate.  Bring on extra time.

Getafe promptly scored in the 91st and 93rd minute to go up 3-1 (4-2), and Bayern scored in the 115th and 120th to make it 3-3 (4-4).  Bayern had 3 away goals and won it.

One of the most exiting matches I've ever watched.

Pee Wee league is wrapped up. Varsity title is still on the line with Barça and Atletí tied and Real 1 back.

Did a British dude serve you a beer at Ocelot? He's from Nottingham. Huge Forrest fan.
Did not detect that, but there were a lot of servers there.  There was football on both TVs for a while, until 1 switched to the Nats.

and Spurs' history-making season just added some more history: their 9 players booked on Monday is the most ever by one team in one game in the EPL.

looks like both teams are facing problems:  The FA statement said: "Both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have been charged for three breaches of FA Rule E20 for failing to control their players and/or officials.

"It follows incidents which occurred in the 45th and 87th minutes and also at the end of the game at Stamford Bridge.

"Mousa Dembele has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video during the same game.

"Further, it is alleged the player's behaviour constituted violent conduct in circumstances where the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient."
