Don't they reseed in the semis?Teams in the top two matches have to be dancing a jig. Only have to beat one of the heavyweights to win it.

They have another draw, but there are no country restrictions or seeds. This is the English blow, so we have to let the Spanish clubs play each other carve-out.Don't they reseed in the semis?
From Ladbrokes:Who's the best of the bunch after ManU? Lyon? They looked pretty good taking down a decent Roma team.
Cup Winner
Manchester Utd 5/4
Lyon 3/1
Celta 7/1
Schalke 8/1
Ajax 12/1
Thats how the Barca v United match in Palo Alto looked last summer. Kinda put the damper on trying to go (6 hour drive up or 45 min flight)NewlyRetired said:

I can only imagine what tickets for the RM vs BM game I saw last summer cost.Thats how the Barca v United match in Palo Alto looked last summer. Kinda put the damper on trying to go (6 hour drive up or 45 min flight)
Rumors of a Manchester Derby in San Diego this summer. Will be interesting to see those prices as well.
Daughter and wife are going to see this this summer, I could not believe the prices.I still want to see Hamilton, but not for 1k per.
Hamilton is a good comparison. I can listen to the cast album on Spotify. And I can watch soccer games on tv. It's not the same experience, but close enough considering the cost.I can only imagine what tickets for the RM vs BM game I saw last summer cost.
#### these people.

I hate that I became a snob to these games years ago. In the early 90's I would have sold a kidney to see friendlies like these live. But the games are so poor and meaningless and the prices too high that it makes so little sense to me unless you are a die hard of the team.Yeah, I think we're getting Man U and either Barca or Real in DC. And I have absolutely no interest in going. I'd rather go see DC United play the Earthquakes or something.
It hasn't hurt the ICC yet, but sooner of later, they're going to have some embarrassing attendance numbers. It's started to burn US Soccer, as they've priced people out of qualifiers and friendlies so now our national team is playing in front of crappy crowds.
Probably why I still go to the United games if local. As much as I would love to see RM v Barca I am not paying for thatI hate that I became a snob to these games years ago. Yeah, I suppose if I were with like DC Armoury and I spent every Saturday morning at Lucky Bar with them, I'd go with a group if Arsenal came to DC. But I'd be lousy in a fan group, and nobody has ever appreciated my punning in Lucky Bar.I hate that I became a snob to these games years ago. Hamilton is at least a real performance and in the mezz which is fine is cheaper...of course they're sold out for the next year.Hamilton is a good comparison. I can listen to the cast album on Spotify. And I can watch soccer games on tv. It's not the same experience, but close enough considering the cost.
I wonder which audience would be more annoying. Probably a close call.Hamilton is a good comparison. I can listen to the cast album on Spotify. And I can watch soccer games on tv. It's not the same experience, but close enough considering the cost.
Even if you are a die hard, it makes little sense. The scarcity that existed in the 90's no longer does. We can watch the starting XI of our favorite clubs play meaningful matches every week on tv, instead of paying hundreds of dollars to see mostly B teamers play a low stakes friendly. I'd rather put that money towards a trip to Spain to see Barcelona play over there. I used to go whenever Barca came to Southern California because I would think, "When am I ever going to see *insert name of Barcelona star here* play?" Now I can see Messi and Co. on my television all the time.I hate that I became a snob to these games years ago. In the early 90's I would have sold a kidney to see friendlies like these live. Pretty sure all Arsenal fans have taken their tweed jackets to a Hamilton show while staying at the Plaza.I wonder which audience would be more annoying. Probably a close call.
Hosting Southampton, without Kane are they Abel?I think I've already made my typical passive aggressive comments about Spurs for this week.
I was going to object to this gratuitous cheap shot, but I do love tweed.Pretty sure all Arsenal fans have taken their tweed jackets to a Hamilton show while staying at the Plaza.
This all sounds great with the exception of the team supported. But I would expect to pay $100-150 for tickets. When you are talking $1000 I expect to be sitting on the bench a few seats from Jose.I had a blast at the pre-season game I went to this year. I've never been surrounded by LIV fans before, I got to see a practice, got to march in downtown St Louis with 40-50 LIV fans with flags and red smoke (I think the suburbanites had no idea what was happening), got to see a practice, and finally I got to see a pretty crappy game, all for about 100 bucks. So for me, the value in the 100 bucks had little to do with the game. A meaningless preseason game just didn't do much for me.
So for the Miami game...some of those prices are insane. At what point do you look at the 400 bucks you've paid for a preseason ticket and start to price out a plane flight to Barcelona and a ticket to see an ACTUAL game?
I should at least be able to deliver the banana. This all sounds great with the exception of the team supported. But I would expect to pay $100-150 for tickets. When you are talking $1000 I expect to be sitting on the bench a few seats from Jose.
You forgot about Zidane Jr toodamn where are the years going?
Justin Kluivert scored for Ajax today. He is Patrick Kluivert's son.
at least Zidane is in his mid 40's. It feels like Kluivert is barely 40 unless I am way off.You forgot about Zidane Jr too
Huh. No idea really, but I had their ages reversed.at least Zidane is in his mid 40's. It feels like Kluivert is barely 40 unless I am way off.
just looked it up. Zidane is 44, Kluivert is 40. Patrick retired very young at 31-32.Huh. No idea really, but I had their ages reversed.
?
I only googled kluivert.
I agree. However, I would think with the exit strategy in place, it will give a legend a chance to go out in more celebratory fashion, rather than being booed/forced out at the end of this year. I think he deserves it, even if it comes at the expense of their year or next couple, as you say.So the rumors are that Wenger will sign a 1-year deal, instead of the original 2-year deal being offered by Arsenal.
This seems to be rather poorly thought out by Arsenal - given what looks like a big turnover at the club - if Sanchez, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, et al, leave this summer. Gunners will have a lot to spend on transfers - but why (potentially) waste the transfer spend on a manager with such a short leash?
To some degree he has earned the right to walk away on his own terms - but there is no guarantee next year will be any better - and potentially worse as a lame-duck coach. I assume he does not look at it as simply one more season - but at some point there has to be an exit strategy. If he said that he was walking away at the end of the season - I think all of the fans would celebrate his time at the club for the remainder of the season. But, if he comes back, and the team struggles to chase a title, I think the end could get ugly.I agree. How in the world does that happen. The Spurs women's team had not lost in 28 games and then lost 10-0 to the women's Arsenal team.
I think they are on different levels - i.e. Spurs ladies play a level below Arsenal ladies - but I can't swear to that. The Spurs women's team had not lost in 28 games and then lost 10-0 to the women's Arsenal team.
I know nothing about the structure. I just saw the stat on twitter. How in the world does that happen.
I've seen the British women's game become pretty world class... but that kind of duo of info speaks to a really soft league.
OK. That explains things.I think they are on different levels - i.e. Spurs ladies play a level below Arsenal ladies - but I can't swear to that.
ETA - Arsenal Ladies play in the Women's Super League, Spurs Ladies play in the Women's Premier League
