Matteo Bonetti big announcement tomorrow. Most are anticipating him announcing he's working Serie A Paramount +

Yeah what's wrong with the jerseys? Are people mad they are just variations of the same thing? Most of the comments have to do with Puma putting too much focus on making it difficult for the knock-off artists. I don't think they are ugly.

The Revs have all the look of a Supporters Shield winner this year. They are now 9 points clear of KC who is in 2nd but KC has played less games.

With Turner and Buchanan both looking like they will stay for at least the rest of the season, they should have as strong a chance as anyone, especially once they get their best player back, Gil, who is so injury prone, you can see how a player this good ended up not having a bigger career.

Team badges are missing from the jersey.  That's what most seemed to focus on for the City jersey anyway.

That jumped out at me too. Sponsors and some version of name big and bright, but screw 100 years of history and culture. And on that one..."Man City"? Iirc there was a free gay weekly paper of the same name here in NYC.

I think the issue is that because the color scheme and designs don’t immediately call the respective teams to mind, the jerseys look jerseys for the sponsor and not the team.

I get that sponsorships have been predominant on kits for some time, but whether it was JVC or O2, or Fly Emirates, an Arsenal jersey looked like an Arsenal jersey.

Most sports are going to this now. Whatever gets them the most eyes on sponsors now. Won't be shocked when the NHL jerseys look like the Europe ones covered in Ads or when Soccer goes all South America on their kits covered in sponsors. Some look better then others though

These are the teams "3rd kit" shirts, so I suppose can take some liberties with color schemes, but I see this as too strong a move away from tradition nonetheless - somewhat akin to what we see in the NBA these days with teams wearing four or more different shirts during a season.  The Bucks had a "Cream City" shirt and the Suns had a "Valley" shirt.  I don't think euro soccer supporters are ready for that.  "Man City" is not going to fly for an actual $90 official game jersey. Also, it is a bit jarring to see Puma using the same template across multiple large clubs when we know they can do stuff like this,  and Kappa is making these fantastic kits for Venezia.

Supposed to hang w Kyle Martino tomorrow. He’s a founder of a hardcourt soccer league called Street FC. He’s coming to Austin tomorrow and setting up a pickup game at our pregame spot. I want to touch his hair.
It happened. He was fun to have a beer with. And he played for a bit. Pretty fun watching Sunday leaguers get big eyes and go at Martino thinking they were going to have a chance to get anything over on him when he was actually trying.

I've liked Bonetti since his start on Bein, and it's cool to see IFTV grow so much.  They were good fun during the Euros.

IFTV apparently was at the Cafe I go to back in 2019. Bonetti was a huge influence and helped the main IFTV guys when they first started. If you are subbed to Bonetti and his wife Kay's pod there is an interview he does with the IFTV guys during the pandemic which was amazing.

So you did touch his hair?  What was it like?

Mikel Arteta says he was "surprised" Arsenal's Premier League game against Brentford was not postponed after several members of his squad tested positive for coronavirus.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Willian and back-up goalkeeper Alex Runarsson all missed the Gunners' 2-0 defeat last Friday after contracting the virus

Offsides question.

Forwards X and Y are both onsides thanks to one defender back plus the keeper. Ball struck by Z. Defender then falls and X and Y run past. X possesses the ball legally.

Can X and Y pass back and forth freely at this point? Only player between them and goal is the keeper. Or can Y not receive the ball unless a defender again passes him first?

At this point X can only pass the ball to Y if Y is behind the ball when X plays it.

@Transferzone00: 🚨 Juventus want to do a direct swap deal with Tottenham. Weston McKennie 🇺🇲 to Spurs, whilst Tanguy Ndombele 🇫🇷 goes in the other direction. #Juve #THFC
