I'm actually kinda rooting for Bayern here but seeing Neuer get beat is always satisfying in the same way that Indiana Jones outsmarts the smug Nazis.

how come cbs sports .com doenst have soccer coverage?
Probably because they have no rights to the sport in any fashion.
no scores, no nuthin. :kicksrock:
It is odd. They had decent World Cup coverage and that main world Cup page is still there which links all current soccer tweets but nothing else.
am i blind?

Are you asking about the World Cup page I mentioned?

That Neymar kid is pretty good when nobody marks him...
I remember way back in November 2014 when that Suarez guy was a bust.
Seems so long ago that Barca was a team in crisis, Suarez was a bust, Messi wanted out and Neymar might not return from the injury...... How could they ever catch RM?
I was only half listening to Tyler this afternoon, but he seemed to suggest that Luis Enrique just decided to throw the three of them out there on the training pitch and had them figure out how to work together themselves. Its a real testament to Suarez that he seems to be the first guy who Messi is perfectly content to cede the middle of the pitch to. It's given them great balance, and has even improved the defense because there's not nearly as much call for Alves to go crazy on the overlap (consequently, I think Alves has had his best year for Barca since his first year).

Perhaps, but Benatia, Alonso and Bernat all looking to the side judge, raising their hands must irk Bayern fans. They should be defending.
It irks me by every player on every team at every level. That and rushing the ref.I knew it was an impossible task today, but I'm happy with the respectable result.

I'll be pulling for Barca no matter tomorrow's results.

While cleaning out four years of PMs this evening (yeah, I don't get many), I discovered an old conversation that reminded me why I chose Southampton as my club. In one of my first ever PL games I watched them beat Liverpool. Years later, I don't think that will ever get old.

Part of this is just due to the Spanish media freak out about something every week.

Season and CL still isn't over.

LFC is going to need to buy 2 more strikers, since Studge is out until October at least. I don't really rate Ings, and would prefer they not get him unless he's very cheap.

Liverpool, Arsenal, and both Manchester clubs are all going to be linked to the same guys. Lacazette, Aubemayang, Dybala, maybe Benzema (although I don't see how Madrid sells anyone with a transfer ban around the corner, that includes Bale).

Tevez pondering over a move to MLS

Big News Network (IANS)Wednesday 13th May, 2015

Juventus striker Carlos Tevez is reportedly pondering a possible move to the United States-based Major League Soccer (MLS).

The 31-year-old Argentine has contacted MLS teams and has shown interest in the competition, tribalfootball.com reported on Wednesday.

Former West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City striker Tevez has previously wanted to move to Argentine club Boca Juniors after his time with Juventus but then insisted he would not be moving to Boca anytime soon.

However, Tevez's interest in the US' top flight football tournament is believed to be genuine and he could quite possibly make the move this summer.

Tevez, presently leads Serie A's goal scoring chart with 20 strikes for the Italian champions and has also netted seven times in the Champions League ahead of the semi-final second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

On Tuesday, Tevez was included in Argentina's preliminary 30-man squad for the Copa America to be held in Chile from June 11 to July 4.

Tevez is still pretty good. I know he's 31, but he's still a stud.

If his head was on straight, he would be a great on the field signing.

With MLS, it tends to be more about attitude then it is about age with these very good players. If they take it seriously (Becks, Keane, Henry, Kaka, etc all came over at this ~ age), they do very well after they adjust.

yeah- and Tevez's game has always involved hustle... if he wasn't interested in continuing that, I'm sure he'd still be a good player- but nowhere near the guy who's played in Europe. given that he's leading Serie A in goals, do we really think he wouldn't find one last european payday before coming over?

eta: how many attacking players can Toronto afford, anyways?

It sounds like the deal is done. I don't get why so many LFC fans are against Ings. He's 22, and he's super cheap. Who knew Harry Kane would do what he did. Sometimes these young strikers can explode. Ings had 10 goals on a pretty bad team. I know he won't be in a position at LFC to get 10 goals, as I see him as more of an end-of-game spark guy, or maybe a Europa league players, but I think Ings is a solid prospect.

If the website I'm looking at is correct he's only paid 5.5million euros (or a little north of 6 million dollars with the current exchange rate). You'd have to assume he'd have to take some type of paycut, so I wouldn't be shocked if he could make more money in the US, but who knows.

I forget, but how amicable was his Man City departure? They could certainly do a Lamps 2.0, here.

:goodposting:

I like Ings from what I've seen of him. Don't see him as a guy that's going to push any team into the "elite" stratosphere... right now. but I totally agree with your assessment. he works hard, has decent foot skills and is always finding dangerous spots in front of goal.

I thought that was in the middle of his spell there and that it was "resolved" and he came back to play, but I could be misremembering that.
