Saw this quote for the La Liga fans:

"Sevilla beat Dnipro in the Europa League final in Warsaw, Barcelona won in Berlin, and in 32 two-leg European games or one-off finals against non-Spanish teams, Spanish teams have prevailed 30 times."

I was so happy when that guy from Athletic shoved Neymar to the ground in the Copa final. I watch my kid's academy team warming up and half the kids are practicing rainbows. My son can't do a simple stepover in a game but works endlessly on his rainbow in the front yard. "Dad, Conner can do a rainbow" he says. #### Conner and his rainbow, it's all Neymar's fault. I search YouTube and find a dozen videos of Neymar losing the ball trying rainbows in Brazil and Spain. "It's the Brazilian way of playing" he says or some ####, but it never works, is pure bull####. Has he ever completed one? At least the rabona, which I am on record as hating, is occasionally useful. #### that guy and his rainbows.
He pulls off so much magic out of nowhere that doesn't make highlight reels because they don't end in goals. They still work and get by double and triple teams, but then he makes a pass or gets fouled, so it isn't on Sports Center. Meanwhile, yeah, he'll lose some balls and haters will make youtube videos about it. He has this Brazil team on his back. Without him they might lose games 7-1. And we're talking ####### Brazil here. He's a top 5 player in the world, easy. At 23.
He's probably not even a top five player on Brazil. Crazy talk.

Aguero was good at Atletico, but not as good as he's been for City (about half the goal scoring rate as in England). And he transferred five years ago.

Suarez was coming out of Holland four and a half years ago. And he transferred for a bit more than that recently.

:lmao:

Most reports/rumors continue to speculate Pirlo is deciding between Liverpool and NYCFC. Other suggest he does not want to leave Italy.

I think that's a reference to Alexis Sanchez, not Luis Suarez. (not sure)

And Willian is Delly.. carrying the team

Unbelievable...Real Zaragoza is playing Giro in Spanish Segunda Division playoff. They lost the 1st leg 3-0 at home, seemingly ending any hope of promotion. They have just taken 3-0 lead into halftime on the road...word.
Is this on anywhere?
Unfortunately, no...Zaragoza scored a 4th, but Girona pulled one back...4-4 on aggregate with 5 mins reg time left.Dammit...seems they lose on away goal.
I know you all wait with bated breath...Zaragoza actually won on away goals & then beat Las Palmas 3-1 at home Wed...just have to hold on today on the road, & they return to La Liga. Would be quite remarkable, all things considered. Barca/Madrid, en garde!

Atlético reportedly eyeing Callejón from Napoli. He'd be a nice wide attacking player that knows the Spanish game well. I only watched Napoli play a few times, and he didn't get much time at Real when he was there. Thoughts on his game, especially playing on the left wing in a 4-4-2?

A little more attacking of a player than we typically see on the outside midfield for Atletico. He sometimes played deeper for Real Madrid, mostly on the right, so he is versatile.

His one liability seems to be his unwillingness to track back, lack of aggressiveness; doesn't seem to to be a Simeone-type winger...a significantly more talented Cerci ( from what I've seen from him at Napoli, ~7-8games). I really like his game, not sure of the fit.

Both Callejon and Griezman seem like a better fit as wider, attacking mids than the roles they (would) have in the current Atletico system

Man, Peruvian defenders Zambrano(cb) & Advinculo(rb) have looked world class vs Brazil, Venezuela & now Colombia. Very impressive; both 25, interesting to see which major suitors ( if any) come beckoning after this Copa America.

Can someone walk me through the steps to bounce FuboTV on my iPad up to my tv via Chromecast?
The below assumes Chromecast is already set up on your tv

1) go to app store and install the Chromecast app and Fubotv app on your ipad

2) After they install, launch the Chromecast app and connect it to your tv (look under the devices menu)

3) open the app on your ipad that steams (Fubo in your case)

4) connect the Fubo to the Chromecast service (I have never used Fubo so you have to figure this out yourself)

See if that gets you close.

Callejon I don't know about (obviously), but the 22 liga goals playing forward (secondary or otherwise) leads me to think that I'd leave Griezmann at striker and look elsewhere for talent on the wing. He played there in the beginning of the year, and wasn't as impactful as when he played up top. He's not an excellent crosser and does better when he can cut inside, or create space in between defenders to receive a pass. I see your point about his style of play, but he's not as much creative for others as he is creative for himself, and thus a more natural forward and not a winger.

Despite the goals, Brazil's attack has been woeful...no imagination, no flow; stagnant...( not to hear Ray tell it, of course)

It was a nice play by el Vino Tinto to pull one back, but too little too late. Time to right the ship for the next Copa America. I expect to see them play better when I see them live next summer in DC (or Philly, or NY, or...). Hopefully they don't scrap the Centenario Copa. Any more news on that front?

Uverse and Fox have finally kissed and made up and settled their differences. You will now see new soccer programming on FS1 instead of darts.

Swansea has had a better offseason than the friggin' Union have had on the field. August can't get here quick enough so I can ignore those underachieving humps.

Petr Cech off to Arsenal for 11M pounds. Under normal circumstances, teams dont sell key players to rivals but Cech really wanted to stay in London so Mourinho/Abramovich accomodated him. Huge coup for Arsenal - Cech is only 33 and has many good years ahead of him. I actually rated him better than Courtois last year. Wouldve prefered he was sent to PSG or Madrid or elsewhere but the club wanted to do the player right. Classy move IMO.

FWIW Chelsea already found his replacement

Between getting Cech for the price of a seat at the Emirates to a game against West Brom and an order of crisps and getting Sanchez for less than Liverpool offered, I'm beginning to think its better to be lucky than good at this transfer business.

Will definitely buy a "Cech Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself" tee in Arsenal red as soon as WhoAreYa offers it.
