GOOOAAALLlLl Agudelo!!

Oh come on!!

Whoo!!

Sorry, I'll stop polluting your thread now

I do appreciate that Buster Bluth is reffing tonight's match

Dang that was a pretty goal

Here we go DAIGO!

Missing the handball in the box AND tossing our best player seems like overkill

Man, the attendance at RFK is just embarrassing. It's like Barra Brava and then a sea of open seats.

EDIT: Yes, I live in DC and am watching this from home.

Is it laziness or lack of soccer IQ? My problem with Swagudelo has always been that he doesn't score enough "bad" or "easy" goals.
I have watched the kid play every minute for the Revs during the season he has been here and I can't answer that question.

I want to think it is laziness but it might be a slight mix of both. He just has that Jozy vibe sometimes where he looks dis-interested, but then he hangs around because every one hopes they can unlock the moments of brilliance into more consistent play.

No coach has found that formula yet though.

Jones going after Geiger like a Loose Seal.
I thought the ref was bleeding from where his hand used to be, but it was only a red card
Might be the last act for Jones in a Revs uniform. If he insists he is still worth $3m a year that is.
Its not like we'll spend the money on anyone else
Burns might be the most clueless GM in the business. He can't even understand how to spend to the salary cap which does not even come out of the Kraft's pockets.

Can't wait for this Seattle LA game. If I am not mistaken, Seattle has never beaten LA in the playoffs. This might be their best chance.

And if they do knock off LA tonight, I could have lost $1000's if some one had bet me shortly after Gio arrived that LA would not make the conference semi finals.

And Henry certainly didn't either. I've never seen a teammate look so irritated and disappointed all in the same glance. Every game.

Turns out that Pineda was kind of important, I guess.

3 horrendous defensive plays by LA caused all 3 goals.

Montreal vs Toronto tomorrow should be just as fun. Drogba and Giovinco are easily the two best first year DP's ever in the league.

LA is going to have to live with Gerrard next year but I bet they are hoping he retires. The mind is willing but there is nothing left.

NYCFC has similar issues with Pirlo.

I'm not so sure. Do you remember Sasha Grey's rookie year?

juan pablo angel was pretty good too.

that LA v SEA game was a blast though... non-stop end to end. kinda strange to see Deuce and martins so disconnected (especially 2nd half). also yeah- Stevie G has had the "not sure I signed up for all of this" look since coming over. just seems off.

I loved the game because they wasted so little time in the midfield. I would guess a majority of the game was played in either teams final 3rd which is why there were so many chances both ways.

That's a very kind way to say "the defenses sucked". :)

The LA defense was putrid, but that was not my general point.

They simply got after it. No semblance of tiki taka at all. Just get the ball and advance at all cost. Because of the constant pressure both ways, the game stayed open in the midfield.

And having Gerrard sucking seventeen different types of wind helped too :)

I really liked how committed both teams were to getting 3-5 guys forward all game... crappy defense or no. guys were running all over the place.

Keane supposedly had a long talk with him to let him know the realities of the league in terms of the physicality, the pace, the travel, the turf etc before he signed.

I don't think it is something that every player can picture clearly, which is why so many struggle in their first year here.

me too. I know this is not how every one likes the sport but I love a fast athletic game where teams priority is to score first instead of defending first.

I haven't seen that many Gals games... but the ones I have seen, Gerrard is non-existent (other than the camera focusing on him any time he touches the ball). Gio... is the center of everything happening each game I've seen. even Becks- he came over and got himself really involved (IMO) through workrate and determination (and skill). hopefully Gerrard will adjust and impose more of himself next year.
