Buffon has been Juve's best passer.Man it sounds like Juve had nothing going in the first half. From Paul Carr:

Going to go out on a limb and say that it's not ideal to have both center backs trying to cut out a run into the channels in the opponent's half. High pressure 75 minutes into a game is a dangerous proposition.
Especially when one of those center backs is as slow as Mertesacker. Arguable that the BFG shouldn't even be in the lineup for this one - it's not like Barca has a significant aerial threat to deal with.Going to go out on a limb and say that it's not ideal to have both center backs trying to cut out a run into the channels in the opponent's half. they don't...both came into the big leagues through other teams. Palermo and Real Madrid in this caseBtw, how does a big club like Juve keep finding wonderkids like Dybala and Morata? 22 and 23 and scoring/assisting in UCL this late in the competition.
Guess I didn't know the history on the two. But seriously, even given their big play last year would a BPL team have slotted either of them into start at the beginning of the season?they don't...both came into the big leagues through other teams. Palermo and Real Madrid in this case
The entire bar was laughing when they showed that highlight. 5 touches to the left before the shot - the man is a walking, breathing internet meme. Even when he's inside he cuts inside!!Did he cut back on his left foot?

I think Messi is still looking for his first career goal against Petr Cech, unless I missed something recently.
They almost signed Suarez too.Arsenal were in for Morata in 2014 when Juventus signed him.
Arsenal and City were linked with Dybala last year. Juventus signed him for over 25 million pounds. He wasn't some budget pick-up.
The scorching hot Dons move into a playoff slot with their 7th win in 8.
Wimbledon has always sacked me dating back to CM 97/98. I don't even bother anymore.Football Manager thread is a few doors down ...... . .
This is Concacaf's second biggest event after the Gold Cup.Bit of a raw deal for DCU. Thought they were the better side overall but the preseason lack of form was on display. Thought they had the best chance of the mls teams to advance
I don't think he's THAT immobile. Gabriel sucks pretty bad.Especially when one of those center backs is as slow as Mertesacker. Arguable that the BFG shouldn't even be in the lineup for this one - it's not like Barca has a significant aerial threat to deal with.
This season? Of course. Last season? Morata yes, if not Dybala too.Guess I didn't know the history on the two. But seriously, even given their big play last year would a BPL team have slotted either of them into start at the beginning of the season?
I guess that's an advantage that a team like Juve have, they can incorporate youngsters in during league play and not worry about dropping points, whereas I'm not sure that's the case in the BPL.
Shifting it back six weeks would put the semis and final right in the middle of the Liga MX playoffs. This is Concacaf's second biggest event after the Gold Cup.
I don't understand why they won't shift these quarter finals 6 weeks later to assure that teams are in season instead of the MLS teams always in preseason. Not only would it be more sporting, it would likely be more lucrative from an attendance stand point. Having games in the northern US and Canada in February is nuts.
