I am half tempted to quit soccer because he did not win.
I had a good laugh this morning checking Twitter after I woke up.  Back-to-back tweets of "Sexwale says that no matter who wins, everyone will party.  But if he wins, it'll be an even better party." and "BREAKING: Sexwale removes himself from FIFA race"

:lmao:  only ####### FIFA

You've seen them play recently - did you really think they both were going to win next round?

Unfortunately you are correct, but the draw (had it gone differently) could have given some hope.  But yes, now at least 1 English team will be in the rd of 8 where as before it could have been 0, 1, 2, or 3....

I will be disappointed if they lose - but this is why a lot of these guys play - games like this across leagues against top competition.  It will be good for Spurs, and their supporters, win or lose.

I just meant stop perputuating that "concentrate on the league" bull####.

I know what you meant - but the reality is it is easier to play just a single competition than pay a bunch of mid-week games.

I don't want Spurs to field a lesser team against Dortmund, just to make the league "easier" - and Pochettino has taken Europa pretty seriously this year, with minimal rotation - but if they lose, the upside is that it clears some congestion during the run in.

*I also won't make excuses if Spurs lose league games while contending in Europa.  They have a deep enough squad that they can play multiple competitions.  They may be lacking in some experience to be able to chase a league title, but it won't be because they lack the talent or fitness among all the players.

Come on now.  Arsenal should be concentrating on the league rather than the Champions League, and you know it as well as I do.

I hate this phrase sooooo much. It is a loser mentality. Win everything you can. So you play twice some weeks. Who gives a ####. It isn't that big a deal. I remember playing in some U10 tourneys where we would play three times IN ONE DAY! Suck it up, pros.

Friggin Bein...they interrupt the live Roma-Empoli game to show Ronaldo (whining as only he can) in a press conference, thereby missing Roma's 3rd goal...if only they had a Spanish version/channel for this nonsense...Didn't think i could hate Ronaldo anymore (sorryGator).  C'MON, IT'S EMPOLI, AFTER ALL!!

And how is Norwich? Just admit that you guys all watched an inferior product this morning because you're a bunch of sheep.

:lmao:

Here's what happened

Atletico played soccer that made Chelsea look like Barcelona and the game ended 0-0

I'll save it for when I can't sleep

Maybe if La Liga didn't sell their rights to some godforesaken cable channel that's a tier within even itself I'd care more.
I don't know what tier it's in, I'm just happy It' an option. That wasn't always the case. Pretty sure it doesn't cost much. Really sure it's worth it. We're taking about a couple GOATs playing in our lifetime and the most accomplished league of the past decade. Yeah, I'll pay a little extra to be there for that.

I guess everyone is skipping the Capital One Cup then

Another year, another failure to get past the Chelsea/United bogeymen.  Doesn't matter how poorly they're playing.  United is bringing 13 year old kids off the bench with numbers in the 70s and Arsenal can't get past em.  What a laugher.

Two years ago, I didn't know what a League Cup final was. Today I'm a nervous wreck.  Good first half For Liverpool.  On pins and needles!
