Real with one if the most laughable group of opponents en route to the final in recent memory (sorry kafka).  Malmo, Roma, Wolfsburg, and a toothless City

 
Is Atletico officially a power now?  I only see Bayern, Real and Barca as true dominant teams.  English teams are going to struggle going forward IMO because there is so much money in England, the bottom half will never be an easy win.  PSG seems to be the opposite of English teams, where they are never challenged domestically, so it's hard to reach there full potential.  Borussia had a magical season, but seem to have regressed back to a good German team, nothing more.  I have no idea what is going on in Italy, Juventus is strong, but the rest seems to offer very little.

Any team been bought by a Sheik lately?  Any teams on the cusp that I don't get the chance to see?  Leicester?

Atletico has been a power for a while now.  Hopefully Simeone makes a bad decision to leave soon 

 
Saying England has too much money to be successful is a bit of an odd argument.

 It is a transition period as tradional powers like United and Liverpool are a shell of themselves.  Arsenal plainly needs a new philosophy. Chelsea is shaking off the Mourihno hangover. 

Spurs are very exciting going forward and Leicester has obvious potential.  City's money with Pep's system will be exciting.  

I see a changing of the guard more than anything l, but it is taking time

The stronger the bottom half of the league, the harder it is to rotate players in those games.  More wear and tear on the starters, more injuries, and they pick up the rest elsewhere (*cough* Europa).

I think they need to ditch the League Cup.

 
League Cup is pretty silly, but I think the depth of the EPL continues to be very overrated when compared to La Liga and the Bundesliga

Real: 5-1, 4-0, 4-0, 7-1, 6-0, 5-1, 5-0, 10-2, 6-0, 5-0

21 of their games ended with a 4+ goal difference. That's 30% of their games. And that's to say nothing about the games they won by 3. Yep, those La Liga bottom feeders put up a hell of a fight.

 
As a comparison there have been only 19 games total in the PL with a 4 GD. I didn't see any over 4. And Crystal Palace, Everton (x2), Southampton (over Arsenal), Newcastle & Leicester (who made a habit of grinding out 1 goal victories) were responsible for 6 of those.

All you're really arguing is how adept Barcelona and Real are at scoring lots of goals and the differences in tactical style between the leagues. Even when losing, relegation-threatened Spanish teams like Rayo and Deportivo continue to attack instead of turtling in defense.
 

Results in the CL and Europa League, where comparable teams actually play, have shown the gap for years.

You're reaching, but need to justify this consistent failure somehow...
