"I could care less about the new loan striker from Columbia who is going to be playing in The MLS"
good posting, if his name was Falcao then I would definitely be caring less.

Mourinho, Ibra, Pogba - are they back to gallactico status at United?

Real must be seething mad. They've held the transfer record for nearly 10 years straight, with Ronaldo then Bale (understanding Barca most likely underreported the fee it paid for Neymar).  They probably won't sit still for long. Expect 122mil Euros for Hazard before the window closes.

I know United has a near endless source of revenue but could there be any consequences if they fail to get the CL money yet again in the coming years?

hfs pogba.

is carrick still the holding mf at united? just trying to figure out who's around him and behind the zlatan.
In theory they could have gotten Kante, Xhaka and Batshuayi for that fee.  Is the rest of the squad really good enough that it makes sense to spend that much on one player?

So Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Mata, Depay, Schweini, Fallaini, Herrera, Januzaj, Lingard, Carrick, schneiderlin, Pereira, and Young? Jesus they  have a lot of mid fielders for a non CL team.

Mario Gomez has just announced he will not return to Turkey because of the political upheaval there.

I believe Fiorentina still holds his rights and he is going to be a semi hot commodity after leading the Turkish league in scoring and scoring a couple of goals at the Euro this past summer.

I guess it really depends on formation, if Pogba is coming in and what Jose decides to do with Rooney.  And despite no CL, they are still in Europa, FA, League Cup and EPL.

PLEASE SELL  :fro:

Rooney can sit his slow #### down and sorry but Schweini isnt needed.  Herrera and Mata are interchangeable, esp if Mata is sold.  Januzaj, Memphis, Lingard can rotate in and get some cup games. Young can help, he didn't do bad at winger or defender, just dont try and play him as a striker like LVG. If he was sold wouldnt hurt

I would like to see:

                  Zlatan
Martial     Pereira Mata      Mkhi
             Schneiderlin
Shaw Bailley Smalling Fosu-Mensa

This wouldnt surprise either

                Zlatan
Martial         Mkhi            Rashford
           Schneiderlin Carrick
Shaw Bailley Smalling Fosu-Mensa

IF Pogba comes in would be ecstatic to go:

              Zlatan Rashford
Martial        Pogba      Mkhi
             Schneiderlin
Shaw Bailley Smalling Fosu-Mensa

Unfortunately we may have to see more Rooney instead of Pereira/Herrera/Mata and Carrick over Schneiderlin.

PLEASE SELL  :fro:

You can only play 11 at a time so overpaying for quality over quantity at the highest level makes sense.  The one criticism of Pogba is that he's not the type of player (yet) who can elevate a team and change the outcome of a match.  I'm not sure I agree because we struggle to measure impact when it doesn't directly lead to a goal.

They did buy Mkhtaryian (42mil) and Bailly (38mil) this summer as well.

I know both of those names are almost certainly misspelled, so #### off the rest of you.  I could care less only if I were dead, in which case I would only care slightly less than I care now.

I am not sure hes worth 100mill, but his youth and his percieved impact at juventes the last 4 years may set that bar that high.  He can still grow and improve and if he does that amount may seem like a bargain.    Plus, he would be a better option in the middle of the park then most of the names listed above.

Glad to know exactly how much you care.

Maybe we should have a numerical scale for caring. We'd use negative numbers for caring less, of course.
I would propose the "Yaya scale" - with Yaya playing in a mid-season game for City being the lowest anyone could possibly care about something, and Yaya on his birthday being the most anyone could possibly care about something.

Going to break in my new Diadora's tonight in my first non "parents vs. kids" soccer playing. Gotta say, I'm a bit nervous. About my quote unquote skills and also my quote unquote fitness. Probably just shuffle from box to box for an hour, maybe slide tackle my kid once just to try it.

Avoiding injury is my main focus...

NE advances to the US Open Cup semi finals after beating Philly in PK's tonight at Harvard.

NE looks like the will be playing Chicago in the semis, as the Fire is up 3-0 late in second half of their quarterfinal over Ft Lauderdale.

Houston and Dallas are level very late in regulation.

LA vs Seattle kicks off in a few minutes.
