They couldn't beat Leicester last season while pretty much punting EL and focusing on the league. Doubt they can compete with a revamped City/United and Champions League.
They'll be back to being third in London

Who did? Leicester did win the league, remember? They couldn't beat Leicester last season
drunken kafka alias?Who did? Leicester did win the league, remember?
Only one team was within 2 points, punted another competition to hopefully overtake them and couldn't.Who did? Leicester did win the league, remember?
I like this thinking. One other point that I'd like to make tho, Spurs have to keep their cool better than they did last year. Alli and Dier were constantly on yellows and often because they lost their cool, not for 'professional' fouls. That's part of the maturation process they need to go through, keeping their cool.

funny thingGo steal something.
Only bad-ish one was the third one, but it was Cesc so lolDier's greatest hits.
Thank goodness Clattenberg is the best referee in England. Most probably couldn't have handled a hot-blooded match like that.
Leicester - I want to say everyone's underestimating them and I do think that's the case for folks having them 10-12, but it's going to be a tough season for them with the European travel - they were too solid last year though to just fall off the map.
8. Leicester
here's my take- beyond the loss of Kante.![]()
I agree with your sentiment. Leicester are champions. They need to drop points to fall. I think they keep this story going and are in the top 4 long enough to make another run. I don't see any good reason why they won't.
Did you see Grant Walhs tweet: USWNT audience is about 5 times bigger then the PL? Thought that was interestingIt should be interesting to see how the USWNT loss will affect their upcoming CBA negotiations.
Much of their case was based on large revenue projections, but the projections were based mostly on what was hoped to be a huge Gold Medal barnstorming tour around the country.
But I think that it is a bit disingenuous.Did you see Grant Walhs tweet: USWNT audience is about 5 times bigger then the PL? Thought that was interesting
He was commenting on Rebecca Lowe and someone else being in rio while the EPL was kicking off and the size of the audience. Sounded a little off to me, but wasnt quite sure. But I think that it is a bit disingenuous.
The USMNT drew World Cup TV audiences bigger than any baseball, basketball or hockey game (and 4 times as large as the women's Olympic games) but we know that does not make them automatically as popular as other sports/teams.
It is the same with the women, on a smaller scale.
The event is the big driver imo.
The most watched EPL games typically draw roughly around 1 million. One of the recent US Women's Olympic game drew around 5 million . That is where he is getting the 5 times number from I believe. He was commenting on Rebecca Lowe and someone else being in rio while the EPL was kicking off and the size of the audience. it makes sense. The women (and men) will draw a bigger number due to the event. With no well televised league games you cant really compare USWNT to EPL though. The most watched EPL games typically draw roughly around 1 million. Hope Solo: "We lost to a bunch of cowards. The better team did not win"
Spoken like a true "Ranger".Leicester fans should be happy finishing anywhere that's not in the relegation zone.

Do you think I'm contradicting myself with putting them 8? Thought about it but with Mahrez possibly leaving and Kante gone they could be without 2 of their better players from last season. I think they will want to show something in Europe so will chance tired legs in league play. Theirs worst-case scenario is to get 3rd in their group and go to the Europa league and fall to mid-table. I think fighting for a European spot for next season wouldn't be horrible result for them.Sebowski said:![]()

Her butt is far more attractive than her mouth.Meh, she just likes showing her butt
The full quote was not quite as bad. Still should not have said what she did - but that quote by itself looks worse than the entirety of the statement.Stay classy, bltch.
The only place Rebecca Lowe should be is in my lap.He was commenting on Rebecca Lowe and someone else being in rio while the EPL was kicking off and the size of the audience. Sounded a little off to me, but wasnt quite sure.
Tomorrow morning at 830 central, they'll be back on top of the EPL.Sebowski said:![]()

If Mahrez leaves that is a different story. He hasn't left. They are champs until they start dropping points for me.Do you think I'm contradicting myself with putting them 8? My buddy runs this EPL weekly pool. $10 a week. Prizes weekly and at season's end. Jersey giveaway each week as well. From what I'm told. I haven't read the rules. I'm doing it though.

It's actually EPL plus the Newcastle game since he refuses to think of them being out.
