Of course it matters. I have Direct TV. I want to watch games without having to stream. I am also willing go to bars, but 98% of bars have Direct TV.

I just talked to one good beer/pizza bar that has cable and so I'm going to try to make that a Barça bar now.
How the ceiling height?

McGree or Pavard for me.
With the Puskas, there's always a balancing of pure luck, right place/right time and skill.  Most great goals are a combination of all three.  The unbelievable scorpion type goals like McGree's (or, I think it was Giroud a year or two ago) seem pretty heavily stacked on the luck side, so I typically overlook them.  That said, while they likely could never be repeated if the goalscorer had 1000 more tries, the fact is it takes great skill just to get his foot on the ball in the first place, and it takes huge balls to even try something like that, so you have to credit the guy.

Yeah, I can see that point. And I would still put that goal just linked above any other for voting from last year.

The Danish soccer federation and the Danish players are at a stand still in negotiations.

Instead of the cancelling the two friendlies this week, the Danish federation will use the Danish Futsal National team to play the friendlies.

This should go well.

Something is rotten in Denmark...

Followed proceedings in an Ohio Courthouse on Twitter today (no resolution). Getting ready to watch a livestream of Nashville City Council. Because that’s what I’ve become. I used to be cool.

Nashville cleared the final hurdle after being close to being buried 2 weeks ago.

BREAKING: Metro Council votes 31-8 to approve fairgrounds demolition bill, clearing the way for the MLS stadium.

Welcome Inter Miami to MLS B

David Beckham's Major League Soccer team will be called Club Internacional de Futbol Miami - or Inter Miami CF - and the club's crest has been unveiled.

Inter Miami will make their MLS debut in 2020, after being awarded an expansion contact in January.

The crest is pink, black and white, featuring two herons and a sun with seven rays - which are a "homage" to the ex-England captain's career.

"This is such a proud day for myself and for the entire team," said Beckham.

I spent hours watching that stream. I now have a hole in my life without a city council debate on soccer to stream. Who’s up next? Miami?

Inter? I cringe.

Guess I am the only one who likes the name Inter Miami

I used to be cool too
The name was leaked months ago so I have had some time to get used to it.  I don't like it, nor do I hate it.  I think it could work in that market especially if they are going to follow a theme of being international.

I do like the introduction of pink into the colors of MLS as a new color is needed.

I hope the ownership group is saving its pennies and will be targeting James Rodriguez as their first DP.  He should be right around 30 when Miami finally starts which puts him in range to afford.

I should also note that there is not a lot of correlation between how much fans hate a teams name and how the team performs off the field.

Atlanta's name was universally derided and we saw how that turned out.

And people absolutely hated KC changing its name to Sporting and that turned out to be one of the most successful rebrands in history from a business stand point.

MANUFACTURING
I have been trying to work this speech into my every day conversations like when my wife asks me to take out the trash or my daughter asks a home work question.

It is not going over well with the family....  :lmao:

I need to work on my cadence I think.....

I do like the color and that it’s different. Also think things reflect the Miami culture.

At least the CF makes some sense if they are going with a Spanish name for the club.  Not as bad as Real Salt Lake or Atlanta/Minnesota United FCs.  Still bad,
I guess they are going for Spanish, but I think the spelling could also be Portuguese, right?  They could be going for a Brazilian vibe. No telling really.

Well, I said Spanish because they appear to be making this the full name:  Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami

Brasilian club names are scattered across different naming conventions.
