Depay to Barcelona confirmed. Will be interesting to see the attack next year with him and Aguero joining Griezmann and Messi. Ansu Fati will also hopefully be healthy (Dembele maybe not).

#BrahimDiaz is almost done to #ACMilan from #RealMadrid on loan with option to buy (€20M). Brahim wants to stay at Milan and he hasn’t considered other possibilities. Scheduled a meeting in the next days to close the deal. Confirmed! #transfers

 
Inter just overpaid for Hakan Chanoglu. 13.5M Euros over 3 yrs plus agent fees. Free transfer and they did this because of the uncertainty with Erickson but Jesus

Trust me you'll be saying the same thing about this guy. He'll look good for half a season then look like the worst player ever. Also theres a lot of reports Milan and Elliot didn't like Hakan's attitude this season as he seamed more concerned about his contract then with playing. But you won't hear them throw a player under the bus publicly

I'm sorry this deal is even worse then I thought for Hakan 

However, the source adds that if the 27-year-old had renewed with Milan under the terms offered by Inter – €5m net per year plus €1m bonuses – the new salary would have weighed about €9.25m on the budget. A possible sale in the 2022 summer transfer market would have made it possible to make a good capital gain too.

Therefore, Inter will pay out €9.25m per year gross for Calhanoglu and it must be understood if there are any commissions for this deal to his agent Gordon Stipic, as there almost always are in these kinds of amortisation. Three seasons at €9.25m gross means €27.75m in total.

This got me thinking about Messi coming to MLS. What ive seen of him for Barca the last couple years..doesnt strike me as your typical veteran leader; he looks and plays petulant when the team isnt playing well. Not a team leader, exalting the players on when its not going their way...even if he's always leading by example on the ball and excited for his teammates when they're doing well.

Not seeing that translate well to MLS when the players around him arent up to his standards and his own abilities will inevitably be diminished.

No making excuses but I've heard rumors Messi have autism and the Messi's have been trying to keep it quite for yrs. Which could be a cause of some of his behavior

Possibly - I was at the game with my daughter so was talking with her so maybe missed something.  That is kind of lame though as it seems like most of the coaches do this at different times and I've never heard of it happening (granted it could have and I didn't hear about it).

Hakimi going to PSG for 70M Euros. That will help balance the books for Inter but honestly I think thats as big of a loss for them as losing Conte. Hakimi depending who you ask was a top 2 LWB along with Theo Hernandez of rival Milan in the Calcio this past season. 

 
Well, Greizemann, Messi, Ronaldo joining Matuidi and the Higuain boys at Inter Miami is going to be fun to watch, no matter how old they are.

Abolishing the away goal rule might mean more games decided by penalties, right?  I haven’t really considered it, but that seems likely.

I don’t care that much, but don’t think I’ll miss it. The whole point was to incent teams to be more aggressive in both games, and I don’t think it had that effect. In many cases it was the opposite. It was so gut-wrenching to play a team even over two legs and be knocked out on an away goal, especially if it came aet in the second leg at home.

Probably means more OT in the 2nd leg for sure and potentially more PKs.  So which is worse, Away Goals or PKs?

And I agree, it probably didn't create the intended results overall.  I guess we'll see if removing it does anything.

I always feel like these weak rule changes have a minimal effect and that eventually the coaching mentality of prioritizing preventing goals over scoring goals will always win out.
