Nah, Gerrard was linked this morning, but now its looking more like Nuno Espirito Santo.

But, its Spurs, it will probably be someone different tomorrow.

Ryan Mason is on stand-by to take pre-season training in two weeks.  (True story)

Why would Gerrard give up champions league soccer to go to a team like Spurs?

;)
Well, fortunately for him, its looking more and more likely that Nuno will be the guy.

I've asked @The Gatorfor some Portuguese lessons...

Also:

Nuno = Mendes client

Cristiano = Mendes client

Paratici = Spurs DOF

Paratici signed Cristiano at Juve....

That's right, baby, Gator is about to become a Spurs fan!!!

Fwiw..i like Nuno for Spurs. Loved how he set Wolves up to play in attack, especially with Raul up front...and Kane plays a similar game.

30 April - There is speculation Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag could be in the running for the post but he signs a new contract with the Dutch club
This, too, is not accurate - Ajax exercised a club option for one more year.

He is actually still in the running, but fading fast.

I never quite understood why he was leaving Wolves.  He did a great job there.  And that beard makes him look like the most interesting manager in the world.

the beard AND his name.

I didnt follow if it was his decision or not to leave, but it shouldn't have been an issue of performance. They were up against it this season- a success to stay up, imo.

Will be intersting if jiminez comes back and if they can keep adama.

Maldini knows how to negotiate a deal. he sends two Primavera (Youth Academy) players with no place on the squad on loan to Brescia for 2 years to knock off 10M Euros on the Tonali deal where Milan now will pay Brescia 25M Euros total for Tonali

La Gazzetta dello Sport it are reporting that Milan are close to finally closing a deal for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali on a permanent deal following his year loan. The agreement will likely have a discount and include Primavera midfielder Giacomo Olzer in the deal. But Milan want to keep Olzer to help the UEFA squad numbers for home grown talent. It’s also reported that alongside Olzer, Lorenzo Colombo could also join Brescia but on a two year loan. The formula is now expected to be 10 million euros for the loan (already paid), 10 million as the option to buy and 5 million euros in bonuses. Milan will pay a total of 25 million euros as opposed to original price of 35 million euros.

“Brahim Diaz has developed in Milan. If he can't be here, he will be there”

- Florentino Perez

Brahim Diaz will join AC Milan on loan with option to buy, the deal is almost complete.

So Spurs apparently pulled their offer for Gattuso because of past uh hem lets just say controversial comments however these comments were made over a decade ago and he's changed his opinion. So I was looking at some of the people who were against Gattuso do to these comments online, especially those who link their other accounts to their twitters.

Without getting into full details the hypocrisy from these people and comments are pretty rich. I would say about over half the people I found with linked profiles to their twitter complaining have posted or tweeted or put up pics with comments far worse. If I really wanted to I probably could've reported most of the posts to Twitter/Facebook/IG. We live in a day and age where people who have made mistakes in the past and have repent and apologized for them already are still getting into trouble. I'm all for holding people accountable for past transgressions but when the persons comments were over 5 yrs ago and they've changed thats reaching for the sake of it

Spurs are now on their 100th managerial candidate

Scousers being Scousers ...

Merseyside Police said on Monday they are investigating a threatening banner hung near former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez's family home on the Wirral, as media speculation intensifies over his appointment as Everton boss.

Images on social media showed a banner reading "We know where you live, don't sign" near Benitez's home.

With today's loss Joachim Löw is done as manager of Die Mannshchaft.  Thanks for the memories Jogi!
2008 Euros - 2nd, losing to Spain in the final
2010 World Cup - 3rd, losing to Spain in the semis, and beating Uruguay in the 3rd place match
2012 Euros - lost in the semis to Italy
2014 World Cup - World Champions!
2016 Euros - lost in the semis to France
2018 World Cup - didn't get out of the group stage
2020 Euros - lost in round of 16 to England

Not a bad run.  124-40-33 in 16 years as manager.

I hope they use a breathalyzer first on the fan because....yikes!!!!!!

New Crew Stadium

The Nordecke plans to start a new tradition. Paying homage to the original logo with men in hard hats, a fan will operate a jackhammer on a slab of concrete after each Crew goal.

NoNo Nuno back to being front runner for Spurs.

Paratici “officially” starts as DOF on Thursday- I am expecting some kind of announcement by the end of the week

Rafa Benitez to Everton is official.  This should be interesting.

If Spurs hire Nuno, does that change Kane's mind?  I like what Nuno did at Wolves, could make Spurs interesting too...

HERE WE GO!!!!

Jadon Sancho to Manchester United... HERE WE GO! #MUFC #Sancho Done deal confirmed. Agreement reached between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund. €90m with add ons. Agents fee and personal terms agreed, contract until 2026. Medicals pending - then it’ll be official.

NOW LETS GET A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER AND A CENTER BACK!
Meh. Another bench guy like Rashford.

This is a shame.  It seemed like this time it had some teeth to it.  Hopefully they can meet in the middle some where.  For MLS to make another step forward, having NYCFC in their own stadium instead of the poor situation they have now will be important IMO.

The on-again, off-again NYCFC South Bronx stadium project is...off again, two sources say. The complicated deal has fallen apart — for now — over parking spaces.

The City postponed an upcoming Bronx community board meeting to approve the stadium plan until the fall to give the sides time to resolve their differences over the parking spaces.

Seems pretty silly in NYC of all places.

Newcastle statement on its current arbitration claim against the Premier League

Not sure if non-supporters have been following this closely, but it seems like the EPL with influence from the Super League teams, stopped/dragged feet on the takeover until the Saudis walked away. The league ended using pirating as an excuse but that issue's been resolved. So, what's the hold-up now? Well, MIke Ashley (still a #### and definitely a hypocrite but in this case the enemy of my enemy) would like the EPL to let everyone know.

The Club continues to receive requests for updates on its current arbitration claim against the Premier League (‘EPL’) considering the lawfulness of the EPL’s decisions regarding the proposed takeover of the Club involving the PIF.

Unfortunately, the Club is unable to make any comment about the arbitration. The EPL Rules provide the entire arbitration process is confidential.

However, both parties can agree for it to be in public. The Club believes it should be.

The issues at stake, including the lawfulness of the EPL’s decision making process and the widely publicised alleged influence of the EPL’s commercial partners on the EPL’s decisions, are of far wider interest to other football clubs, fans and the public in general.

The recent attempted breakaway by some EPL clubs - and the reaction of the government and public to it - has again highlighted the need for transparency and fairness in football governance. Gone are the days when important decisions that affect clubs and their fans should be made secretly, behind closed doors and away from the public eye.

The Club has nothing to hide with respect to the arbitration and invites the EPL to agree that it should no longer be held behind closed doors. If the EPL has acted lawfully and properly, it should have no reason to be afraid of the public spotlight.

To date the EPL has strongly resisted any public scrutiny of its decision-making process. It tried, and failed, to prevent the High Court’s judgment about elements of the arbitration being published last February. It is currently attempting to prevent the competition courts considering a claim by the Club’s sellers from taking place in public, arguing that too should be held in confidential arbitration.

So the Club has invited the EPL to agree - as the claim raises such important issues of sports governance, transparency and openness - that it should be held in public. The Club is prepared for every stage of the process to be in public: the public should be able to see the parties’ evidence and arguments as well as the full decision of the Tribunal when it is made.

The government quite rightly threatened to intervene in reaction to the proposed breakaway from the EPL earlier this year, and the reaction of football fans and the wider public was instrumental in stopping the emergence of the European Super League (ESL).

If the EPL continues to insist that the Club’s claim must be determined behind closed doors, the Club asks that MPs, the government, the media and the general public call on the EPL to finally accept public scrutiny of its decision-making process.

No #### the EPL top 6 were ####ting their pants at more competition so they came up with more BS. Also if we are going by Financial Fair play Rules I bet you more then half of the top 6 EPL teams have broken rules but UEFA/FIFA give them a slap on the wrist.

Also the top 6 in the EPL should be demoted 2 leagues next year for trying to Join the Super League and allow Newcastle their dam Oil money like the rest of these MFers
