Got tickets to United v Fulham in February 2024!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:banned:

Please tell me that you have only booked the ticket at this stage
That's it so far, why?

I'd have waited for the FA to announce what dates the Cup will take place, so you know with fair likelihood that match will happen near the date it is scheduled. Should know tomorrow
Guessing you mean the FA Cup? Is that announced tomorrow?
Final of the Carabao cup is 2/25.
Europa Play in games (3rd in CL group vs 2nd in Europa Group) is 2/22

If United or Fulham make the Carabao Cup finals then this will be an issue. Europa game would push the league game to Sunday. Should be ok.

Haven't made any travel plans yet.

Ok, if they've already announced the League Cup final date you should be pretty safe as it'd be surprising if that was also an FA Cup weekend
I would think so but the FA never does anything smart. Sadly I may have to root for United and Fulham to get dumped out of the League Cup. Although I guess we could try and get tickets for that at Wembley if United made it again.

Fifth round is the midweek after when the United/Fulham game is scheduled, so you should be fine
Thanks
First Round Proper - Saturday 4 November 2023
Second Round Proper - Saturday 2 December 2023
Third Round Proper - Saturday 6 January 2024
Fourth Round Proper - Saturday 27 January 2024
Fifth Round Proper - Wednesday 28 February 2024
Quarter-final - Saturday 16 March 2024
Semi-final - Saturday 20 April 2024
The Final - Saturday 25 May 2024

As I know you're a United fan, I would like to take a second to suggest paying up for the VIP experience for the game you are going to. I did it back in 2016 and it was well worth the extra few bucks to me. Now, granted me and my wife like to imbibe and we certainly had more than a few, but they give you three hours of open bar and food - and the food was actually quite decent. You have the chance to sit and chat with a lot of other strong United supporters that often times are visiting from all over the globe - we sat with two awesome guys from Ireland, a couple from Wales and a few others from the UK (can't remember off the top of my head as it was a few years back). Everything about the experience was top notch, they give you a goodie bag of swag, and an ex United player comes and chats for a bit and then will actually engage the crowd - it was a player from the 80's and the name escapes me now but he was more than willing to have a beer and chat with you for a bit. Pretty sure they give you preferred car park spacing as well which is nice especially after the game.
It's going to be cold and rainy in February and a game against Fulham is not going to be the most raucous crowd (my game was against Villa and I had a rant about it how the United posh fans were quiet af while the traveling supporters were in much better voice even though they lost).
I'm sure the additional value I got out of it was the booze and the people I was sat with as it was a fun fun pregame whereas the game was rather drab, but I did figured I'd be remiss by not throwing that out there to a fan. FWIW, the VIP package tickets go for well more than 2x what the Fulham game tickets were against a higher profile club, so you're getting a fair price, imho, especially for a stadium you may well never go to again.

Thanks. Considered it. The hospitality pricing was 50% more in cost and I am sure it would be worth it. But a lot of moving parts with 5 of us going so could still look into it further (just wanted to make sure we got into the game!). Also looking into other possible games (Burnley v Arsenal since my bro in law is an Arsenal supporter), game at Wrexham?....

yeah with 5 people it could become pricey - there are plenty of places to pregame right outside of OT so hopefully the weather is nice.
Enjoy!

My kid is hoping for the cold and rainy! haha.

Thanks, expecting fun no matter what the weather is.

@B Maverick Let me know when you know what dates you are over for and I can suggest secondary games. Championship-L2 fixtures are out next week. By the looks of things you're here for at least the prior weekend as well, 99% sure I could get you a ticket for our home game vs Brighton

Hey Titus, I definitely plan on making a trip to catch some games. How difficult is it to get tickets a week or two before games. Top 6 or otherwise. How about cup games and Europe?

Entirely depends on who you're wanting to see and how much money you're prepared to throw at it

Worried more about availability and ease of the process for tickets a week or two before. Price is obviously variable.

Seems like a different process than say an NBA game with membership and whatnot.

Thanks! Coming from LA we plan to arrive Friday Feb 16 and fly home the 26 or 27th. Would that be at Sheffield? That would be amazing but there are 5 of us lol.
Appreciate the offer and might follow up. We'll see how tickets go for Burnley v Arsenal.

We were also talking about hitting some supporter pubs during one of their games. May be a Championship side and their local supporters pub....

I'm sure Titus can better answer but from what we have seen:
Not sure how the secondary market works or if there is one, but we have had to get memberships with the club to get tickets. Then had to link all our memberships so I could buy the 5 tickets.
United released tickets to all matches but in limited batches. They will release more over several more occasions. Doesn't appear that Arsenal released any games yet. Burnley released a few games.

Yeah, understandable with UK ticketing differing from US ticketing substantially, but it really does depend hugely. West Ham v Bournemouth on short notice is going to be substantially easier than Spurs v Arsenal. I know it's a bit of a cop out answer but it really is the case - if you're flexible in terms of who you see you can get to see some sort of match

Edit - yeah, the game I mentioned is at Bramall Lane and not the other end of the country. Burnley isn't the largest ground and might be a tricky ask against big opposition, plus there isn't really much to do in the town before/after

Yeah the only reason we are looking at Burnley is one of us is an Arsenal supporter. Trying to get tickets through Arsenal's away side.
If we can not get in there I think we will spend most of the early week as tourists in London (including a tour of the Emirates). We would love to see games in other grounds (with the exception of a few places) but location might play a part if it's not a United or Arsenal match.

Now if you could get us into Luton Town on the 17th :lmao: when they host United you would be my hero. Yes it's v United but I just want to experience that away entrance!!!!

Not a cop out and I appreciate the answer. I’ll dabble online and ask again when I have specific dates ready.

Yeah I can't even get tickets when we play Luton so good luck with that one :ROFLMAO:

My abiding memory would probably be watching Millie working with our u14s one night in March [2023] when we had heavy snow. After the session, he was teaching the boys how to do sit-ups properly as he had noticed a few of them not doing it right.” #LFC
Picturing a band of 13 year olds doing situps in the snow while 37 year old James Milner watches over them and corrects their form by doing a few of his own is the platonic ideal of... something. Maybe many things.

is there a side business arrangement between Chelsea and Saudi Arabia? It seems like every other day they are selling (or rumored to be selling) a player to a Saudi team...

Clearlake has been working its relationships with PIF recently. Honestly a brilliant plan if they can leverage it to offload some of their high-priced deadweight like Lukaku, Ziyech, Koulibaly, Mendy (and possibly Pulisic?) and still get somewhat of a return. The Saudis seem to have a longer term plan than the Chinese league had a few years ago. They are trying to lure big stars with ridiculous offers, but also seem to be pursuing younger players, worker-bee squad players.

Imo, I don't think Saudi has a long term plan. I think everything is being done to secure a WC in the future, I don't think any care is being given to sustaining or improving Saudi football.

I think Ceferin is a slime ball but his words actually ring true here to me for one of the first times ever

UEFA president Ceferin: "(Saudi) transfer strategy is a mistake for Saudi football. They should invest that money in academies, bring coaches and develop their own players... Buying players at the end of their careers is not a system that develops football... Similar mistake in China."

==========

With their endless money they could do both (buy big names and build from the bottom), the way MLS has over the years.

Mentioned this before, but I found looking at different fan sites or subreddits the easiest way to go. Ended up using some Spurs membership card from a guy that had an extra ticket for a good price.

it is going to get awkward when these deals get done before Messi's deal is signed

Interesting since they announced Messi will make his debut on 7.21.

Some reports Di Maria may join too.

They must be ultra close to signing for them to announce a debut date. MLS as a league still has not formally announced him.

Sounds like most items are done accept for Visa's.

looking foward to seeing what new MLS rule book they throw out there that somehow allows all of these guys to join... unless they're playing for MLS regular wages.

It's a little know part of Beckham's contract that not only does he get to own a team, but he gets first shot at Messi and the accompanying MDP spots that come with Messi.

The Miami owner said no new rules are coming, like what happened when Becks came.

Busquets is being signed as a DP so they can pay him what ever they want. They are trying to get Alba on TAM I think (I think that maxes at $2.7m per year)

Auf Wiedersehen Hansi Flick.

I can’t see him surviving this run of matches.
2-3 to Belgium, 3-3 with Ukraine (and a 90+1 pk to get the draw), 0-1 to Poland and 0-2 to Colombia today.

Looks like Miami will miss out on Di Maria...That was probably way too much to hope for if they are going to sign Messi, Busquets and Alba in the same summer

EXCLUSIVE: Benfica are closing in on Ángel Di Maria deal, here we go soon! Negotiations at final stages — just final details are missing to get it sealed and it will happen in the next days if all goes to plan.Contract until June 2024 accepted, waiting to sign.

Chelsea are selling!

Havertz to Arsenal
Koulibaly to Al Hilal
Kovacic to City
Ziyech to Al Nassr
Mendy to Al Ahli

Rejected an offer from United for Mount though.

AUFC hosts Miami September 16th - thinking I should cash in.

I am very interested to see if he plays in the field turf games.

Zlatan, Drogba and many others avoided those games like the plague.

Update - seats listed now in my section for around 1k per seat :lmao: these people are nuts. Think we are offering up our seats for $1,500. If we sell then it will cover about 40% of my season ticket - I’ve sold some other games already so I’ll pay for this season and get about 5-6 games for free. :pickle:

@The Gator can suck it. Messi is the GOAT.

Tickets just sold for $800 each! That’s almost 50% of my season ticket. Unreal.

Kante left on a free and Pulisic will be sold soon. Massive turnover.
Rumors Lukaku might also be off to SA since Inter can't buy him and Chelsea don't want to loan him again.

Pretty soon they'll be down to 3 teams worth of players....

Inter Miami coming up with new and creative ways to clear some roster space :lmao:

A trip to the zoo is generally supposed to be a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, but that was anything but the case for Inter Miami goalkeeper Nick Marsman.

As TMZ Sports noted, Marsman's wife, Nathalie den Dekker, revealed on social media that the goalkeeper was hospitalized for three days after he was bitten by a poisonous spider at the zoo. He has since been released and is recovering at home.

Note to self: don't plan to see Messi in this lifetime.

I'm sure I mentioned this before in this thread, but the only time I saw him play live was along with peak Suarez and Neymar at the Camp Nou for the full 90. Barca didn't score

Obviously I’d love to watch him play but $800 a seat for no guarantee he even plays seems insane to me.

If I'm going to pay anything close to that to see Messi play, its going to be next summer in the Copa, not this summer in an MLS game.

As to the guarantee - yeah, I had some friends who flew out to California to see Argentina - Chile in the first game of the Copa Centenario 2016 and Messi did not play. That was the game when DiMaria scored after learning that his grandmother had just died. Then my son and I were at the second Argentina game - in Chicago against Panama. Messi again didn't start but luckily for us came on just after halftime and scored a hat trick in about 20 minutes. The entire crowd was watching him warm up and there was a massive cheer when he took the bib off.

Seen him twice in the Camp Nou and have season tix in Charlotte. The second time in the Camp Nou was quite expensive due to it being great seats against Espanyol for the last home game. Have a priceless video of him scoring a brilliant free kick then.

There is a price I would move my seats for, but I doubt it will be high enough to make it worth it. Ticketmaster is going to give you a 1099 for anything over $600.
