What a drive!
David Tyree = MVP
Tyree = MVP?
A touchdown doesn't open a new set of downs. I may be wrong, but I doubt it's a first down. You could use the NFL.com boxscore (UTD first down numbers) to cross check the play-by-play.We've gone back and forth on this one. We asked the question before the game, and everyone said that a TD would count. Now, the only guy who said that NYG would have the first first down is now arguing that a TD shouldn't count. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.Pretty sure a TD is not considered a first down (although I could be wrong).Two prop bet questions: 1) Does anyone know if the coin flip was heads or tails? 2) does anyone know who got the first first down of the second quarter? The quarter started with the Patriots inside the ten. Maroney scored a TD early in the second quarter. The Giants then got the ball back, and got a first down. Does the TD count as a first down? Or did the Gians get the first one?
If the Giants do win this I'm not so sure if the Giants defensive cooridinator shouldn't be MVP.
Regardless of what happens, outstanding gameplanjust 3 pointsfor this game 3 points is toughfor the season, no sweatsick to my stomach!![]()
I don't think it's a first down either but if everyone agreed before the game that a TD would count then obviously it should count.A touchdown doesn't open a new set of downs. see, i want to agree w/ you but i watched my vikings obliterate these guys. i mean it wasn't even close. really, we're seeing a decent team click at exactly the right time.Regardless of the outcome of this game, or the recent controversy around the Patriots, I think we can all agree that the Giants not only were the best team in the NFC and belong in this Superbowl, but are one of the two best teams in the NFL. Another Patriots Superbowl, another nailbiter.
hard to ignore this reasoning. brady in the 4th is deadly.Only a matter of time before the Patriots score again. Enjoy it now Giants fans.
TD isn't a first down, it's a score. There's no further the drive can go.if ya read old books it's two words back thenfirst down second downtouch downetcA touchdown doesn't open a new set of downs. I may be wrong, but I doubt it's a first down. You could use the NFL.com boxscore (UTD first down numbers) to cross check the play-by-play.We've gone back and forth on this one. In the regular season, the Giants were average at best. Greatness in the playoffs doesn't not erase that fact.Regardless of the outcome of this game, or the recent controversy around the Patriots, I think we can all agree that the Giants not only were the best team in the NFC and belong in this Superbowl, but are one of the two best teams in the NFL.
