LMAO @ Belichick at the end of the game. What a ####.
What happened?I'm not getting the full coverage here in Australia (breaking for local ads every freaking 10 seconds)
Belichick ran down the tunnel with two seconds left rather than shake hands with Coughlin at the end of the game.
That is absolutely not true. Were you watching the game? They shook hands at midfield immediately after the missed catch. The game was over.
You stay on the field until the clock hits 0:00. He still had players out there.Classless.
He did stay until 0:00. He and Coughlin shook hands and Belichick said 'congratulations'. You can't seriously be this desperate to find something hate, can you?
He ran off before the last play.
 He still had players out there. Classless. At least the players that stayed have more class than their coach.

thank you Giants. us fins fans at least have a reason for the Welker trade to not sting quite so much. plus we keep the solo perfect season.

Hey folks, Belichek ran out, congratualted him and gave him a hug. Everyone thought the game was over, they had to clear the field for the last play.BB did the right thing
No, you stay on the field until the last play of the game and take it like a man. He ran off because he didn't want to be on the filed when the celebration started. Guess what, that's what you have to deal with when you are the loser!
the celebration did start, hence...they had to clear the field
They still snapped the last play of the game, no?
He was there for the last snap, and then left. What do you want him to do, join the celebration?

The ref was talking with him as he ran up to Coughlin. He knew exactly what he was doing, he just wanted to get out of there.

How is that a catch?
Did that even get reviewed?
Yesno?
Wasn't reviewed because it was a clear catch
That's odd, because the replay I saw showed him taking a hand off the ball and the tip of it hitting the ground. :shrug:The most important play in NFL history doesn't even merit a cursory look? The league should be ####### ashamed of themselves for that.
The helmet catch? The ball never touched the ground. Not at all.

Real classy jogging out with 1 second left, completely ignoring the Ref trying to tell you there's time left and to go back to your sideline, and then "taking your ball and going home."

Classless buttclown.

I really look forward to the fury coming down on the first person trying to defend this cacksmoker now.

Belichick ran onto the field, pushed security out of the way and hugged and congratulated Coughlin. He (and just about everyone else) thought the game was over. Talk about making something out of nothing.
Somehow Coughlin managed to be on the field for the last play.

It didn't hit the ground, though I could see it being reviewed. Didn't change the outcome given that it was a catch, so I'm not going to bother arguing about it.

Dude, the Ref told him and he didn't even care. He knew.

What a game. Eli Manning became a man tonight in the NFL. Not many thought they could do it, but they did, they slayed the dragon. Congratulations to the Giants and the City of New York. NFC fans, I guess our conference isn't so bad after all!!!

Right except for the game being over part. Mike Carey obviously told Belichick that the game wasn't over, but he decided to leave anyway.

He walked out the tunnel knowing full well the game wasn't over. It's possible he didn't know before trying to get to Coughlin, but there is no way noone told him before he got to the tunnel.

I bolded the part you missed, hope this helps
That's the whole point that you obviously missed. Like I said, most coaches take it like man. Not so much for Bill.

How's the studio Tiki? Speak up ....can't hear you. #####

It's nice of ex-Giant TE Jeremy Shockey to make the trip to take in the game.

The bottom line is that the New England Patriots Head Coach, Mr. Bill Belichick, was not on the field for the final play. He did not ceremoniously shake the hand of the competing head coach once the horns sounded and the game was over. He also blatantly ignored the head official and then continued to trot towards the tunnel.

Is this classy. It is what it is to the eye of the beholder.

Wow. Just Wow. Best Super Bowl in the past 10 years. This is/was what we hope for when we watch an NFL game.

Nice job Eli. Out of Peyton's shadow...

Exactly. He completely ignored Carey. What a tool. The man's legacy grows.

Exactly. He didn't have the balls to wait until the game was over.

Bill Belichick...way to stay classy
He should be fined for leaving early.
mehmuch to do about nothin'refs and security had trouble getting everyone(not just BB) off the field to begin with. Didn't see Coughlin turning him away.nothing
No. It's a pathetic lack of sportsmanship.
for everyone though, he wasn't the only oneIIRC the announcers commented that they didn't even see many defensive players for the PatsDoes Coughlin get fined for walking on the field in the middle of a game and meeting him?I don't see this as one of BBs displays of a lack of sportsmanship. He hugged his buddy Tom. This was no Mangini whine session

LOL...I can't believe on a night when the Giants pulled off the (near) impossible, people on this board are fixating on something to hate Belichick for; it's kind of ridiculous.

Down Goes Frazier! Down Goes Frazier! Down Goes Frazier!

I've always wanted a good reason to use that.

I guarantee you that Bill has punted on some household pets at least once or twice in his life. He is such a miserable ####.
