Get a grip. Many us are fans of The Who; it is just painful to see an old band like this sounding really old.Best SB performance in a while. As usual the haters are out in full force.![]()

Pretty sure they rested him for two weeks after an obvious injury in the AFCCG with hopes he'd play like he has so far. If the Saints didn't prepare for him to be great, that's their fault. It's pretty safe to say that Freeney wasn't really injured.

"You Really Got Me" is a rock song written by Ray Davies and performed by his band, The Kinks.
This will never happen. The PoliceRadiohead.who do you have in mind that should be playing tonight that hasn't done the SUper Bowl already.
Those are the first two hugely popular bands that came to mind.
Nothing like a little avant garde electropop to get the crowd goingRadiohead
About time for REM, no?The PoliceRadioheadThose are the first two hugely popular bands that came to mind..who do you have in mind that should be playing tonight that hasn't done the SUper Bowl already.
I don't think so. He doesn't sound that different than he did years ago.But I agree w/ Daltrey is done.
turn in your rock music card.HTH.This is the WHO?! I thought they were some country singers.or they'll do 45 seconds of like 10 different Who songs...
this.He is getting better....terrible start.I like The Who a lot, but this is embarrassing. Daltrey has no voice left.
Maybe he's just out of practice. It has gotten a little bit better in the last minute.I'm enjoying the performance. Love The Who.Best SB performance in a while. As usual the haters are out in full force.![]()
Pregame to XL with Motown theme was best in the past ten years IMO. This is good though.Best SB performance in a while. As usual the haters are out in full force.![]()
To those bashing The Who, what are you measuring them to? The guys are 60+, playing live in fornt of millions of people...who do you have in mind that should be playing tonight that hasn't done the SUper Bowl already. I agree the music is just alright, I'm not an over the top Who guy but I like some of their songs and I don't think they sound nearly as bad as some of you are carrying on about. Anyone seen the SNL guests each week? They bring in some of the younger bands or groups and many times they bomb live.

The Police don't play together too often, last tour was purely for them to cash in after missing out on a lot over the years. And Radiohead is absolutely one of my favortie but I don't think the Super Bowl and a football stadium is really the right venue for them but that's me. I'm not sure they are as popular as you and I would liek to think...they still don't appeal to everyone. The PoliceRadioheadThose are the first two hugely popular bands that came to mind..who do you have in mind that should be playing tonight that hasn't done the SUper Bowl already.
Probably not, but they have enough rocking and well-known songs to where they could do a halftime show and get a huge reaction. Not sure if they would actually do it, though. This will never happen. The PoliceRadiohead.who do you have in mind that should be playing tonight that hasn't done the SUper Bowl already.

True, in regards to The Police, but I am sure they would take the cash grab and do a great job if they did a SB halftime show. Radiohead could easily do a set of "Paranoid Android," "Fake Plastic Trees" and "Creep" and get a big reaction. I am not suggesting they come out and give the millions watching "Pyramid Song" and "How to Disappear Completely."The Police don't play together too often, last tour was purely for them to cash in after missing out on a lot over the years. Yea, they covered every base. It was ok. Predictable and safe. Just what they wanted.LOL - he'd be just the guy to do that.Btw, that's 3 CSI songs so far, right?I'd love to see them book Neil Young, and have him say "forget the greatest hits medley.... here's 12 minutes of Down by the River"
I want to see Justin Timberlake.Senior Citizen Wasteland
Ah, that is a good pick, too. They could do a set of "The Pretender," "Monkey Wrench" and "My Hero" and tear the place down.Foo Fighters will get this gig before some of the other bands mentioned
That would be awesome.Well that was adequateFoo Fighters will get this gig before some of the other bands mentioned
So true, but I am not sure they are popular enough here in the States yet. They are getting there, though.Muse would be perfect for a halftime show.most of their stuff is awesome live.
That would be so much win.Lemme suggest Spinal Tap for a next year's halftime; alternate suggestion, Reverend Horton Heat.
LOL - fine I'll go to allmusic...See Last Song on list-QGFrom the wiki page.performed by his band, The Who.
JimNorton I'm just glad a picture of Dakota Fanning didn't tumble out of Pete Townsend's pocket.
Saw him sing it last year and he did it great. They were probably keeping with more energized songs for the Super Bowl.guess Roger can't pull off Behind Blue Eyes anymore
Bands cover each other all the time.LOL - fine I'll go to allmusic...See Last Song on list-QGFrom the wiki page.performed by his band, The Who.
