I was really trying to like this show, but this last episode lost me. There can only be so many "Kevin Bacon + one other person infiltrating the bad guy lair instead of Kevin Bacon plus a SWAT team" moments. I'm sick of the babysitter that looks like a 10 year old boy. I'm sick of the FBI lady who's useless. "Okay, you go in there all alone against 8 people, I'll stand out here in deep thought while multiple gun shots go off, not disabling their getaway van, or anything like that. Just standing here." "I've spent years planning this intricate multi-layer plan so that I can be out of prison, and with my family, but I'm gonna go ahead and just bang this annoying 10 year old boy looking chick." "He came really close to killing me just now...........and I'm still turned on." It's just ridiculous.
Funny thing is that I didn't dislike this last episode as much as the last couple. I agree, however, that they go and have that pretty decent fight scene and instead of just having Hardy and the FBI lady get there as the bad guys are leaving (they could kill the same amount of red shirt bad guys), which would be believable, they do the silliness we saw. The FBI lady is 50 feet from the getaway car and instead of staking it out and killing all the bad guys, she is somewhere not close enough to back Hardy up and not close enough to see/stop anyone from getting away.I would have been OK with the sex and choke/sex and the plastic love kill if they hadn't botched yet another FBI attempt to get the bad guys. Also, gotta love that Roderick a small town sheriff is able to know everything about every FBI agent there is. I am assuming he had to get details on every single FBI agent not knowing exactly who would be assisting Hardy. There are only 3 things that have really bothered me, the lawyer's actions, the ridiculous ineffectiveness of every FBI assault/perimeter/etc. and the cult's ability to anticipate every single possible action by the FBI. We got rid of the lawyer, so let's see the FBI actually do something well and the cult make a mistake in anticipating moves.
