I just assumed that the zombies are thicker in a particular area, and the scouts from Woodbury know that because they know the countryside.Although if they knew the countryside that well, and Michonne was able to stumble upon the prison by pure luck after starting at a store that must have been near Woodbury, they should have found and colonized the prison while Rick's group was out looking for Sophia.No.Was there an explanation of what exactly the "red zone" was?
Don't open unless you've read the comics:
Yes, Daryl dies in the season finale while saving Rick's group. I found spoilers online.
Um, I don't think Merl and Daryl are characters in the comics at all. Maybe you should just say don't open unless you're okay with spoilers?Don't open unless you've read the comics:

they aren't. at least not through issue #103They went out of their way to have Glenn and Maggie discuss how the prison was just up the road. Michonne saw them arrive, so she knew which direction to head.Merle was looking for a car to drive to Woodbury. For those who were totally sober while watching last night's episode, did they explain how Michonne managed to find the prison? Or why Merle showed up at the grocery store a few minutes after saying he was going back to Woodbury? It seemed like the writers were lazier than usual last night, but maybe I wasn't paying attention very well.

You've got it backwards. Lori being alive was totally confirmed. If she's dead how can she be on the phone?Spoiler, while a spoiler, has nothing to do with the comics.Don't open unless you've read the comics:

I haven't read the comics, so can anyone confirm if I'm remembering this spoiler which I think I read in here correctly or not:
I think someone posted that in the comic the Gov rapes and tortures Michonne or some other girl?
They did this in season one didn't they? Rick, Glen, and Daryl (I think) hacked up a walker and walked through a group of walkers until a thunderstorm hit, washed the decayed meat off of them, and they had to climb a fence to get awayVERYIt amazes me how every week they make Andria's character even worse. She was so good in the comic...
The way they tied the two groups together was great, especially with Michonne, gonna be a good episode next week.on both points. When Andrea and the Gov went to his room and started yapping, I switched to the game and Amazing Race and kept checking back until the scene was over..
Loved the way Microne found out that if you stink like one, they leave you alone.. and Rickslook seeing her standing next to the Zombies was great.

Just cut all the rest of it and show Maggie walking around sweaty and killing zombies, please.![]()
She's seriously hot. Thought it was a solid episode. It's clear they're trying to put all the pieces in place for the inevitable Rick-Phil showdown. I'm getting antsy for it to occur now that Michonne has finally hooked up with the prison survivors. I want to see Rick, Daryl and Michonne in full-out kill mode.Exactly.Answered tonight..

they did.. But I just liked how she accidentally stumbled upon that after gutting the zombie who was trying to take her out. Nah...Darryl will have to choose between his brother and Rick...he kills his own brother.i think that was the point. it was showing that Glen is not at the level of some of these other guys who can kill another human in cold blood. and i think we have to see some people die with the finale, and i won0der if darryl may bite it. they have taken his character far, and it seems Rick and him are going to get Glenn and Maggie. i can see something where darryl has to choose between Rick and the governor's group, and Darryl ends up sacrificing himself to help Rick's group out. i know they played that card already with T-dogg, but it seems like a natural progression for himAgreed, solid episode and looking forward to the next few weeks. Didn't need the flirting, was so uncomfortable to watch. Wasn't real fond of Merle pulling the gun on Maggie and Glen either. I know it was a means to an end, but neither of them shoots when they already have their guns drawn? Merle may be fast, but based on what had happened before, Glen should have shot first.Yeah, the Gov and Andrea flirting :X , other than that pretty good episodeIt amazes me how every week they make Andria's character even worse. No kidding."Rick? Where were you?""I was clearing out the bodies in the block. Then I took a shower and hit the mall."Did Rick make a quick run to Abercrombie and Fitch on his way back from the boiler room?![]()
WHAT THE HELL MAN?! Are you serious with this crap?!No, he had very good reasons to not trust Merle and it wasn't in cold blood. But even still, his darling wifey can be just as cold blooded as necessary, knew that Glenn thought he was a threat and probably knew a little about him from storytime. No way she doesn't fire on him at the first hint of a threat. Hopefully they have more in store for Daryl. He's long been creeping up as the pragmatist with a conscience. He'll save the group no doubt, but my guess is by either killing his brother or leaving him to the zombies. Should be interesting to see how the Governor responds when Michonne shows up with Rick.Merle's days are numbered. Whether it be Michonne, Rick, Daryl or the Gov (who won't be too pleased when he finds out Merle lied about Michonne being dead) I don't think Merle makes it past the mid-season break.
Not sure if this was mentioned but I thought it was very cool that the voices Rick was talking to on the phone were many of the cast members who have been killed. Not just Lori, but Amy, Jim and Jacqui. Andrew Lincoln said on "The Talking Dead" that all of the actors who played those characters actually called him on phones for the scenes so he was directly talking to them. Very cool.
was still trying to figure out who the other voices were before Lori broke in.We all know Carl is stupid. He could have closed his eyes and fired into the floor for all we know.I was talking about Carl confirming to Darryl that he shot his mother in her head."She was out but hadn't turned yet, so I shot her in the head".Answered tonight..

either way the disembowelment and gut splattering scene was worth it. The Daryl-Carl scene was great. Daryl's trying to reach out to Carl and bond with him by telling him how his mother died in a fire she caused. Carl's all blank face and basically tells him "F that, I had to shoot my own mother in the head. Top that."
Loved Daryl's
/
reaction.. "Yea, well you have me there"...
Maggie mentioned something about walkers along the fences so there were clues. Rick must have really good eyesight, because he was a good distance away when he seemed to notice Michonne. I suppose they'd say either the red from the basket or the silhouette of a human shape carrying something got his attention. They went out of their way to have Glenn and Maggie discuss how the prison was just up the road. I think she likes people, just cautious. But something about Woodbury didn't feel right and she wanted to get out ASAP. If she didn't like people she wouldn't have bothered to find the people at the prison. Sure she's hurt but it doesn't seem bad enough that she couldn't take care of it herself. Unless the bullet is still in her leg. I thought it just skimmed her. I see Michonne as a modern day Lancelot or the lone gunman characters Clint Eastwood used to play.So does Michonne dislike all people, or just the Woodbury people?
Probably wandered for 9 months. For those who were totally sober while watching last night's episode, did they explain how Michonne managed to find the prison? It seemed like the writers were lazier than usual last night, but maybe I wasn't paying attention very well.
Thanks. I missed both of these, although I have to admit that I'm not clear on why Merle needed a car to get back when he had tracked Michonne from Woodbury on foot. They went out of their way to have Glenn and Maggie discuss how the prison was just up the road. Difference is she knows it's there from Glenn & Maggie's conversation and that there are people there. Rick's people didn't know there was a prison there and the movement of the zombie herd seems to have dictated where they went. Sounds like the prison is in the are the Woodbury people call the "Red Zone", and don't go there, too many biters.Like Michonne could find the prison when Rick & the crew were circling it for 9 months and didn't even know it was there.

They must have tracked Michonne pretty far away. In the woods before killing the Hispanic guy, Merle said they needed to find a car to get back. They aren't in the comics, but I've read they are being added to them due to how popular they are on the show. "Daryl Dixon is a fictional character from the American television series The Walking Dead portrayed by Norman Reedus. He is an original character and has no comic counterpart. He has become immensely popular since his first appearance, and as such, is being brought into the comic series.[1][2]"Not about the comics bit.
