***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (3 Viewers)

I am trying to reconstruct who is splintered off with whom from the end of the last episode

*Glenn is in the bus with Woodberry survivors (anyone else of note?)

*Rick and Carl walking away from prison

*Tyrese and kids back in the prison

*Bob Stookey and Sasha

*Beth and Daryl

Is MIchonne with Stookey and Sasha?

And where did Maggie end up? I don't remember her getting back on the bus.

Anyone else I am forgetting not including Carol?
Go to youtube and watch all the previews. Definitely saw Beth and Daryl, Carl and Rick, but Glenn looked to be alone. It almost looked like maybe he is still at the prison, kind of a weird scene and hard to tell. I think I remember Bob and Sasha, but not sure. Also, Michonne looked to be alone. I'm just going off of memory, but it seemed like they showed us most of the groupings.
Beth was always going to be with Rick. :chub:

interesting, I could have sworn Glenn was on the bus barely able to move. Thanks
:goodposting: at least that's what I recall.. No one is left at the prison, Rick and Carl were the "last ones standing"... Michonnne vanished after saving Rick, so is presumably on her own.

I think the last we saw of Tyrese was running back into the prison with the little kids. I do not believe they showed them leaving but maybe I am forgetting something.

You are correct that he was supposed to be on the bus. There is a preview with him on a cement overhang with a gun and zombies below him. He was waking up, which led me to think that maybe he got off the bus to get Maggie and got stuck at the prison, passed out and woke up to the herd below. I could be completely wrong as he could be anywhere in that picture, but the cement façade everywhere made me think of that.

Only 3 weeks from Sunday. I'm really pumped. Being on the run makes it more exciting. It sure made me like the Governor a lot more. I couldn't stand the character and in one crossover move, he grew on me.

True, they came from inside and they could have easily just gone into another building.

Almost done reading the second compendium. I wonder how close it will be with the show? Loved how first book and winter finale ended same way.

probably the same. Some characters and locations will be brought in from the comics, but how they will be used will be slightly different.

The second compendium ends at issue 96 if memory serves. All hell breaks loose after that in the build to issue 100. They are on issue 118 now I believe.

Plenty of material still to draw from. As you said, the winter finale is pretty much issue 48.

All Hell broke where I stopped reading last night. I wonder if they would be allowed to go there with Carl. Sorry don't want to say more as I respect not giving spoilers away.

My wife just started watching this so ive been rewatching seasons 1 and 2 with her. I gotta say, the rewatchability of this show is great and i think i enjoyed watching it even more the second time. Shanes acting was pretty good and sorely missed. I didnt realize that the first time thru. And knowing who died already made the show more interesting imo. Lori and dale didnt annoy me as much knowing they bit it and i appreciated shane more. Also love Daryl one liners. I have no desire to rewatch season 3. The governor and andrea really ruined that season.

I did rewatch the episode in season 3 when lori bit it and i gotta say ricks reaction at the end was gut wrenching. I dont think hes a good actor but that part was phenomenal. I even shed a tear (but then again ive become a baby since having a child).

Watching the WALKING DEAD marathon...just finished the episode where the DENVER BRONCOS turned into ZOMBIES during the SUPERBOWL and the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS killed them all

I was thinking last night while watching the replays that Shane would have been a perfect guy to have been the governors enforcer, side by side with Merle. Two guys who would do anything needed to survive.

The video posted today at AMC.. SPOILER ALERT... "Walking dead returns" Definitely has me :excited: for the return..
I watched this last night. Looks decent, but I hope that there isn't too much emotion, i.e. Rick crying himself to sleep. It looks promising and I hope the tempo picks up nicely. Looking forward to Sunday night.
well I hope it isn't all hype.. But after reading this from "Daryl":

EW: We’re going to have more individual or smaller group stories as opposed to seeing everyone as one big group. Is that a nice change of pace?

REEDUS: It’s different. I will say that the back eight are in my opinion are our best eight episodes yet. The storylines, the acting, and the directing, and the writing are top of our food chain. I’m so excited for people to see these episodes. You get an understanding of why certain characters are who they are, why they fight for what they fight for, or why they don’t fight. You really get an in-depth look at characters like you’ve never seen before.
and this from "Rick":

ANDREW LINCOLN: I’m really excited about the back 8 episodes. I think there’s a different tone to the back 8, and I think you’re going to see a lot of characters that you haven’t seen under the microscope as much all have their chance to shine. And people are putting in some tremendous performances. I think there were three scripts that were some of my favorite that I’ve ever done in the back 8.
I'm :excited: and getting the  ready.

Just watched this preview...looks dark and deadly...love it...and love the chick corpse hanging on the wall with a sign on her that says RICH ##### (and no sign of the baby  )

I was not a big fan of Shane. However if Rick becomes crying sissy Rick we might need some more macho.

After getting thru the first 96 episodes of the comic; a realization is setting in that the television show is much better than the comic book. Yes, the television show stands on its shoulders.....but it is better in just about every way.

Watched a few of the episodes with the Governor in Woodbury, around when Merle and Daryl were forced to fight, and when he first attacked the prison. I forgot or maybe didn't realize how cringe worthy they made his character. Terrible lines, super cheesy. Standing in the middle of the field as bullets are flying around him. It was really corny.

Such a great premise for a show and can be so entertaining. Hopefully they ramp it back up for the last half of this season.

governor was by far the worst thing about this series. Just an awful character.

The demonstrations of his total disregard for his own life and others was designed to show the viewers what a lunatic he was. Now if you want to bring up the argument that every person on the show is a sharpshooter when aiming at walkers and can't hit the side of a barn when shooting at living people...well sign me up for that.

I get that they wanted to make him a lunatic, it was just done in such a cheesy way. Didn't remember it being that way watching it live.

Here was my issue with it. He is a lunatic, fine. He hid it in Woodbury except for you know the live zombie/people deathmatches.

But how does a lunatic get into a camp knock off a couple of guys and then convince a whole nother group of folks to get in a life and death gun battle?
