I think it took Lost at least 3 seasons before the real complainers showed their stuff.
Well, the first two or three seasons were really good.
I thought it kind of stunk from the beginning.
I watched the first season on DVD - thought it was interesting. Then they found the underground stuff at the start of season 2 -that was when I quit watching because I found it too far fetched.
I feel like I missed an episode or two. You talking about the CDC? That was the end of season 1, wasn't it?
Think he's talking about LOST.
:goodposting: Correct Sir!!

Never watched it. Oh and I obviously didn't look at the quotes he was replying to.

It sucked the life out of the last couple Lost threads.
Now I get it.
:lmao: You must love the Internet, allowing yourself to look better in your own opinion.
How does this work? I'm posting anonymously. Do you think I print out my posts to show people in real life? And stop lashing out at me just because you have really questionable taste in TV shows. It's not going to help you get better.
:lmao: No, you missed my point, you probably wouldn't have anyone to show the posts. You feel more powerful being anonymous. You lashed out at me first trying to insinuate that you know me and why I like certain shows and you lashed out again. My life is great and I enjoy not being like you. Anyone who has to try and prove they are better than other people on a message board is most likely the one with issues. Adios muchacho.
Sorry if I touched a nerve. Really. I know there are a lot of people that need to use television as an escape mechanism. I get it. Sometimes life in general can be a huge drag. Your job is terrible, your wife is horrid, things didn't turn out the way they wanted to. I know that happens to some people and they turn to things like TV and movies to escape. I'm not judging you, bro. Keep enjoying TWD. You deserve it.
:lmao: Just like I said, flexing your Internet muscles. Really sad. Pretty typical of the trolls in here. I will keep enjoying TWD and you keep up your awesome posting.
Like I said before...sorry if I touched a nerve.
:lmao: You didn't, no need for you to worry anymore. Keep on keepin' on.

Awesome show. Best thing on TV now.
Prime rib recipe:Ingredients 1 (10 pound) prime rib roast 6 cloves garlic, sliced salt and ground black pepper to taste 1/2 cup Dijon mustardDirections Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). Make slits all over the roast by pricking with a small knife. Insert slivers of sliced garlic. Season the roast with salt and pepper, then spread generously with mustard. Place on a rack in a roasting pan, and cover. Roast for 60 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn off oven. Leave oven closed, and do not peek for 90 minutes. The internal temperature of the meat should be at least 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium-rare, or 155 degrees F (68 degrees C) for medium.

Almost as good as the source material...which was the greatest graphic novel ever.

I thought the deer shot him. And why didn't the kid shoot back with the BAR he was carrying?

So I watched the scene where the heard of zombies show up. Those complaining that the came out of nowhere should watch again. Pay attention to the landscape. There are big embankments on both sides of the freeway that lead into thick dense trees. It's easy to see from the scene that the heard is coming from the other side of the freeway from behind an overturned semi.

Clearly, the cars and hog drew the heard up the embankment and onto the freeway. They didn't pass them when getting to that location, so they had to come from the woods. The overturned semi did a nice job covering them. Also, the old dude look out was watching far more to see what was ahead of them and not what was behind them since they just came from that location.

It's completely plausible.

This is a disappointing prime rib recipe. Which is a shame, because I really had high hopes for this recipe. But it seems like it can't make up it's mind about what type of prime rib it wants to be. I could handle a prime rib recipe that was simply about roasted meat. That's a perfectly valid approach. And I don't object to a more sophisticated prime rib recipe. But this is a recipe with sophisticated pretentions that just don't work. C'mon. Garlic and mustard? You call that seasoning? There was talk that this recipe had improved from last year, but I've got to say, it still feels lifeless to me. I'll probably cook it next week, but i doubt I'll enjoy it.

I still dont get the whole "dont shot guns because others may hear so I am going to be super duper crazy and hit one with a rock and the blood will splash on me" theory.

I understand its just a TV show but I think they are being lazy with the writing. Also do you think it would kill Rick and the others to put on some fresh clothes every so often. I mean we get it Rick, you are a cop.

If only the show was about people who smoke all the time, and try to sleep with each other. Every episode. Then it would be really good.

Well, in the world of the show, they established that simply being covered in the blood doesn't infect you. They all covered themselves in zombie gore in Season 1. I've got no issue with that.

boy, you guys are getting all of them. i mean sure, let's say i wake up from a coma after getting shot, and see zombies have taken over the world. after walking umpteem miles, sleeping a few hours here or there, killing a ton of zombies and watching people i'm with die, no doubt the first thing on my mind would be to change my clothes..

Yes it has to get in an opening like mouth or eyes, not just touch the skin.I wonder if you could get infected humping a zombie. Also would Rick have to arrest you for it? What charge?

I don't think it's lazy writing, I think it's lazy watching. You aren't qualified to watch the show, so your license has been revoked. Thank you, come again.

Why did the old dude give the blond chick a screwdriver? Doesn't he know she could have stabbed herself with it?

What was the kid going to do with/to the deer, anyway? Walk up to it and hack it with his mini scythe? The thing was either going to run away or trample him as soon as he took a swing at it.
 Did you miss the pistol in his hand?
Guess so. Last I recall, he was carrying one of the weapons from the stash he got off the dead guy in the car. But if he had a pistol, why didn't he just shoot it instead of risking it running away by invading its personal space? And why would they want him to shoot it, didn't they tell someone else not to shoot because it could attract another herd?
Seeing "Food" got all 3 :excited: and the "rules of the road" seemed to disappear.. Shane was about to shoot it when Dad pointed out the Kid grabbing his pistol and tapped Shane on the Shoulder to wait.
:lmao: WTF? The kid didnt have a pistol
My Bad.. When watching it on T.V. In this clip, he seemed to reach into his pocket for something and I assumed it was a gun.. re-watching it now, it looks like he was just moving his jacket out of the way to get to his knife. So I guess Dad & Shane thought he could just walk up and stab it.. Imagine the :argue: in this thread had they let it play out that way. ;)
:lmao: knife? wtf show are u watching?

The sound effects on these type of attacks were laughably over the top. Also, for the bulk of these zombies would blood even splatter? I say no.

Way too many people take TV way too seriously. If it doesn't entertain you, don't watch. I think people's expectations might have been a bit high as well. I'm enjoying this season so far, and thought last season was a lot of fun as well.
Now imagine some of us like the show or at least the premise, but would like it to be better. Is that so bad?
Apparently it is.
I'm all for discussion of the show, and it's merits, but its TV and it's a zombie show. But then, I'm not much of a critic when it comes to TV shows, if they stop entertaining me, I stop watching cause I already watch too much as it is.

:goodposting: Life is too short to waste it watching a show I don't like just so I can go and waste more time posting in a thread about a show I don't like. Then again, I do have a life away from the internet and T.V.

Is the thread improving by repeating this over and over? Nobody cares if you have a life or not. Nobody cares about your philosophy on which tv shows you watch. The whining about the alleged whining in this thread is becoming way worse than anything else. The people complaining are referring to specific aspects of the show, at least. Most of the people criticizing the show in here like it enough to watch but are bothered by certain elements of the show. If you won't want to see any complaints you're not going to get your wish. Clogging up the thread with ten threads of your life away from the internet and how foolish people are for their tv habits is pointless. Nobody cares.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program..

Interested in finding out who the shooter was.. someone from the group, someone surviving on their own.. or maybe another group?

Also, If Shane and Andrea take off, where they head off to..

Maybe their story arc takes us back to Morgan and his son and their survival.

ETA: watched this clip on what lies ahead and the Actor portraying Shane mentions "Carl getting shot and his heart is "re-awakened" " leads me to believe he may not take off from the group.

If he decides not to, it should be interesting to see Andrea's reaction.

According to the source material, it was Otis from Herschel's Farm who shot him.
I don't think Shane and Andrea are going to take off anytime soon. They also seem intent on playing up the love triangle more.

I agree.. bringing Andrea into the "secret" seems to be setting up some dramatic altercation. Reading between the lines of those that read the comics (Never read them myself) Shane's part was was suppose to be a short part.

But they've spent a good deal of time building up the story line between Shane, Rick & Lori that I think they will deviate a bit from the original story arc in regards to his character.

They've already deviated by quite a bit with Shane. He never made it beyond the camp in Atlanta in the comic. Anything after that is purely TV only. Hell, by the last season of the show he could be the only person alive for all we know at this point.

What happens in writing seems to always be a disappointment when brought to the screen.

I own most novels written by Dean Koontz, but I have yet to enjoy any of the screen adaptions of his novels. Same with Dan Brown's Novels :kicksrock:

They showed a "this season on The Walking Dead" preview for everyone, right? It was shots from a bunch of upcoming episodes. Carl was in many of them, sometimes with his current hair... sometimes with a buzzcut. He's not going anywhere.

Oops. I got the names mixed up. I meant Shane.

I wish this show was on Tuesdays as after a day of football, I am too tired, sadly, to watch TV. I end up DVRing it but it's not the same.
