Also, as someone already mentioned, Shane was seen stashing/hiding stuff in the trunk of the car. He may be thinking of breaking away from the group very soon.

Watch the season 2 trailer...shane is running from what looks like a 100 zombies while carrying a duffel bag .

I asked about this scene many pages ago because it was in the trailer but we haven't seen it yet. That was pre-buzz cut for Shane, though. But maybe it's a scene planned for the season, put on hold and will be put back into one of the last two episodes.

It wasn't from when he and Otis were at the school was it?
Nope. Here's the Season 2 trailer which starts with Shane running from zombies.Link

well unless he grows all his hair back it has to be just a promo for the show that has nothing to do with actual events.

That's what I am thinking. Just a promo.

I don't mind that there's not always zombie killings, or not always lots of action. I get that it's not a Zombie show. But I still felt the episode last night was weak. First of all, the kid playing Carl is a bad actor. So any scenes with him will turn me off. Likewise with Carol. I understand the scene between Herschel and Glen and why they did it, but it just felt forced. I didn't understand why Dale would suddenly feel that he needed to go for a walk in the field - I know he wanted to "get away", but why not go in the trailer?

Anyway, the show is all kinds of awesome, but last night was not a good episode IMO.

Odd that I have wanted Dale gone for most of the season, then it happens and I feel disappointed. Probably due to his impassioned speech before heading out on his casual stroll in the field.

It's interesting, though, that of all the scenes in the trailer that's the one that was cut from an episode. That's what I was asking about several pages back - just wondering if anyone had heard why it was cut.

Be interesting if they kill off Carl. Perhaps Lori blames Rick. She's carrying Shane's baby and now she agrees with his survive at all costs mentality. She leaves Rick for Shane.

Not unusual for a show to make a character a bit annoying before they kill them off. Softens the blow.

I was looking for the trailer that has Daryl Riding his bike at nite thru a hord of zombies in a wooded area...looked like where he camps on the farm, cant find it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OZ0mu8Ey6AYeah he doesn't have a shaved head at that time. There's also a part where he has hair and he's at a brick building that I didn't recognize. Hard to imagine enough time would pass in the remaining episodes for him to grow his hair back.

His shirt looks like a sheriff's uniform without the patches. I'm guessing promo or flashback.

One of the major complaints this week is Carl wandering off. IMO it goes back to being complacent.. In the Months that they have been at the Farm not one Walker has wandered in.. and the only time any one has gotten injured or died was when they left the farm. They've started to feel isolated and safe at the Farm.
:goodposting: That's why most of them don't want to leave the farm. They feel safe and secure there. It's likely just a matter of time before that idea goes to hell. At some point, walkers, Randall's buddies or both need to invade the place. It makes sense dramatically if nothing else. You can't create an unsafe world and then find a place that's going to remain completely safe. Last night's walker attacking Dale was almost certainly a foreshadowing to more headed their way.
There was a reference to the cows breaking down a part of the fence, if I'm recalling right.
 Herschel was herding the Steer back..
Here's my beef with this episode: if it's going to be a "lean winter" and better rationing is needed, why doesn't every able-bodied person on the farm help the old man find his dozen cattle? That's a lot of hamburgers on the loose.

Probably didn't go to the trailer because the others would probably go over to the campsite since most aren't sleeping in the house. Looked like he wanted to be alone. Dale and Carl going off alone is representative of the false sense of security they feel. He was also in a fenced in area so he wasn't thinking zombies, Herschel should have fixed the hole. He was preoccupied with the argument so he was even less aware of his surroundings.

TV kids are generally a poor viewing bet, or at least until the little girls start getting their boobies. Their acting skills are by nature not as developed and the plotlines have to be somewhat less interesting because, well, they're kids. I would like Carl's character to recede into the background a little; any kids around should just be brought out occasionally to be chased or skeered by zombies for a couple of minutes, then sent back out to feed the chickens or whatever farm kids do.

Oh, you're right. In the scene where Rick says "To hell with the noise." We haven't seen that scene yet? Looks like he's wearing the same shirt as he is in the opening sequence with the zombie horde.

I felt exactly the same. Most of the year, I was like, "somebody eat that beady-eyed old whiner, already" and then I felt guilty when it actually happened, especially him laying there eviscerated like that.

When Darabont was fired, he was in the process of fixing 'unusable footage that a director turned in.' Perform a Google search using terms like 'Darabont fired unusable footage' and you will be able to find the press releases.Second, it was also admitted that the premiere episode was actually two episodes merged into one and that some of the scenes were deleted. From what I understand, the premiere was SUPPOSED to go like this:1.) After the CDC explodes, the team tries to go back to the Vatos' hideout to warn them that the outbreak is worse than what everyone thought and that the Vatos should escape with them.2.) However, when getting there, the group finds the place completely overrun with everyone dead/zombified. They begin taking out the Walkers. This is Rick's "To hell with the noise!" scene from the trailer.3.) While they are there, they feel they should at least retrieve the guns they gave to the Vatos. Some of the group (Rick, Shane, Carol, Andrea, Lori, and Glenn) are inside one of the buildings hiding from Walkers. This is Rick's "we're all rattled, no one's thinking clearly, we have to start." scene from the trailer.4.) Somehow, Shane gets separated from the group and is seen running down the street with the bag of guns. He is almost swarmed by Walkers but Rick and Dale drive up quickly in the RV and save him.6.) After they all meet up, things pick up from what we see with Rick on the walkie talkie saying, 'Atlanta is done.'7.) They encounter the herd on the highway like we saw.8.) At the very end, Sophia is lost as a cliffhanger.Everything after that like searching for Sophia in the woods, the church scene, Carl being shot, etc. wasn't supposed to happen until episode 2.

Looks like Dale or someone wearing his hat shooting a pistol to the right of Rick a few seconds before "To hell with the noise" is said. That's not the church, that had siding, and it's not where the gang was last season as there were no zombies just outside the gangs' place. It's definitely Dale shown in that spot with the brick several seconds later. Maybe it was stuff that ended up cut?

Gotta make room for all of the speeches. You know, the ones that really keep the show moving.

Not really buying the super strength walkers thing. These things can barely move, but they can pin a man down and rip his intestines out with their bare hands? But they can't open bus doors or break windows?
Might have already been said but that thing couldn't even pull itself out of the mud earlier. I seldom look for flaws in shows or movies as I want to enjoy them but this really bothered me.

That blows. Wonder if they were contractually obligated not to use that guy's stuff or they didn't want to pay him for using it.

But they did show him pull himself (his leg) out. And then he obviously pulled himself out completely. So why does that still bother you?

Season 2 premiere was actually supposed to be The Fall of Atlanta. Shows how the military got overrun and taken out by the dead. Also would've shown the first meeting of Dale, Andrea and Amy. LINK

Zombies have been tearing open live bodies and eating the intestines since George Romero`s night of the living dead, all of a sudden people dont think it can be done ? lol

Thanks for the info Big Bottom. That explains the missing stuff from the trailer.

I thought the earlier report about what Darabont had planned for the premier was pretty bad (i.e. the flashback stuff with the soldier). But it looks like they cut a lot of good stuff out from the premier that had been filmed. Too bad.

This is the trailer i was looking for , dont watch if you dont want any idea of whats coming in the next 2 weekshttp://www.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/videos/on-air-trailer-the-walking-dead-is-back
yup, that definitely gives you a good idea of what is going to happenAlso, i read today that one of the reasons there aren't more zombies, and why they have been at the farm all season, is simple budget issues.

Anyone else want to see more of the first days and weeks of the zombie outbreak? I feel like it would be cool to have flashbacks showing how everyone got free and got into the camp together. How the outbreak was reported, scenes from other parts of the world.

Maybe the plan is to roll this info out over time.

If they start filling in backstories of the various characters, I hope it's not because the current storyline is no longer enough to carry the show. Flashbacks can be cool, but they can also be a crutch for a poor narrative.

I gotta admit that a couple weeks ago when I saw Darryl say "Sorry Brother" while holding the gun I thought he was offing his brother Merle who we saw in season one when he was left for dead and when they came back for him he had cut off his own arm to escape.

I'm guessing that's why they put it in there - to trick viewers into thinking Merle was coming back and Daryl was going to off him.

I would like to see Michael Rooker back on this show. Aside from a flashback scene this past season, he made some easy money AND I would like to see him and Darryl teamed up.

Well I would think their backstories (who they were, who they lost, what they had to do to survive before getting together) would enhance any storylines or character development. I get what you are saying though.I know this is a character-driven series, but I really want to know more about the infection, the zombies, the global situation etc. Maybe I'll just have to get over that.

Those who said it would have been better if Shane shot Dale are forgetting that Shane probably would have shot him in the leg and shouted for everyone to start running.

Glenn getting the watch was cheesy, my daughter just met you 3 or so months ago, but here is the watch that has been passed down through generations.
How many other chances to you think he thinks he's going to have to do this?
The whole gang talking about what to do with the kid in the barn, the vote was obvious to kill him, so do it already. 1 vs 11 turns to 2 vs 10 and they still dont do it.
Maybe you didn't watch this part, but they did decide to kill him. Rick changed his mind when he realized what Carl was becoming.I swear half of the criticisms of this show are laughable. The other half of you want all of the characters to be killed off. :lmao:
