Yeah that's a good question. Why didn't they address that? You might think that Maggie would say something like "that guy used to try to look down my top all the time in Algebra" or whatever.

The whole "I cant believe how unrealistic it is for a zombie through rip through a person's stomach" criticism was my favorite. Its a ####### series about zombies. Realism went out the door episode 1.

Regarding the stomach thing, Max Brooks (I think on that spike channel best warrior show) postulated that a zombie could well rip open a persons stomach for two reasons. One is that the tissues would tear away from the finger tips exposing the sharp fingertip bone beneath, each acting like a tiny spear. Also the zombie would not be concerned with injuring itself so could use all of its force to push its hand in (remember the zombie ripping its own face off with the windshield). INTRODUCTION
I'm not trying to scare anybody. if that
somehow happens as a result of reading this
comic that's great. but really... that's not what
this book is about. What you now hold it your
hands is the most serious piece of work I've
done so far in my career. I'm the guy that
created Battle Pope; I hope you guys realize
what a stretch this is for me. it's really not
that hard to believe when you realize that I'm
delving into subject matter that is so utterly
serious and dramatic...
Zombies.
To me, the best zombie movies aren't the
splatter tests of gore and violence with goofy
characters and tongue in cheek antics. Good
zombie movies show us how messed up we
are, they matte us question our station in
society... and our society's station in the
world. They show us gore and violence and
all that cool stuff too... but there's always
an undercurrent oi social commentary
and thoughtfulness.
Give me “Dawn of the Dead" over "Return of
the Living Dead" any day. To me zombie
movies are thought provoking, dramatic
fiction. on par with any Oscar worthy garbage
that's rolled out year after year. Movies that
make you question the fabric of our very
society are what I like. And in GOOD zombie
movies... you get that by the truckload.
With THE WALKING DEAD I want to explore
how people deal with extreme situations and
how the events CHANGE them. I'm in this
for the long haul. You guys are going to get to
see Rick change and mature to the point that
when you look back on this book you won't
even recognize him. I hope you guys are
looking forward to a sprawling epic, because
that's the idea with this one.
Everything in this book is an attempt at showing
the natural progression of events that I
think would occur in these situations. This is
a very character driven endeavor. How these
characters get there is much more important
than them getting there. I hope to show you
reflections oi your friends, your neighbors.
your families, and yourselves, and what their
reactions are to the extreme situations on
this book.
So, it anything scares you... great. but this is
not a horror book. And by that I do not mean
we think we're above that genre. Far from it.
we're lust setting out on a different path here.
This book is more about watching Rick
survive than it is about watching zombies pop
around the corner and scare you. I hope that's
what you guys are Into.
All story commentary aside, at the very least.

working with Tony Moore for as long as I can
remember. I've SEEN Tony's work, I KNOW
Tony's work, I know it better than anyone, and
I've got to say... just in case you didn't
notice... Tony really pulled out all the stops
one this one. I can really tell that he shares
my immense love for the subject matter. This
book is really a thing of beauty. I couldn't be
more pleased with how it turned out. l hope
you all agree.

happens next. Even when all the characters
die at the end... I just want it to keep going.

Walking Dead to be a chronicle of years

They're abusing that guy. He's never around and no one seems to even notice. Same thing with Carl wandering into the woods unattended. It seems like they're all just hanging out without a care in the world, sometimes.

Because they're living a very mundane existence. I think it was two episodes ago that they mentioned a week had passed since the previous episode. We're not watching this in real time. Carl is probably bored out of his ####ing mind. Why wouldn't he go wandering around the woods?

That makes much more sense, then. I have no problem with them letting the young boy wander around in the woods during a zombie apocalypse, if he's bored and all. If he got eaten, Rick would have a perfectly good explanation for it. "He was bored, guys. There's nothing we could do."

Dale was smart...he took the gun as a backup plan in case the "suicide by zombie attack" plan didn't work. There are many levels going on in this story...I don't fault you for not grasping them all.

A lot of this depends on the rules. Can zombies turn vampires into super zombies? Can vampires get sustenance from zombie blood?

Vampires only chance for a win is to work with humans at the outset of the zombie outbreak to stop it.
This is a trick question....they are both already undead. It's like asking who wins a nuclear war....no one wins.

I am rewriting the last episode.
In my world, Carl is throwing rocks at the walker. He keeps throwing and throwing all the while getting closer and closer. But OH NO!! He got too close and the zombie scratches his arm. Carl runs back to camp afraid to tell his parents. So he decides to hide in the family tent.
Lori, 6 hours later, begins to think about Carl...hmmm, wonder where he is?
4 more hours pass and she wonders, Hmm, maybe I should go look for him? Nah, I would have to put pants on and Shane and/or Rick could be stopping by at any minute.
Finally 3 hours later she needs something to eat, so she might as well go look for Carl--sort of kill two birds with one stone there.
She slowly enters the family tent. Carl?? Carl?? AUUUUGHHHHHH!!! From nowhere, Zombie Carl (still wearing dad's sheriff's hat) attacks and rips out her throat. As she slowly bleeds out on the floor of the tent, Rick enters and shoots Zombie Carl in the head. Rick goes to his now dead wife, distraught with what has just happened. As he holds her lifeless body....AUUUGHHHH!!! Zombie baby, looking remarkably like Shane, erupts from her stomach just like an Alien spawn and chews into his chest.
Shane stumbles upon the terrible scene. Horrified, he slowly zips the tent flap shut and sets the whole thing on fire.
Scene fades out with a close up on Shane--his face illuminated by the fire from the tent. A small grin begins to form. All problems are now solved and he is the king of the camp.
Next week: Andrea and Maggie have a cat fight that dissolves into a vicious mud wrestling match.

The show is about if they are in a battle, not what would occur over long periods of time. Vampires could feed off animals if they had to anyway.

Really depends on the type of vampires. Zombies can move throughout the day but aren't smart enough to seek out vampires during that time. Vampires are strong enough to rip a head right off a zombie body and are already dead so immune to the bite. I have to give the edge to the vampires. Unless we're talking about sparkly vampires. Then it's zombies all day, twice on Sundays.
