And his Michael Myers kid.Rick should shoot his whore of a wife now.
I also was in the same boat as you on the complaints but wow have they turned this around and done it very well.Never kept up with the comics but will have no problem sticking with the show from now on if this continues.Season 1 was great at the start and then fizzled late but this season has been outstanding and has me wanting more and now! This show has kicked some serious ### during the second half of this season.
No more complaints from me if they continue anything close to this pace.
and Breaking Bad S5Watch Mad MenSo what the hell do I do for the next 6 months?
Yep. That kids a menace. Dale, Shane and the RV kid all dead and Carl bears some of the responsibility for each of their deaths.Should've been Carl in that RVKid in the RV got a raw deal. Rick should have pounded on the RV roof for him to get going, once they climbed on the roof. Or he should have pulled up door side out, but there might not have been time for that.Carl is being really annoying "I'm not leaving without mom." "I'm freezing."
The kid didn't open the RV door it got bashed in.I dont know... I've been watching and have really enjoyed both seasons, but last night's episode wasnt that good (IMO). The walker's abilities really seem to vary from show to show. Sometimes they can run, sometimes they can only walk slowly. In season one, Rick was shooting at them from an upstairs window. They never tried to push through the door, but now - no house is safe. Rick and Carl are running through the hundreds of walkers - but none of them really notice - or can pick up speed to catch them. They spent all that time on the farm and never even discussed what they'd do if a horde showed up? No rondevous point? No root cellar that they could hide in? No idea that there were more walkers than they had bullets?Lori's series of reactions was ridiculous. Nothing about her character makes sense. The way Rick told the crowd that he'd killed Shane was ridiculous. How about starting out with "he had me at gunpoint and was going to kill me." Instead he goes with something about killing Shane for them because its what they all wanted. Also, if Shane was leading Rick way into the woods, howcome the Rick/Shane scene went down in the field just past the front yard.I also dont like how everyone is willing to lay themselves down so that Rick, Lori & Carl will survive. The dude in the RV didnt need to fully stop or open his door. He didnt need to wait for Rick and his moron son to climb down the ladder. Hershel is now of the mind that there is nothing more important than protecting his own family - but apparently this only applies to Rick and his family because Hershel certainly had no problem sending his family out to fight off the horde - Mad Max style. Why cant they keep an eye on Carl? Carl is certainly old enough to understand that he shouldnt be walking in the woods alone.Frankly, if Rick was concerned about the group, he'd shoot his wife and use the handcuffs to lock Carl up until he learned not to wander off. This episode reminded me of an old horror movie where the 'soon to be victims' completely irrational behavior leads to their demise. I'd like them to advance the story based upon circumstance and good writing - rather than relying on people acting totally irrational.
I was ready to give up on the show earlier this season. Reading the comics convinced me to stick around and I'm glad I did.I was limping along with the show for a while there as it was one that both me and the lady could agree on. The last few episodes really sucked me in though.![]()
Glen seemed taken aback but I think he still trusts Rick enough to believe he did what he had to do. I think Daryl has become firmly on Rick's side.As far as Lori, she got what she wanted and I think she hates herself because of it and is taking it out on Rick. I think it's one thing for her to plant the seed with Rick that he had to take care of Shane; it's another for him to actually do it. And there's no question in my mind she still had feelings for Shane so having him eliminated was tough for her to accept. I don't care much for her character for a number of reasons but it's not because I think she's poorly developed or anything like that. I just think she's a pretty unlikable character and given how there are plenty of Lori's in the world I don't have a problem with her being in this one.But I won't be the least bit disappointed if she's the next to go.Awesome finale. I hate Lori, but I guess I can see her getting upset. Problem is that this is all on her (banging Shane, not knowing where the hell her kid is all the time), Rick did nothing wrong. If it stretches it into continuing to be pissed at Rick, then it will be goofy. Daryl and Glen know that Rick's story is 100% true.
I think Chris Hardwick summed things up for Rick pretty well on "The Talking Dead" last night - people need to get off his ###. He's gone through a lot lately. People need to cut him some slack.Game of Thrones and Mad Men are no brainers. Probably better shows as well.and Breaking Bad S5Watch Mad MenSo what the hell do I do for the next 6 months?
Aside from the zombies, pretty sure you don't have to worry about fantasy stuff. Also, I think most everyone in the show is from the comics, not just hoodie.I still have to watch the first season.....so that hooded ghostface killah was a character from the comic? awesome stuff. What's up with that fortress nearby? I hope this doesn't get too True Blood for me. I lost that show with all the fairies and shape shifters.

No interest in Mad Men.

"Andrea, I know you. Hanging out with zombie pets isn't right. You know this!"I wish Dale was still around:"I'm not sure I want to live in a world where we go around burning barns.""Hold on a second there, Rick. I say we vote on whether this should be a democracy or not.""Is that who we've become? People that make jokes about Asian drivers?"
Loved how bald chick is talking about Rick not having honor and being a bad leader at the fire and Darryl just shuts her down as dead wrong. Loved that, and also loved Rick saying basically "screw you people, stop #####ing, you wanted me to be the leader, if you don't like it, get the hell out." Everyone else was panicing, Rick was the only one really saying we need to slow down/calm down and try to figure something out. Blindly driving on the road with no supplies and little fuel is asking for a quick death.I thought Lori was having a perfectly natural reaction of shock, it wasn't until Rick told her that Carl had to put Shane down that she went over the deep end. She's still laboring under the delusion that Carl needs to be protected and is just a little boy, Rick had fully excepted and told Carl in the prior episode that he will no longer have a normal childhood and would have to start taking care of himself.Glen seemed taken aback but I think he still trusts Rick enough to believe he did what he had to do. I thought it was a great shot. I'm sure all those who read the comics knew exactly what it was immediately. I haven't read them but I've heard enough rumblings to get an idea what it could all be about. But just the idea they were close to another compound of some kind sent the message that there are others out there and they have found a place of apparent safety (which is what Rick insists is still out there). My guess is that will end up being a "Be careful what you wish for" type of deal in Season 3.Only thing that really left me flat at the end was that final shot of the prison, thought they could have done that a lot better. My girlfriend was like "wtf?" She couldn't even tell what the building was.

As someone brilliantly posted before:A few Observations and questions:2. Why was Lori mad at Rick after she told him he had to kill Shane? Isn't that what Lori wanted him to do after they had the conversation in the tent.
You can bet Rick never ###### her in the dirt like that that.

And I did roll my eyes at the perfect shooting and rare reloading. My shotgun can hold about 7 rounds with no plug, but Herschel fired off like 10-15 there at one point before reaching in his pocket to reload.
Yeah, and as others have mentioned you'd think these folks would have planned for such an event. Can't you just use the two pickups to run down the walkers all night? You don't even have to drive fast. Just ride through them knocking them down, breaking legs, backs. Then finish them off by running over them again and again. Hell you hardly have to fire any shots.Looking back the final episode was good (even taking the shotgun and shooting from cars thing) but the driving around like mad men didnt really seem what a realistic person would do in that scenario. Wouldnt you, you know, just get in the car when you see the walkers that far off and drive and then maybe later try and come back for supplies or something? I dont think I would be driving in circles trying to shoot them all.
That was actually a good plan if he hadn't been in such a rush to set the fire. Wait until most of them are in and they are climbing all over each other, light it and get out.Aside from some of the stupid stuff that I can overlook in the name of suspension of disbelief -- scoring perfect headshots from moving vehicles, shotguns that never need reloading, "hey, let's set the barn we're trapped in on fire!," no good rendevous location despite having had weeks to plan for this contingency, etc. -- this past season has been light-years better than the first. Looking forward to some new characters in Season 3.
Apparently the zombie virus rendered all satellites useless or they could have used a GPS to find out where to go.I'm a trained, professional chef. I'm leading a group of people who are hungry during a zombie apocolypse and need to find the perfect place to prepare and serve them a meal. If only I could think of such a place....All this time, and even during that speech, Rick never had the thought: "Hey, we should head for a prison!"
You guys would make a boring ### show.Yeah, and as others have mentioned you'd think these folks would have planned for such an event. Seems to me this could probably be easily solved by going on a yacht and finding a nice island.Yeah, and as others have mentioned you'd think these folks would have planned for such an event. Haven't watched Homeland yet. My cable provider requires me to pay $20/month for the movie channel that carries it here in Canada. Will probably just buy from itunes this summer. It's a great show. The main character is a US Marine who comes home and is suspected of perhaps being a terrorist.I think there's a Canadian version of it but the guy is a Mountie who is suspected of being a moose.Haven't watched Homeland yet. which leads me to another question I asked why earlier. Wouldnt you go scavenge like a big truck or bus or something for just an event like this? To plow through the zombies. An early 70's model truck, an 80's suburban, a beat up RV and a new Prious isnt really what I had in mind. And the motorcycle has to be the dumbest of them all.Yeah, and as others have mentioned you'd think these folks would have planned for such an event. I think T dawg wanted to do this.
