After sitting idle in gas tanks for more than 3 months, gas is pretty much useless. And no electricity to pump gas out of service station pumps.

Older cars are much easier to work on than newer cars.

Which is entirely my point. During a zombie apocalypse, I would think you would want to keep a car running as long as you could. Not many mechanics/stations around if and when the engine dies.

My point of contention was with the bolded, which is entirely untrue. I think you can probably find a working vehicle if yours breaks down.

It's not "entirely" untrue. I work for a fuels company, I know alot about gas/fuel. Sure gas will still "work", but the older it gets, the more damage it will do to your engine. It's that simple.

If 3-month old gas still works, I don't know that "pretty much useless" is a fair description.

If you think continually using old gas in a car won't hurt the engine and eventually having it seize up during a zombie apocalypse isn't a bad thing (pretty much useless), I don't want to be part of your group.I'll be the one to put an arrow through your head from the bed of my 84 Ford truck a few weeks later.

This is disturbing on quite a few levels.

And while zombie marvin is still sitting in his Prius wondering why the car won't start after 9 months, I will first point and laugh, and then I will shoot him too. Then I will drive over the Prius in my 84 Ford truck. Which by the way, are very very easy to fix, and can pretty much burn any kind of gelled gasoline for quite a while before even thinking of seizing up.

I listened to a podcast interview with Executive Producer Glen Mazzara (who took over from Frank Darabont). I think he really gets this show (more than F.D. did). His work on a successful TV series (The Shield) helps I am sure. Since he took over the show got much better. I am really excited to see where it goes next season.

There’s material in the comic that does pose challenges to us. When we deviate from the comic book, it’s because we really feel it would not translate onto a weekly TV show. If he loses his hand, and he ever meets Merle, how do they shake hands?

A: The group is upset with Rick in general for keeping Jenner's secret and killing one of their own. Murder in a small-knit group is not to be taken lightly, so of course they would be upset. And Lori loves Rick, and she has recently realized that she does indeed love Shane.

She almost said so in "Better Angels." She decides to take action by talking to Rick, so when Lori is horrified by Rick's confession, yes, she is upset a man she loved was killed but more importantly, that man was killed by another man she loves and she was a catalyst...

She is horrified by her own culpability and is projecting that self-hatred onto Rick.

A helicopter would be pretty cool, especially for clearing areas. Never really thought about it, but you could get a herd from a city going down a highway with that and then go ahead and circle around. The herd is no going from Atlanta to DC and you can clear out the rest of the city way more easily. Way more safe than whatever big truck/bus you could use.Of course, helicopter fuel is pretty much useless at 2.625785 months, so might as well walk.

Awesome. Both look like winners to have in our handy dandy duffle pack for Zombie Apocolypse 2014 (giving us a good solid year+ to get ready). I think the goal should be a $500 kit to be ready to roll. I may even start a thread on it.

Thankfully, she goes a long with it because I grabbed the fuel additive mentioned a couple pages ago.

There's hope for all you T-Dog fans out there:

T-Dog managed to survive the season finale. I think it’s fair to say that, of all the characters, I think we’ve gotten to know him the least. Is he more of a presence next year?Mazzara: There is a plan for T-Dog. Given all of the things that I had to focus on to develop the show in a way that I felt was best, I will say that T-Dog got short shrift. We took care of business, and now we can delve into Michonne and the Governor and T-Dog and all these other characters. T-Dog fans will be happy. We’re no longer interested in having a character in the background only saying one line per episode. We’re done with that. But again, we only had so much real estate, and it was very important for me to tell Rick’s story.
