***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (7 Viewers)

Sorry if this was discussed but does Rick finding the bullet mean Carl didn't shoot her and left her dying? The zombie ate the rest of her, how did he miss the bullet. I guess it could have gone through her head??

I don't think we have precedent for a zomb eating an entire body before, usually they maul and move on. But maybe that one was a competitive eater pre infection.

This is gonna be good on Sunday night.
This whole season has been great. The episode before last could have been a season ender, but it ended up setting up new storylines. Love the creepy governor combing his zombie daughter's hair and putting a sack over her head each time she is ready to feast on daddy. Also looking forward to the reunion of Daryl, Meryl, and Rick. Guessing that doesn't happen until Rick returns from the dark side. Also who is calling on the phone at the end of last episode. Best season yet by far I think.

Did the zombie eat all of her or were there additional drag marks? If it was the whole thing, then ok, the bullet broke the skull up so it could be eaten. But what about her pelvis and leg bones? I don't think a zombie can chomp through those. Maybe other parts of her were dragged off.

I do think she's dead though. It could be as simple as they are limited in the amount of gore they can show so they didn't show it or it was dragged off by other zombies.

i think lori is dead. but to completely rule out the sliver of possibility that she may be alive just cuz the writers and actress herself said so is also a bit ridiculous. i think the evidence points to the death (kid fired shot, zombie with full belly, hair in zombies mouth) more than her being alive (body missing, shot happening off camera, full zombie and hair could be red herrings). again, i think shes dead but the mattor of fact posters in here sound just as funny as pete.

oh and will bet my left nut that carol is alive still.

Why do you guys refuse to believe that she's dead? I don't want to use any spoil anything so here:
Callies has said that her character is dead and she needs to be dead for Rick to talk to her on the phone.
"Lori has more control over her own death than anyone else who dies on the show," Callies said. "It's hard for me because it's a death for Lori that is a victory, ultimately, for her. She got the baby to term and now she can leave this group of people with a gift of hope and renewal. That's the most important symbol you can leave them with."For someone who played such an important role in the show, it is now up to the memory of her character to carry the story and move what happens to both Rick and her older son Carl."I think in a way she became a part of Rick's conscious and he's going to have to recalibrate without her," Callies said. "Lori was the first one to say we have to bury the dead, it's not your decision who lives and dies. Lori was the one who said things that were uncomfortable and hard to say but needed to be said.

And maybe that's the voice that Rick's going to have to start hearing again.
"

You trying to prove a negative?
I'm not the one who has to prove anything here. It's obvious Carl shot Lori and she's dead. That in the very next episode we saw a zombie with Lori's hair hanging out of his mouth adds even further confirmation that she's gone. There's absolutely no way Carl would let his father have a complete breakdown in front of everyone if Lori was still alive. It defies all common sense.
On "Talking Dead", the show that discusses the most recent Walking Dead episode, it was either the writer or director that confirmed that the engorged zombie Rick found sitting on the floor against the wall was indeed the zombie that ate Lori. Strands of her hair can be seen hanging from the mouth of the zombie that feasted on Lori as well. Yep Lori is gone. They offed her sooner than I thought they would.
Once again...would you put it beyond a writer/director to mislead the viewing public only to produce a real shocker later? It's called "fiction".
Why so they can just kill her later?....The killed her in the book...they killed her here. Frankly, if there were a couple more chicks around in the Walking Dead, Rick would be dancing for joy.

He can keep volunteering Glenn for suicide missions. Or the girl playing Herschal's younger daughter is 27, so he can C###-block the 13 yr old Carl.

It's also ridiculous to believe that Carl would allow his father to have a complete breakdown in front of everyone by allowing him to think Lori was dead. Furthermore, if the zombie didn't devour Lori's remains who did it kill who just happened to be in the very same spot we last saw Lori?

These zombies are a resourceful bunch.

Lori's not alive folks. There have been multiple confirmations that she died during childbirth, Carl offed her and then the zombie at her remains.
Pretty sure she's still alive, guy. You offer no proof to the contrary.
Kirkman confirmed it two episodes ago. Greg Nicotero, exec producer and director of last Sunday's episode, confirmed her remains were eaten by the zombie Rick killed. That's two exec producers and the creator of the comic the show is based on. That's enough confirmation for me.
 Like a director/writer/showrunner would spoil some huge plot twist/shocker.
At this point the director's could have had Lori's face hanging from the Zombies mouth and you'd all proclaim:" so, she could have still lived through losing her face.. Still haven't seen the flat line showing us she really is dead. "

Nice fallacy there.
Pretty sure this HAS to be a :fishing: trip but I'll bite for a bit.... She was gutted like a :fishy: and yet some here want to believe she is still alive.. :loco:
There is no proof that she is dead. It's all circumstantial. I supposed you believed that Merle was dead all along as well.
I think Carol is holed up in another part of the prison, trapped by other walkers. Rick will run across her I bet.

How long would it take until it's second nature to split a zombie's brain open?

I mean, are you kind of timid on the first four or five zombie kills?

I used to fish for fairly decent size tuna..when you get them on board you have to whack them in the head with a leaded bat. It takes a few before you realize how hard you have to hit them.

I dont get it. Carol was saved by tdog. did the fat zombie at the end eat Lori?
yeah he ate Lori's corpse.
I was thinking that the zombie looked nothing like Lori, yet appeared to be pregnant. I just assumed it was Lori. :bag:
That was really poorly done, but I got that they were trying to imply that. The confusing part was that they didn't show her bones anywhere. BTW, what's up with the zombies eating dead things (deer, Lori) all of sudden? Maybe they've been doing it all along but I never noticed it before.
if you remember earlier in the series, there was a guy who hung himself in the woods -- the walkers came and ate off all the flesh from hi slegs.I think they eat meat that's somewhat freshly dead, but not other walkers.

I know he's supposed to be the bad guy, but so far the Governor is just another guy... More of a good guy if anything. I think they're making Rick the bad guy.
uhm.....didn't that regular guy just gun down a bunch of guys in cold blood -- some of the few remaining humans, just to get their guns?I'd hate to wander around your neighborhood.

Killing them is counter to what the Governor has said about taking the world back from the zombies.

I would imagine it becomes a pretty mundane chore -- like if you are a butcher.I would think being a butcher would be a horrible grisly job, but those guys have probably gotten used to it -- or like make up artists on that kardashians show.

nothing he says means anything -- it is all bs to manipulate people into following him.he's basically just a typical caricature of the cynical view of government to enable blunt political satire, which is why he's called 'the governor' -- they could have just as easily called him 'george' and play this exact same role.

OK, quick review on zombie eating protocol: Do they devour everything or just bite and move on? If you are bitten and you can stop the bleeding and heal will you be ok (until you die and become a zombie of course but that happens to everyone now)?

Someone said if you don't see someone killed on-screen they are still alive. Is this true so far and does this mean Lori is alive?

TIA, Zombie nerds.

Word has it that Tyreese will be introduced this season. Actor Chad Coleman has been cast and seen shooting scenes on the Woodbury set.

Rumors around the web is that the phone call is Carol calling from another section of the prison. I really hope not...

Can you, in theory, hurt a zombie's feelings, thus distracting them from attacking you?

Like if you told a female zombie that she looks fat in her tattered dress.

From a reputable television insider's blog

...I have it on good authority that Lori's "death" might just be the greatest trick played on the viewing public in television history...
Only thing I can think of is that Carl took the shot, but didn't kill her. Carol then found her and her skills she learned while practicing on the female zombie gave her enough confidence to stitch her up. Dammit...I think I just nailed it.

Then why was the zombie so fat and had dark hair sticking out of his mouth, all while being in the same room Lori was in?

LORI IS DEAD FOLKS.

Good point, but then showing the whole scene of Carol learning the female anatomy and then NOT showing Carol die is causing me to rethink things.
