Only thing I can think of is that Carl took the shot, but didn't kill her. Carol then found her and her skills she learned while practicing on the female zombie gave her enough confidence to stitch her up. Dammit...I think I just nailed it.

They gutted her like a fish.. If she survived the gutting, the baby being yanked out with no regards to her health, the time between them taking the kid and leaving the room, carol finding her and then stitching her up.. well then, yea.. great trick.. Seriously.. Pulling something like that will bring out the at the earliest moment in TV history.

Sorry. It's a show about Rick becoming evil and losing touch with his humanity. It just happens to have a lot of zombies. They could just as easily be werewolves. Point is, many folks were laughing at those who questioned reality of various scenes earlier. Why is it suddenly absurd to think Lorie could have survived even if it isn't realistic? Realism has never been a key component of this show.

She lost a lot of blood and had some hair pulled out/blown off. Where is the body? Suddenly zombies care about being tidy and stashed her neatly in the corner? Me thinks not. The kid shot her but it was a crappy shot. Badly wounded but alive and recovering. She'll probably show up next season banging The Governor.

I'd say there's about a one-thousandth percent chance she's alive.

Shane was essentially one of his parents too. There's a lot of Shane in his new darker personality. No reason he'd let papa bear go nuts, coupled with his new realistic attitude, by not actually having killed her. It's possible, but there are 100 more likely possibilities, including werewolves and leprechauns.

Oh I'm sure he thinks he killed her. Just he was so emotionally bothered by it all that his aim was crappy and he wasn't really watching. But wasn't he becoming a budding serial killer before the outbreak? Maybe he has a bit too much Shane in him and wants to see the old man go nuts.

Look, I am in the camp that believes Lori is dead.

Here is what we know about Lori:

Just given birth via C-section

Supposedly died

Was left behind on the floor with her abdomen open in a prison full of flesh-eating zombies

Has stated in an interview that her character is dead

And Carol:

Disappeared in the same timeframe

Has as much training as surgery as I would get in an Operation game

"Might" have had some medical supplies with her

Was also being chased by zombies

However, if you were to ask me if I thought it was possible that they might pull out some sort of magic scenario where Carl didnt shoot Lori and Carol managed to run across her and save her life while holed up in some cell somewhere and they been found yet, I would say that it was possible. I would hope they wouldn't pull something so clearly stupid, but yeah, it's possible.

Until people become smart enough to shut gates and lock doors behind them, I'm on the zombies' side. I think it would be fun to watch a whole episode from the zombie perspective, laughing to themselves about how stupid these morons are that can't close doors behind them.I just hope they're willing to turn over all the characters as they add new ones.
