***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (1 Viewer)

The following spoilers are not from the comic, but from the internet and about the show. No idea if they're true or not.

Milton is going to die. He took a part on a new show that films concurrently with the Walking Dead. So, he won't be back next year.

There is a tractor farmstead across the way from the feed store where Rick met The Governor, Merle is strangled to death by Philip and becomes a walker, he eats Ben and Martinez finds him, Merle bites Martinez so he is forced to run. Out of mercy, Daryl puts down Martinez and then finds Merle.

And that awful character Lori is DEAD. Anything else and the show just needs to go off air.
what  and if you truly want the show to go off the air, here is a quick thought.. No one is forcing you to watch it so don't..

I'm blown away by the number of people who have so much time on their hands they spend it watching a show they don't like.
I don't think tdoss said that, but I also don't think tdoss gets the sarchasm. Maybe there were a couple hamster_13s when Lori first died, but I am pretty sure every comment about Lori being alive this season has been a joke.
BS. Its pretty clear Lori is the one who burnt the zombies
Well, yea. Of course.

Spoiler that, would ya? You just ruined everything.

Well I see your point. And if someone who has been watching this show from day one who started to dislike the show on day two or three were still here I'd agree with you. This was a solid show in seasons 1 and 2 IMHO and I think most fans in here would agree with that point either in whole or in great part. Even the first half of this season was OK in my personal book. The writing in the second half of season 3 just isn't very good, again just my opinion. So what should I do now? Turn it off entirely? Just come in here say say how great the new direction the show is taking? Or just hope the Govnah takes a bullet and we move on in season 4? It's also not unheard of for writers and producers do pay attention to what the fan base says (FU David Chase) and make changes based upon feedback. Hopefully they make some changes in season 4 and it goes back to being the very good show it can be (like in season 1 and 2).

Nope. It has been pretty clearly established that the bites cause you to get sick and die due to a regular, but very virulent, infection (not ZOMBIE INFECTION) caused by the extremely dirty, bacteria-laden zombie mouths.
Shenanigans. If that were the case our protagonists would have a much keener interest in scrounging up a few simple antibiotics.

If anything, the opposite of what you're saying has been implied. Any time someone gets bitten it's immediately assumed that they're dead (unless drastic measures like amputation are taken). Obviously if someone gets bitten by a dirty mouth and the only risk is normal bacterial infection then you don't immediately assume they're going to die.

Additionally, Milton (the guy who studies how to beat the zombie infection) took a major interest in how long after Herschel's bite his leg was amputated. It's a major stretch to think that he was asking because he wanted to find out about a normal bacterial infection.

The show has never actually come out and said either way (zombie bite turns your or zombie bite is just dirty and gross), but if they've hinted one way or the other it's clearly towards the direction that a zombie bite is an insta-killer/insta-turner and not just some guy who hasn't brushed his teeth in a while carrying some bacteria that could hurt you naturally.

I just completely disagree with you. Season 2 was mostly a waste. The barn episode was the only one that stood out as a good episode. Season 3 is better in my mind, and the episode where Rick goes out w/ his son and Michonne was one of the best episodes of the series.I mean, how much of season 2 was looking in the woods for a girl they'd never find while arguing about where they can and cannot carry guns on the farm.

I just assumed that the lving are carrying a dormant form of the zombie virus and that the walkers obviously carrying an active form of the virus, once bitten that activates the zombie virus but to a living person it is like having an agressive infection casuing them to become sick/septic and this is what kills them. The idea of slowly turing into a walker doesn't make since, you are either dead/walker or you are alive.

You just summed up 90% of the people in the FFA...go into ANY TV Show thread and it's just insane at how many people do this.I always enjoy the Lost thread...some people spent years doing this...
well, I watch the show, but s03 has been circling the drain.I keep watching, hoping it'll get better, because I've got 3 seasons invested in it.

I know it won't change, though, without darabont, but maybe the new guy will polish it up next season.

Do not click this link if you don't want to be spoiled. Its a bunch of pictures and you see what happens to certain people.

Seriously, this is a legit spoiler, not a joke
I clicked it. :(
I clicked it too. I wouldn't say it was major. I mean we all figured Carl would hook up with Beth at some point. I guess the full frontal nudity is a little bit of a surprise though.
now, if we could only get a record of everybody who clicks looking for a nude carl

The idea that people die from infection within a few hours or even a day of being bit by a person with a dirty mouth is laughable.
So is a show about Zombies. But you know.... it is entertainment,I think the GovNah is more laughable myself at this point....
Pretty sure it is possible to catch cholera and die, within a day, if left untreated. Look perfectly healthy in the morning and dead by bedtime.
The failure in this logic is that a perfectly healthy person can die of a heart attack, come back as a zombie and then kill someone with a bite.

boom! I think you just nailed it.refute that!

some chick could polish off a pack of dentyne, 6 mentos, and get drowned in a bathtub full of listerine, come back 5 min later and turn you.

why don't FX or BBC Anerica ever do this for their shows? Makes it hard to try to get into shows like SoA or Luther if I don't get a chance to see it from the start...

Awesome. I've never seen the show and this seems like a way to catch up. Such a long thread here I guess it must be good, right? I'm not generally a zombie guy though...

I stopped finding Monty Python humorous when I grew hair in my armpits fwiw. I also hate the 3 Stooges. I find Anchorman to be hysterical. I don't know what to tell you.

Anyway...maybe I could start liking stuff about zombies if this is good. Would it be in bad taste to bump old parts of the thread as I watch?
