I apologize but youre going to have to talk to me like I'm stupid with this...

They have comics that are the same as the books or not? I tried to Wiki this and think I got myself evem more confused between the comics, hardcover books and the novels.
Comics have been released in a ton of different form factors but all contain the same base material.

1) Individual comic books numbered 1 through 114

2) In trade paperbacks which combine six comic issues at a time (there are 18 of these released to date)

3) In hard cover books, which combine 12 issues at a time (there are 9 of these released to date)

4) In hard cover omni bus editions, which combine 24 issues at a time (there have been 4 of these released to date)

5) In soft cover compendium books, which cover 48 issues at a time (this weighs a ton. There are two of these released)

All 5 above are the exact same material, just released in different sizes

Outside of these comics, are the 3 novels I explained in my previous post. The novels are not comics, they are full no picture written novels.

Here is an amazon link for one example of each of the 5 form factors above plus a link for one of the novels. It is very hard to find issue #1 as you can see from the ebay sale link below.

1) Individual Comic Book: http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-WALKING-DEAD-ISSUE-1-First-Print-CGC-/171137429230

2) Trade Paper Back: http://www.amazon.com/The-Walking-Dead-Vol-Days/dp/1582406723

3) Hard cover: http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Dead-Book-One/dp/1582406197

4) Ominbus: http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Dead-Omnibus-3/dp/1607063301

5) Compendium: http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Dead-Compendium-One/dp/1607060760

6) Novel: http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Dead-Rise-Governor/dp/1250039649

The most popular form people buy is the trade paperbacks. In the other thread we have all of the individual comics stored online that you can read on your nook from #1 to #106 if that is what you would prefer.

Let me know if this helps at all.
:goodposting: I've downloaded some of the comics to my kindle fire but had a hard time figuring out all the different formats on Amazon so :thanks:
You are welcome.

If you are going to read on kindle, just use the other thread where we stored all of the .cbr/cbz files. Those should work fine on the kindle. If any of the links have gone stale, shoot me a pm.
I had already download quite a few from that other thread.. Stopped when the comics reached about mid-point of last season, so time to go back and download some more.

FYI for BigBoy ....

I ended up using Calibre to covert the files and by doing so it opened on the Kindle Fire without any issues.

So I downloaded all the files and tried to add them to the Nook and it said the file want compatible.

So I unzipped the file and they were all CBR/CBZ and the Nook still said they were compatible. What's my next move?
I don't own a nook but on the ipad I had to get an app to read the cbr/cbz files. You will have to research that step for yourself for the nook.I do know people who read comics on nook so you should be able to do this.

If I remember correctly, I added the files on that thread in cbr or cbz form. You should not need to ever unzip them. Just get an app and let it read the files directly.
I want to say that the first 3-4 links needed to be unzipped and were in RAR format.

I was researching and some said to take these files and convert them to PDF's and then move them to the Nook--this is Chinese to me :(

that could be right about the .rar, I did not add the early files, I think Usual21 did those.

Did you get a chance to look for a nook app to help you read these files? If you have an app store, just type in "comic reader" and see what comes up, there should be something in there that handles the comic book formats (there are a ton of apps on the Ipad that do it).

Also, if the technology proves to be too difficult, there are some great deals running on Ebay for the TPB's. You can get all 18 TPB's for just $160 right now, brand new. If you read them and keep them in good condition, you can resell them back on ebay for very close to that price.

Just watched the webisodes. Very cool.
I thought they were a little flat and "wait for it" unbelievable.

The fact she can just wheel him into the lunch room without concern of being attack and when he is put there he's able to get free were a bit much.

What did you convert them to?
There is a drop down in the program to select the device you want to read them on.. In my case it was "Amazon" in your case it would be "Barnes & Noble".

Just a thought.. it helped me to get be able to read them so it should work for you

Do I need to have seen the previous season's webisodes to watch this season's? Are they the same characters?
There are 3 webisode series that have been released. All are different stories and characters.

In order of release:

1) Torn Apart - 6 episodes

2) Cold Storage - 4 episodes

3) The Oath - 3 episodes

The first two complete web series are on youtube. They are very short so no reason not to watch them first. You can get all 10 episodes here

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC09448134D906619

AMC is re-showing Season 2 now. The opening sequence, where they run into the swarm, is pretty damn good. Then it goes off the rails until Sophia in the barn

so when sunday starts they'll all be living in the prison, with big farms in the prison yard, watchmen in the towers, fixed fences. im assuming somehow they'll have animals, cows chickens etc unless theyre all vegetarians now. They may start to venture out saying they need livestock or some other supplies because we know that town is nearby. They'll goto the town and run into the mayor and his 3 man crew. Carl will get kidnapped and Rick risks everything to save them

I find it tough to watch the replays of this with knowing what happens. It just ruins it for me more than it does with other shows for some reason.

trying to decide if I'm going to stick around for another season or not...
Well I haven't quit Sons of Anarchy yet so I'd say the chances of me sticking around this season are good.

I had read a while back that this season is going back towards the whole keeping safe, figure out what the science is, rebuild humanity formula and not some at war with a bad guy down the road formula. Thats what I like about the earlier episodes of the show so hopefully I 'll like this season more.

I actually really liked season 2 so for me there's only been a half season of suckiness (remember, the first half of season 3 was still pretty good).

With that show runner now gone, I'm back to being excited for the show. Comic Con trailer looked good, too.

I liked parts of Season 2.. Just thought they spent WAY too much time on the "Searching for Sophia" Storyline.. Sure, in the end there was a pay off when they opened the barn..

But it just got ridiculous each week with one member or the other proclaiming they were still going to find her alive after all that time

Because the acting is horrible and the writing is horrible. The best part of the show is not having seen what happens yet, and the zombie kills you haven't seen yet. It's a tough show to re-watch.

 season 3 rerun started tonight and my daughter and I are enjoying it.

OK, rewatching a few season 3 episodes and I will admit that some of the foreshadowing the do and other things that call back prior events are good, if you are seeing them in the show. It is almost like watching Airplane over again, where there are so many background things going on that it takes more than one viewing to catch it all.

Not reading anything here. I have maybe 3 shows that I watch (2 that happen to be on tonight). My wife tells me 15 minutes after it started (right when I walk in ready to start watching) that she bumped The Walking Dead for some stupid show she'll never watch. Pissed off right now. Guess I'll play some GTAV or something to avoid spoilers.
