Yeah, I don't know if they'll follow the comics with that but still should be avoided.Read it yesterday but fortunately it's just a comic book spoiler. At least for now anyway.Huge spoiler alert.

It is pretty rare that a character on the show dies in the same manner as they did in the comic book.Read it yesterday but fortunately it's just a comic book spoiler. At least for now anyway.Huge spoiler alert.

I don't know why, but for some reason I think they'll go through with that one on the tv show.It is pretty rare that a character on the show dies in the same manner as they did in the comic book.Read it yesterday but fortunately it's just a comic book spoiler. Sometimes its slightly different. Other times its completely different. And people still alive in the comic are dead on the show.
In short, I wouldn't worry about it.
That's my take on it too. It's clearly labeled a comics spoiler so if does come to pass on the show so be it. I'm pretty much prepared for this show to do just about anything at this point. It is pretty rare that a character on the show dies in the same manner as they did in the comic book.Read it yesterday but fortunately it's just a comic book spoiler. The radio broadcast was a memory, so I'm leaning "transmission of a real event" rather than "recap of the WD wasteland".And it fits with Tyreese saying "turn it off" just before he died.Could've been Rwandan and that definitely fits in with Tyreese talking about his father. But the transcript also could be viewed as someone's take on everything the group has done and encountered as well. I think it fits either way.
This is definitely an episode that will require multiple viewings to catch all the stuff going on. Very layered.
He was hallucinating everything at that point. It's not out of the question that his mind was playing tricks on him with the broadcasts too.The radio broadcast was a memory, so I'm leaning "transmission of a real event" rather than "recap of the WD wasteland".And it fits with Tyreese saying "turn it off" just before he died.Could've been Rwandan and that definitely fits in with Tyreese talking about his father. Was starting to wonder about that a little.. the differences between a dream and a hallucination. What I said I think would make sense if it were a dream, not sure for hallucination to be honest. He was hallucinating everything at that point. Tyreese died in the comic the way Herschel did in the show.Just offhand about major deaths:
Comic Lori: Shot by Governor <> Show: Killed by childbirth
Comic Judith: Shot when Lori shot <> Show: Crying paperweight
Comic Andrea: Alive <> Show: Bitten while in captivity
Comic T-Dog: Doesn't Exist <> Show: Sacrificed himself to save Carol
Comic Carol: Killed herself @ prison <> Show: Still alive and now a bad ###
Comic Tyrese: I don't even remember but I think he got clipped by a jealous girlfriend <> Show: Hypnotized by pictures and ninja'd by zombie
Comic Shane: Shot by Carl while still alive <> Show: Killed by Rick, Zombied, Shot by Carl
Comic Herschel: Bitten then eaten by cannibals like Bob went on the show <> Katana'd by governor
I can't think of any examples that were identical, except minor ones, like Andrea's sister and Morgan's son (which wasn't even shown, just told)

When the girls were holding his hand and then it changed to Rick chopping off his arm the next second.... YAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH.I thought the sound of the walker snapping its teeth trying to bite Tyreese was very cool.I thought the vision of the Governor morphing into a walker was f'n creepy, more so than just about anything they've done yet.Is it messed up that I have nightmares about zombies the nights I watch this show?

I'm probably wrong considering the show's history.
See honestly this is what I was thinking of when I saw the cut in half bodies. I was envisioning some big car/truck with spinning blades on the sides that sliced the zombies/humans in half when they broke through the wall.Did I miss the Hyundai commercial with the zombie killing car? Where was that?
Katana'd? You sure? I don't remember that. Its been a while since I read the prison stuff though.Tyreese died in the comic the way Herschel did in the show.Just offhand about major deaths:

I don't read the comics so correct me if I'm wrong but there seems to be more of an interest in taking things that happened in the comics and applying them somewhere within the show rather than directly recreating them. I'm thinking along the lines of Bob's death matching up with Herschel's and assuming Tyreese was beheaded in the comics then Herschel's matching up with Tyreese's, that sort of thing.Add:
Comic Sofia: Still Alive, adopted by Maggie, Show Sofia: Barn Zombie
I think as the show has progressed, they actively try not to do exactly what the comic did. In terms of this particular comic spoiler, I don't doubt that the referenced antagonist will show up, and I wouldn't be surprised if he offed someone in a similar confrontation. However, I would be shocked if it was the person that he did it to in the comics. If that goes down, it will be someone else now.
I don't intentionally avoid spoilers, and I don't recall seeing anything about it, but I could have missed an article. For those who read spoilers did you know the Governor, Beth, Bob, the girls and Martin were coming back? Just wondering if the show was able to keep all of that under wraps.

It does seem like the antagonist mentioned will show up at some point given how often he gets talked about. If the remainder of this season is supposed to get even darker perhaps he shows up in the season finale.
Bob's death actually was a recreation of Dale's death in the comics.I don't read the comics so correct me if I'm wrong but there seems to be more of an interest in taking things that happened in the comics and applying them somewhere within the show rather than directly recreating them. It's raining Glenn.Walking Dead edition of @midnight. Maggie is on. That is all
shtickWhy didn't Tyreese turn? Did they put something through his brain? What did I miss?
I'm sure they did what they had to do between dragging him out of the car and burying him.Why didn't Tyreese turn? Did they put something through his brain? What did I miss?

Agreed. I am pretty sure they already took care of that, just didn't need to show it.I'm sure they did what they had to do between dragging him out of the car and burying him.Why didn't Tyreese turn? Did they put something through his brain? What did I miss?

WTMF are you talking about? Seriously.I thought Tyrese's death showed us what it was like to turn into a zombie. Hallucinations were apart of the zombie effect before turning the brain off. The mind goes through some crazy things before "death" but what about before turning? I thought it was a good depiction of an actual turning into a zombie.

It has to be prepared ahead of time. No way people could come up with that much stuff that quickly, especially since apparently they sometimes have non-comedians on.she was surprisingly funny- and yeah, that was a good one. It's raining Glenn.Walking Dead edition of @midnight. I always wonder how much, if any, of that is prepared ahead of time?
and is it bad if I prefer her grungy post-apocalyptic to made up?
They did with Shane in season 2, although it was a lot different. First, Shane was already dead and second, I believe the visions were more zombie like, i.e. frenzied and nasty to signify him turning. I agree with Shuke that this was not turning into a zombie, this was the whole life flashing before your eyes before you die visions.Season 1 they showed people bitten having these visions.WTMF are you talking about? Works for me!TenTimes said:Tyreeses' conscience weighed more than most.
I wonder what Bob envisioned while passing. Sasha naked handing him an adult drink?
One of the first things I mentioned to Mrs. They can't even drive 30 minutes without running into hordes of walkers that derail their plans, but they made a 500 mile drive lickety split like it was nothing.Wait, they were in Virginia? I didn't even hear that.I'm not saying they had to show every mile of the 500 mile trip to Richmond, but it would have been nice to see some of it. The whole group hadn't ventured too far from Atlanta from the start of this show. I'd imagine that they are all from GA. Seems like it would be a big deal for them to leave "home" and finally go on the road. Did they run into any trouble? Were the roads filled with cars and walkers like they had previously encountered? I don't need 3 episodes to the trip, but give us at lease more than a couple lines about it.You have a world in which it is a daily struggle and they casually blow off a trek to Virginia with a throw away " That was a hard trip" line. I was looking forward to an epic Journey and they skipped it.Sorry..last's night's episode was horrible.Who knows where we go from here. Good episode.
The show that makes going to a nearby town for supplies into a Homer epic ends up going to a new state for the first time with a throwaway line?![]()
I got the sense that Tyrese had seen all of this prior and was having some sort of "deja vu" moment that distracted him.Do soldiers clear houses by themselves or do they bring someone to watch their back?Only takes a second. Over the course of a few years you would never have a lapse for one second?I thought last night was a good episode, except for how Tyrese/Cutty got bit. This whole premise of a walker sneaking up and chomping a chunk out of someone? C'mon.
Think about it. There's no noise at all. No radio or TV playing. No neighbor mowing his lawn. No cars or street traffic or sounds of kids playing in the yard. It's dead silent. You're in an unknown house and you've already seen a walker behind a closed door. NO WAY anyone is sneaking up on you, no matter how mesmerized you are by a couple photographs. Lazy writing.
And if I had to clear a house by myself I wouldn't stop to look at pictures on the wall until I've secured the room and shut the door behind me.
It's highly valued, but I think it will be rare that people will be able to get to your particular island on a regular basis. You'd have plenty of prep time anytime you saw a boat making its way towards you.advantages:I would avoid an island because everyone would be trying to get to an island. Sounds like a terrible idea to me to go where everyone is trying to go.
clear lines of sight for 360 degrees, so you can see trouble coming, isolation, physical barrier to zombies walking up on you, should have access to water, shelter and other required natural resources needed to build, farm, defend. access to lots of pure protein (fish)
disadvantages: highly valued property you'll probably end up having to defend repeatedly, might not have fresh water or shelter or any naturally occurring food crop available, could be washed out in hurricane/storms, lack of protection from the wind/sea. Probably have to to leave island regularly to scrounge supplies.
