I agree with every word of this post. Was coming here to make the j law comparison.Just going from one episode, seems like maybe a pretty good crowd this time. Both in terms of cooking skills, and personalities. Most seasons have one or two people I'm relieved when they get eliminated so I don't have to watch them anymore. No one jumped out at me this time.
The nervous girl almost had a little bit of a Jennifer Lawrence thing going on, both looks and how she sounded.
I think she's my stealth pick to win it all.Definitely liking the personalities so far, the Pakistani girl seems pretty cool![]()

Good riddance. Don’t think I could have handeled another couple weeks of that whinefestAlaska’s all sorts of annoying. She can’t meet her demise fast enough
Agree. I thought that cake idea was idiotic- shows what I know!Really liked the challenge, amazing what they were able to produce in those conditions
Kinda glad Tanya left, because her attitude was crap. F her. Talking back to the judges then throwing out a "get woke" like there's some kind of racial oppression keeping her from winning the show is![]()
don't mind her leaving, but am wondering what the reality was surrounding cooperation for both her and claudette. i do not think claudette was completely innocent. production crew presented us with their resistance to help each other. not sure how selective they were with how other teams worked together, or moments if/when those two actually did work well together.Kinda glad Tanya left, because her attitude was crap. Jesus I hate her. So,glad she's gone. Hopefully for good this time.Claudette is the type that blames failure on everyone else around her. That's her ego makeup.
Carrie's to lose.I had no interest in Tanya's food, but I liked her as a person until the week she was gone so was willing to cut her a break given she was dealing with supreme ##### Claudette. Happy to see Claudette gone super gone the next week.
Is there a favorite right now? Seems like wins have been pretty evenly distributed. Other than the young girl with the great knife skills (who is terrific but just not there yet), everyone seems like they could take it.
Have a day, Chris.
I get the Claudette hate, but it's been a while since a contestant piqued my interest in their food as much as she did this season.I had no interest in Tanya's food, but I liked her as a person until the week she was gone so was willing to cut her a break given she was dealing with supreme ##### Claudette. I'm rooting for Chris, or Fatima if she gets back into it. But I don't really dislike any of the remaining contestants.Seemed like a good decision on this latest elimination. He was probably the one person left who hasn't seemed to grow as a chef at all. He was his best when he was making his same old thing in his safety zone, but the judges got tired of that.
Interesting path this season has taken. It seemed like the chefs started out so strong, then they had their rough stretch recently here where they weren't turning out as good of food. I'm still not quite sure who I want to win. I'd like Fatima to make it back from Last Chance Kitchen (haven't watched yet so I have no idea if she is still alive, don't tell me!), though I'd be happy with Carrie or Adrianne. The Moustache might be the most competent chef in technical skills, but I'm more impressed with the growth from the two women so would rather see one of them take it. I also like Chris, it would be a feel good story if he wins.
I didn't notice anything strangeThis was a really weird episode to watch because of the editing out of Johnny Iuzzini* from judging the quick fire.
Padma's voice over's, her green screens, the extreme closeups in the hotel room, the two plates being carried up, the contestant eyes going back and forth in the hotel room looking at two different people etc etc.
I was not effected when they edited out Besh from the Olympics episode but this one must have been much harder to pull off.
edit to add: *It was assumed to be Iuzzini, Bravo has not confirmed what happened.
The entire part with the quick fire challenge was a complete mess production wise. They did the best they could I guess considering.I didn't notice anything strange![]()
Who is this Johnny guy and what happened?
Think that was if his pork chop wasn't cooked enough he wouldn't be able to put it on the plate, Joe was great last night, cool dude.I forget the context, but I chuckled at non-mustache Joe's line about something that finished with "...and Wylie Dufresne looking at me like I'm some kind of ###hole...."

weird. he seemed very nice and complimentary of all the chefs to me.Actually got my pompous chefs mixed up. Wylie seems like he could possibly be ok. British altitude guy was who I was thinking of. Guy really came off like the biggest jag that show's ever seen and that's say a lot after 16 seasons.
She's Mormon, so maybe not.Carrie is a legit badass, her last dish notwithstanding (even though the only negative thing said about it was that it wasn't cohesive...they all said it was delicious).
She loses her protein and still wins the challenge? With a toast? AGAIN?! First with "fancy toast", and now this...this chick is money. Unflappable. Im rooting for her the rest of the way. Super down to earth and no ego (which may have hurt her a bit...I think had she went with the Wellington she would have nailed it and got another win).
Plus she had aspirations of being a competitive skier, so she's athletic...not exactly hot but attractive in a strange way...I bet she's fun to hang with. And 420 friendly no doubt.
