If the freezer worked properly, chances are Carla's frozen yogurt wouldn't have been yougurt soup and Stefan's first dessert would have not been eliminated. Same thing with Jamie's rotten snapper (was it a rotten RED snapper?) that caused her to switch to Chilean sea bass (is that sustainable fishery, btw?) In past challenges in this and other seasons, ovens haven't worked right or fridges have failed.
I wouldn't put it past TPTB to throw these curve balls at teh cheftestants, but it's becoming a little tiresome.
