Minnesota outplayed the Saints last time around but the end result was a Saints win.

I recall after Hurricane Katrina the first game for the Saints at home was wild with the crowd and they pummeled the Falcons unexpectedly. I'm feeling a similiar scenario tonight, just a hunch that the Saints win by at least 17 points.

I think the media has overblown the demise of the Vikings. It's just the popular thing to do. They return everyone from last year, minus Sidney Rice, who was a scrub until Favre came into town. He has a habit of making others around him elevate their game. With all the focus on Favre this off season it seems as though people have forgotten that they still have one of the best backs in the game in Adrian Peterson. The Saints D is still going to have to respect that which opens up opportunities for the passing game. Favre will exploit the weaknesses. Even without Rice, Favre still has weapons in Harvin, Berrian and Shiancoe. Camarillo is a solid possession receiver. The key is protection and getting rid of the ball quickly. The Saints D is also hurting.

The Saints are favored, and should be, but I don't think they will run away with it. I expect Peterson to go nuts tonight. The home crowd will be jacked, but the Vikes want revenge. I expect another great game.

;) and let's not start this again.

There are more facets to the game than just offense and total yards. Minn was miserably outplayed on both special teams (check out kick averages and kick returns for both teams) as well as defense (obviously turnovers and of course, points allowed). I'm not going to say that New Orleans outplayed Minnesota either as it was a close game and pretty evenly matched, but this nonsense that the Saints got "outplayed" is just that--nonsense.

Let's hope for a good game tonight :lmao:

Too many positives for the Saints; too many negatives for the Vikings this week.

Saints roll by 14+

 I just read on a Yahoo article someone wrote the Vikings' demise this year is as predictable as the sunrise. This team has kept improving the last few years and almost made it to the Superbowl this year. Harvin says they figured out the migraines, AP says he figured out the fumbling, and our starting center is supposed to be playing tonight.I think the Vikes are going to surprise people tonight the same way they did when everyone was predicting them to lose to the Cowboys in the playoffs last year.

:) A friend of mine is a diehard Vikings fan, and him and I were going back and forth about this game the other day. He thinks the Vikes are gonna roll in this one on the "revenge" angle, but I envision another "Katrina" game here. The fans will be pumped, Brees will have the team cranked up, Saints are the defending champs for the first time ever..this night belongs to New Orleans. Not a team out there that could walk in and take one from the Saints tonight. I can see the flustered look on Favre's face already..and it's only 6:08PM eastern time right now!

I take it you didn't look at the injury report.

Injury report....as in my Saints D is hurting comment? If so, not everything is on the injury report. Sharper is out for 6 games and 2nd year player Malcom Jenkins converted from corner and will replace him. Starting outside LB Johnathan Casillas is out after being injured in the preseason. Shanle is having to move to weak side and their bringing in a backup to the strong side. Vilma is listed as probable but groin injuries don't just "heal" right away. They suck when trying to run full speed. Porter hasn't been 100%. And yes I know the Vikes secondary is a question mark. I was just stating that the Saints have issues too and I expect it to be a good game.

:P Did you?

The only thing the Vikes have going is that ADP is going to blow through the debilitated Saints run D.

If they can control the clock and keep NO under 20 pts they got a shot. But GLWT

Vikings' inactives: J.Webb; C.Griffin; C.Cook; T.Gerhart; C.DeGeare; J.Kennedy; M.Schuler; & E.Griffen.

Saints inactives: C.Ivory; C.Reis; S.Arnoux; D.Clark; Z.Strief; J.Graham; A.Arrington; & J.Galette.

You said the Vikes have everyone back with exception of Rice. Their secondary his absolutely butchered right now though.

FailThe Saints could have lost but they were not outplayed by any means of the word. They certainly were not out coached were they?

I think the Saints run D is softer then a pillow. Discuss.
The time to discuss this is after the game I think. Is Vilma playing? Injury is the only reason they would be considered soft IMO. ADP is a talent but the Saints have managed him in the past. Besides its hard to keep up a run game unless you get out to a big lead on the Saints. I don't see it happening tonight.

Love how most (media/fans) have already given the Saints a W.

Me, I'm for wasting sportswriters' time. So I figured we ought to hang around for a while and see if we can give 'em all a nice big ####burger to eat! -Lou Brown

how about all this whippin around to different reporters/announcers everywhere and all the cluster f'n with the producer coming over the audio feed, this pregame show is on crack. personally, i feel the pace of the pregame show greatly favors the saints and they should have little trouble dropping 30.

Taylor Swift is pretty much smoking hot.
She needs to be. Man that chicks voice is going off I swear! She was off on Sat night live, and she is off pitch tonight. Either she has had a long tour or auto tune is really her friend in the studio. But yeah she is hot.

I walked past her in Vegas 2 years ago when I went to the CMA and I concur with this statement.Though she nowhere near as hot as Carrie Underwood. She was amazing in person.

I think the Saints roll tonight, but Minny whipped them up and down the field in the NFC Championship game. They could have won the game with a 55 yarder after turning it over 5 TIMES.In an evenly matched game, 5 turnovers = blowout. The Vikings beat themselves on that day.

Tonight:

Saints 34

Vikes 20

I've got the over/under on the number of :bs: roughing the passer penalties against the saints tonight at 1.5.

Saints run the Vikes out of the building. Post game talk is whether Brett made the right decision to return and whether the Vikings are anywhere close to the team they were last year.

Do the Saints actually have Champions patches on their jersey? Act like you've been there bef....oh.
