What would it take for Cousins to get the same trade value as RGIII? 2 more solid games? 3?

And what is that value? A 2nd rounder or two?
Why would you guys want to trade Cousins? He is going to only get better and I think RG3 only falls more off the cliff. What do the Skin fans think?

South Park was terrific last night. Must watch if you are a Skins fan.

Going to the game tonight!
I'll be there as well!
Me too! (Thanks dgreen)

First time going to a Skins game!
Me too!
Have a great time, guys. I'm about as negative about the Skins gameday experience as any Skins fan, but it sure can be special when things come together. Especially a night game against a division rival with some decent stakes like tonight (2-2 looks a lot better than 1-3 for both teams in a wide open division).

My last game at FedEx was the season opener vs Dallas in 2010. I'll never forget the crowd erupting when Hall took a fumble back for a TD to end the first half or the panic during the last drive, and the mass exhale when we saw the flag for holding on the TD that would have given the Cowboys the game. Hope you guys get something special tonight.

There is certainly nothing special about Fed Ex and the typical experience probably isn't worth the $ for many people. But, like you say, sometimes it can be totally awesome. Really, the experience, to me, isn't about the stadium itself or the location or anything people complain about. It's about meaningful games and actually thinking you have a good team. I tend to dread the idea of going to a game, but then am always glad that I'm actually there.

The week 17 division clincher against Dallas was a GREAT atmosphere. Even better than the following week against Seattle which was an actual playoff game. Night games tend to be more fun. I'm just getting too old for them when I have to go to work the next day.

On the flip side, that debacle against the Chiefs last year in the cold snow/sleet/rain was totally miserable. The crowd was kind of fun at the beginning since it was snowing some, but the game got ugly quick and the place was more than dead. I had to convince my 10 year old daughter to leave early. She was much more of a diehard that day.

At least the special teams hasn't made a killer play...yet.
"The day's not over yet."

Gotta come out after the half and score a TD. I believe we can move the ball, but we have to finish the drive. Also, Cousins needs to handle the pressure he's going to face from the Giant front line. Don't think he was harried as much vs. Jax or Philly...this is more of a challenge for him.

Not having D Hall is showing.

Not having Paul is going to hurt too.

Rough game, but we still have a half to play, so we have to take it one drive at a time.

Opportune moment, I know, but ask any Saints fan, when HC & DC Haslett's teams always had trouble covering opposing TEs. Not sure if this has been going on for a while with the Redskins but in any event I was surprised that Haz kept his job last year to this.

And the whole world turns on Cousins. Until he looks good again, of course.
If he gets good again it'll be progress. His history is to start off good, and get steadily worse.
What I am noticing is that when he feels the pressure, he rushes and is often off on his throws. He definitely has skills, but he needs to stand in there and deliver it while under pressure.

It is as you say a process. After this, we got Seattle then Arizona defense...oof. We will see soon if he has the stuff to be a starter.

Yep. His history is to perform like Mark Sanchez. Cousins has been and is a turnover machine. I didn't expect him to fall off this quickly, especially at home though. Let's see some fight in the 4th!

While everyone else in DC is mourning, Superbob is eating about 2 or 3 foot long Subway subs with the biggest grin.

We have seen the future of Kirk Cousins and it is Rex Grossman

Win, lose or draw -- starter or backup -- you are right...he and the team need to show some fight here and not give up!

Right now I'd be happy if he had the stuff to be a competent backup. He's been pretty terrible passing tonight --- behind a lot of receivers when not pressured, and throwing all over the place when pressured. He's not good. He was not good last year.

He's a nice guy, I root for him to get better, the team sorely needs it. But let's not kid ourselves. He's not good. He may or may not be good someday.

The only slight upside to all of this is that I have Larry Donnell on my fantasy team.

Of course now I cannot enjoy it. :topcat:

Is it bad that I cheered when Eli ran that TD in because he's my FanDuel QB? I had conceded the TD anyway ya know?

OK, I'm a KC fan...I want him to do well.

But at this point it's just epically bad. I mean, Rex Grossman-esque in nature.

It's difficult to watch. He's coming apart a little bit.

Eli interview postgame. He said that the defensive packages they saw were "basic" and they knew what to expect. No surprises. smh

If this disaster speeds up Hasletts departure it won,t have been totally worthless.
I was thinking during the game "this is the time to fire Haslett". He had already had 4 years of bad defensive coaching here, and last night they looked totally, completely confused --- especially in pass coverage. The LB's, CB's, and safeties were running around like they had blindfolds on. Just poorly prepared, not ready to face an NFL offense. He needs to go.

We've heard that numerous times during Haslett's tenure.

Said it before and say it again, Kirk Cousins is better when he doesn't know he is going to start. When he relies more on his natural ability than his prep work. Here is what is KILLING Kirk, he stares down a receiver...easy pickings for NFL defenders and it shows pick after pick after pick after...

At least we are not talking about Special Teams, right? Offense looked horrible and out of synch, the Haslett "No holds barred" Defense that Shanny would not let him run looked horrible! The team looked so out of it that one does have to wonder if they had not recovered from the Eagles/Sunday game. Not making an excuse for them, but too many things (blocking, passing, drops, tacklings, coverage, etc) were way off.

GREAT NEWS guys...we have a 1st round pick and by the looks of it, it should be goooooood one!

I didn't see him down on the sidelines. Was he up with Snyder in the box?

(Over)Reading into Gruden's remarks, 9/26 Edition

“Sometimes you need to play through some of these ruts,” coach Jay Gruden told reporters after the game. “As a quarterback, he’s the guy that is going to have to lead us in these next few weeks. We need him to pull himself out of it, and keep his head up and move forward to the Seattle Seahawks when we get back.”
