***OFFICIAL WIS XIV DRAFT THREAD*** (1 Viewer)

Yea. Great finish. :lmao:

I stalled for a good 5-10 minutes probably before I continued on, FYI.
Koya may remember a Sim-Live playoff game between us in WIS II. It was during business hours, and I got called into a no-warning IRL meeting during the game. I think it was a hour-and-a-half "rain delay" Koya stayed on, though, and we finished the game.

... I think so.EDIT: Stop and think -- that league was over FIVE YEARS AGO. And we're still doing these WIS things -- :lmao: + :X + :X

... someone's got to bust Harrier out of the joint one day and get him back into one of these things. I may be in the minority, but I think he was a deeper comedy mine than even LB.

It'd be real nice if my team would stop conking their head on the .500 glass ceiling and break through for once.

After a 3 game set with belljr, I'm back to .500 for the time being. My 2nd round pick (25th overall) batting .145 for the year isn't helping much.

The sim has a way of exposing a player's real life weakness. In Gordon's case, it's his sub .250 AVG# and strikeout rate.

It may be time to pull the cord on Bill Delancy C (315 or so PAs).

If anyone is interested in Delancy, I'd need the following back:

A Good hitting Catcher, preferably lefty, with 300+ PAs OR

A good hitting OF with 200+ PAs (would need to be significantly better offensively than a good hitting catcher mind you) and a catcher who can replace the 300 PAs for Delancy. I could include any number of options in return from a very good defensive outfielder (McBride), possible A Kearns if I get enough back, or even one of my infielders though I might then need some IF innings back.

I might be drunk, but I'm pretty sure this is all gibberish.

What does AVG# mean?
"#" in WIS represents normalization.

If it makes you feel better koya, I'm 99.99% sure my road pitching can't stay this good all season (team road ERA is something ridiculous like 2.2). Gary also has a .720 OPS.

One strange thing is that it keeps trying to put this one guy as closer, but yet he's set as a Setup A and never gets in the game over other guys.

now 3-14 in one-run games, but 23-7 otherwise. i'm sure i'm doing something wrong, but just don't know what. either that, or i'm about to go on a monster run.

REACH ALERT REACH ALERT!!!The only man to claim to hit a ball over the great wall of China1950 - Walt "Moose" Dropo - 1BCitizens Bank Park
Walt Dropo, who played 13 seasons in the majors and won the 1950 American League Rookie of the Year award with the Boston Red Sox, has died. He was 87. Dropo died Friday of natural causes, the University of Connecticut said Saturday in a statement. Dropo, who lived in Peabody, Mass., was a three-sport star at UConn in the 1940s and one of the greatest athletes in school history. In 1950, Dropo beat out New York Yankees pitcher Whitey Ford to win AL Rookie of the Year honors after batting .322 with 34 home runs and a league-best 144 RBIs in 136 games. He also made his only All-Star team that year."Walt Dropo was one of the greatest players the Red Sox had in the post-World War II era," said **** Bresciani, the team's vice president of publications and archives. "He was an outstanding gentleman and did a lot of good things for our organization in the community when his playing days were over. The Red Sox send their condolences to his family."
