Maicon would be my first guess. I know everybody that will be going in the first few rounds but it will be hit and miss after that. The best listing of players online is in the ESPN fantasy game which has dollar values for each player and their site is what we are using for positions so it is an easy translation.

Clock will be slowed a bit on the weekend. I will make a judgment based on how far we get during the week.Again, texting is an option. I know that Derek, Boub, and I were all in the extremely long college football draft last year, and it went off without a hitch with texting.

How long will the clock be? Tuesday and Wednesday is my weekend this week and I plan on spending it at the beach with some out of town friends. I can draft from my fancy cell phone if it feels like working or my GF's fancier cell phone if mine is being the pain in the ### it keeps being lately. I'd be willing to team with Z if need be as well. We seem to like the same players/styles.

I liked Maicon. Brazil should go far in the tourney. They get clean sheets. And Maicon will probably add in the odd goal or assist.
 
On reflection, I shouldn't have called it a huge reach. I still think it was a reach, but I can't really say a lot about it without spotlighting.

And of course, it's easy to spout opinions when I'm not picking.

As for my pick, Villa just seems to be the goal scorer for Spain with Torres playing the set up man. I can easily see many of the picks behind me scoring more but if I had to choose one player who I think has the "most likely" chance to lead this league in points, it is Villa. Rooney was almost my choice but I don't trust England. Messi still doesn't seem to get it with Argentina to shine like he should. I hope for all our sakes that isn't the case this summer. There was a group of 4 or 5 including Kaka that was in my second grouping.

 
Its gonna be a LONG wait after my first two picks. I hate picking last. :yucky:

BTW still text me when I come up. Wife is lurking and I dont feel like hearing her complain, lol.

Villa has to be an early favorite for the Golden Boot. He made a ton of sense at 1.1.

Villa has to be an early favorite for the Golden Boot. He made a ton of sense at 1.1.

My online book has Villa even with Messi at +800 for the golden boot. I hate to spotlight, but just note that Jozy Altidore is at +12500, same as Theo Walcott.

Just let him pick when he gets here; no need to wait until the end of the round. If he doesn't show by then, maybe we can suspend until he makes his first pick. :yucky:
 
yea, no problem with Tasker moving it back to 4:10, but fire when ready now IMO.

Detroit is in the thread, but if he doesn't pick soon I'll post what he sent me.

 
Sebowski signing on within a few minutes. I texted the (617) area code instead of (619) - my fault, guys.

If he wants Ronaldo, I think we should let him have Ronaldo. He texted me asking about Messi, who is obviously gone.
