Orlando Brown found dead (1 Viewer)

"After his football career ended in 2005, Brown became the first Fatburger franchisee in Maryland"...

I guess weighing North of 300 lbs is bad for your health. You guys can all makes jokes or justify why these players have ballooned to near capacity in the NFL but sooner or later its going to catch up. Too many of these guys are falling down dead in the middle of their life. If Goodell and the NFL really care then put in weight limits and outlaw the NCAA turning 190 lb HS kids into 290 lb DTs in less than 2 years, it's unnatural.

Another sad story for an ex-NFL player.

Sad. I remember the flag incident - very bizaare. He was a very big dude.
I was at that game and while I didn't actually see the flag hit him , I remember parts of the crowd booing loudly and I'm sitting there wondering what just happened because it was something that happened after the play. Half the people in the stands didn't know what was going on either until the replay was shown on the big screen, definitely a bizaare incident.

I don't want to hijack this thread but i think there is some merit to this idea. A couple buddies and I were debating "what if" there was a weight limit on NFL lineman. Would it affect the game negatively? I don't think so. But I do think it would affect linemen life expectancy in a positive way.

Triplette should volunteer to be a pallbearer. Least he could do for forcing the guy out of the league for a few years.

R.I.P. Orlando Brown. All jokes aside, I am an east coast guy who loves Fatburger. I was hoping Brown, or someone else, was going to open more here in the DC area.

There is definitely something to the size of NFL lineman these days. Not sure if weight limits is the answer but it cannot be healthy to walk around carrying so much weight, regardless of how "in shape" you are.
