Packer/Bear week used to be fun around here (1 Viewer)

So many question marks with both teams it seems.

Im hoping McCarthy doesn't just look at the secondary and think Rodgers should throw the ball 50 times Sunday.

I also wouldn't have my feelings hurt if Marshall and Jeffrey were still a bit slowed by injuries.

Need to force Cutler into mistakes and capitalize on them...but the offense just doesn't seem in sync right now.

Would be a mistake if he thought he could drop back and pass all day. The pass rush isn't great but it's much better than last year. And there's this Fuller kid.

I don't think that they will just drop back.

But I would expect quick short pass looks...get the ball out quick and hope to break tackles.

Fuller looks good...no doubt about that.

Waiting for Friday's practice reports before any predictions. I do think that Chicago's D-line will get consistent pressure on Rodgers though.

Bears will be wearing their 1940's throwback uni's Sunday! I hope Marshall is good to go, he always seems to play well wearing that uniform.

Must be correlated.

I miss the old days of Packer-Bear games. Back in the 80s, when I was a kid, my dad & I went to the game each year. I begged him to take me along for that game, partly for the spectacle in the parking lot. Seeing a Mike Ditka doll hanging in the lot, noose around its neck, lit on fire.....was awesome. Hated the Bears, was devastated each game when (inevitably, back then) we would lose to Ditka/McMahon/Payton.

Fast forward, this is my favorite game each year still. Especially living in suburban Chicago, surrounded by hoards of FIBs.

It will be a brutally ugly game; whether due to bad offense, defense or special teams....none of us know yet. But a Packer-Bear game is rarely pretty football. My guess is the Bears win; our team just sucks ### this year. We'll see.

Sorry to hear you live in Chicago. Maybe your wife will let you move.

I still have alot of Bear friends and there's always banter emails between us all.

But yeah, the Packers are sooo out of sync that my side of the banter this year hasn't been too great. Not a whole lot to say. I'm in Nashville and a Vandy season ticket holder. Saw Cutler play all of his games here and have a couple of bobbles to show for it. It's the only bobble that Vandy made since I've been here. I bet 1 of the bobbles on the game, but not feeling good about keeping it. If the pack has some good practices, maybe they can put it together.

I keep seeing the #44 in my dreams.

I think the Pack hangs 44 on duh Berssssss this week.

Or Starks gets a chance and runs wild

This is about as close to a must-win scenario as we are going to see today. Green Bay just absolutely needs to win this game.

Marshall appears to be active, hopefully he can be effective. Still haven't heard anything on Allen. Rookies continue to play well and Bears win at home 27 - 24.

Should be an easy win for the bears. Packers are not as good as they've been in recent years. They're on the downslide. The bears are on their way to the Super Bowl. They should win by at least four touchdowns.

Not fun anymore because the Bears have only won twice in tge last 12 meetings. Nothing really to discuss.
But hey...you can't talk like this because someone brought up the all time record. Your little shadow I think it was.

Don't really give the Bears much of a shot here but then again this is the NFL where anything can happen. Since the Jay Boy era most games have been close which may be the case this week but the bumbling Bears will somehow find a way to screw it up. Wondering if the Bear D has any pride left in the tank because this is the only way to avoid defeat...

I don't expect this to turn out well for the Bears. Even if McClellin knocks Rodgers out of the game again the Bears won't have the luxury of playing against Wallace and will probably still lose.

I'm thinking/hoping this turns out to be a high scoring game. Unfortunately, in the end, I don't think the Bears D will be able to keep with the Cheddarheads' offense in this one. 35-31 GB. Hope I'm wrong in who gets the 'W'.

Quarterback Brett Farve, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God started showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Packers flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity, Brett," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." Brett felt special indeed and walked up to his house. On his way up to the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a three-story mansion with a blue and orange sidewalk, 50-foot tall flagpole with an enormous Bears logo flag, and in every window, a blue helmet with a "C" on it. Brett looked at God and said, "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an All-Pro Quarterback, I won a Super Bowl, and I even went to the Hall of Fame." God said, "So what do you want to know, Brett?" "Well, why does Walter Payton get a better house than me?" > > > God chuckled and said, "Brett, that's not Walter Payton's house, it's Mine.
