Paging Thomas Jones (1 Viewer)

TJ playing the Bengals.....either Favre throws another 6 TDS or Jones lights it up...if he craps the bed this week....I completely throw in the towel.

Feel the same here...playing TJ over Slaton and Edge as my #2 RB this week. I think its the right call.

News flash from 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, TJ isn't very good. He's an awful RB2. Average RB3. If you're starting him at RB2, your draft went horribly wrong.

Contemplating Thomas or McClain. Both vs awful run defenses.

I think I have to go with TJ but if he chokes and McClain lights it up I'll be kicking myself

Cincy's defense isnt as bad as people think they are. Theyre still below average but theyve held down some top RBs like Jacobs, Jamal, & Barber

Meh.... I'm beginning to think I should start McClain vs Indy over TJ.

My options are 20+ carries from a crappy rb

or around 10-15 from someone who looks to be starting their breakout year

I have Portis, Bush and TJ and originally put in Portis and Jones but after thinking about it I just can't keep Bush on the bench.

As much as I hate to admit it, but I have to agree with the general concensus here.

I'm sick of making excuses for Jones so far, he's basically an RB3 right now.

It doesn't sound like it's getting any better either. Rumors of Washington getting an increased role, Chatman getting GL carries.

I just might start both McGahee and McClain over Jones this week, but if he's going to score any points it'll start this week.

Someone in my league sent me this said he got it from some NY paper.

Leon Washington [RB, Jets] - Latest out of the Jets camp is that Washington has passed up Thomas Jones as the No. 1 runningback. This could be a changing of the guard as the Jets look to a younger back to take over the load. Jones has looked less than stellar this season, so Leon should continue to increase his workload.

guess it depends on the paper.I'd be surprised if this is true, Washington the starter that is. He just isn't the type back that Mangini want to grind out the tough yards on a week-to-week basis.

I have yet to hear that, actually. Is there a link from Mangini? I thought it was very telling that Jones received every single carry in the 4th Q against AZ two weeks ago. Just don't see Leon as anything bbut a great special teamer and COP back this year - barring injury or absolutely dreadful play from TJ (which I think is unlikely).

If you have not been watching the Bengals this year, they took the Giants into overtime in a game they shoulda/coulda won and came back and made a game out of it in Dallas this past week. They are playing hard. I doubt the Jets roll in this game and they could easily beat the Jets.

just rumors at this point. no link. I have seen the other thread speculating Washington as the #1 back. I haven´t seen any credible news source supporting that at all.

More discussion of this over here...http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=430413

Well, he did it this week. Would have been a good week to start him. The Jets were pretty balanced all day with the run.

I love it when I'm wrong...

Thomas Jones is a fantasy nightmare... he pulls this when you finally bench him over the last couple weeks. He's having a Chad Johnson year... and all the TJ pundits,... will pull out his final stats... his std dev is now off the chart.

He's matched 1/3 his total yards, and tripled hit TD output in this game alone.

TJ owners will go back to starting him again, and they'll get burned by Lil Leon and TJ's pedestrain output (and/or Favre's odd blowup games).
