Pats/Bucs in game thread (2 Viewers)

I might be a huge Pats fan....but I can't see how anyone would take a QB over Brady (except for Rodgers/Vick).
Said that in the top 10 QB thread, I realize fantasy isnt NFL, but Brady has been the best QB in the NFL 2 of the last 4 years, and one of those years he didnt play (ACL tear).
I had him last year and once he got going in week 4 or 5, he didn't stop. This year, they are good to go from the very start.

I'm a huge Cowboy and Lions fan and I can't see how anyone would take ANYONE including Rodgers/Vick in real life football for this year only.If I were starting a team for this year only, my No.1 QB would be Tom Brady. I have always thought of Manning and Brady as 1a and 1b but with Manning dinged a little, I would take Brady, I'd have to. Rodgers is close, real close but I still think he can make some bonehead decisions, seems to be a little more of an injury risk with his head injuries but you obviously couldn't go wrong with Rodgers right now either. I think Vick has a lot to prove before I'd take him anywhere close to those guys, starting with playing an entire year healthy.

Oh, if we're talking REAL life football, it is Brady hands down for me. I was talking fantasy wise. But nice to finally see a Cowboys fan with some sense :D

Welker robbed of a TD (called him out at the 1) followed by BJGE 1-yd TD run.
Every possible TD play is reviewed right ? Did they review this ?
They did not, it wasnt called a TD so it wasnt reviewed, they ruled it out of bounds, after watching the replay, he actually was out on the 1 yard line.
I wonder if the refs will err on the side of calling things TDs to get them reviewed....

and yet brady is still playing?
Brady seemed to be at the beginning of the 2nd QTR just handing the ball off. After that he focused on feed the ball to Welker.Pats are gonna run it up everytime. Everyone else is always gonna ask why. Because they can.

DE Andre Carter looks unblockable pair him with Haynesworth and The Fork and it's a great D-line with some good young reserves.

i'm not whining about running it up. just seems silly to expose brady to more risk than necessary in a meaningless game.
Wasnt implying you were. Was preemptive, thats typically the first response from asking that question.

The Mallett pick wasnt as bad as it looked. Will Yeatman (who I actually like a lot) completely stopped running when Mallett threw the ball. He probably would have been there if he had continued runnig.

Bucs rookie back Allan Bradford has looked good with his first couple of carries, we'll see if he keeps it up.

5th round pick TE Lee Smith is a perfect fit with the pats. They needed a young blocking TE behind the 2nd year guys, and he can block and get nasty, but also come out and make some catches.

Two weeks in a row and Blount has looked like he is running hip-deep in a pool of cold molasses. I had him pegged as a guy who would likely outplay his ADP, but man, he looks awful. And it's not just the TB line. He just looks S L O W.

I bet a drafted ppr team of

1 stud Rb

2 Brady

3 welker

4 #85

5 branch

6 woodhead

7 Hernandez

Would be a playoff team.

After seeing that replay a couple of times, how could they not through a flag????

I'd imagine whoever killed him will have his wallet lightened next week,

Brady is going to dismantle the league this year. That offense looks so fluid when he is running the show. It's Montana like, needs to be said again.

Besides the fumble, Ridley looked good again.....with Vereen's injury, this is starting to look like the Law Firm/Ridley back field...until Ridley takes over the whole thing...

That hit ticks me off, no need for it and I agree, Woodhead should not be there. Not only was he "defenseless" but total head hunting. He should have been expelled on the spot.
