So where does Boston Cream Pie fall under?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_cream_pie

A Boston cream pie is a cake that is filled with a custard or cream filling and frosted with chocolate. Although it is called a Boston cream pie, it is in fact a cake, and not a pie.
Was being facetious as I know it is cake but I like the pictures so thanks for those
If cakes get Boston Cream Pie, then pies get Cheesecake. It has a crust, it's a pie.

I voted Pie...In general I'll argue that

-A superb pie > A superb cake

-An average pie < an average cake

Pies are difficult to master. Cakes have a higher margin for error...To put it in football terms, Pies are that raw prospect with freakish potential that might be an HOF'er, or might beat his baby momma and end up in jail, and Cakes are like that guaranteed role player.

Based on the year written would that make cake = Laken Tomlinson and pie Jamis Winston?

Man. 9 years later. I'm aligned with the pie comparison to Winston, and I think we all can agree that he was a disappointing pie. While I have no issues with the Laken Tomlinson reference either, I am very curious why you chose him out of all the 2015 draftees...

🦁 and seemed safe, solid career.

I do like some pies (chocolate cream, yum... and pumpkin at Thanksgiving only), but cake is far more preferable. So many good types of cake.

to the 82 of you that agree with me that pie is so much better than cake I applaud you.

to the 32 that like cake better than I'm sorry that you have defective taste buds.

Voted pie as others have said the ceiling on pie is much higher than cake but it does have a lower floor.

Cake. I love frosting. Also I think some people associate cake with mediocre boxed cake mix. But if you get a good quality cake from a local bakery, for example, beats a pie every time.
