If we do draft a QB (I wouldn't) - I kind of hope it's Peterman. Anyone they can get here is terribly flawed but at least Peterman has a good mind for a QB and great accuracy on his passes. I don't know that he's ever a quality starter in the NFL but he's also less likely to kill you if he's in the game than the other QBs still on the board. The QBs in this draft.
*back pat*Cam Sutton probably in play as a 3 too. 4 year starter in the SEC with the man skills that Tomlin claims that they need to start looking at more. Also a pretty good returner.
Good call. Definitely a man corner and a high character guy but boy, he's going to piss some people off with his tackling.*back pat*
Certainly needs work, but I'm sure they'd rather have him getting picks and shutting down guys in the slot.he's going to piss some people off with his tackling.
If people haven't seen it Bryant and Coates are trading shots on Twitter right now.Well that escalated quickly between Coates and Bryant. Hey knuckleheads, it's because both of you are unreliable and stupid.
More?If people haven't seen it Bryant and Coates are trading shots on Twitter right now.
Ya just saying JuJu was the replacement for the other.Nope. Just a tiny back and forth.
Only QB worth taking in three that's left is Peterman to me. Dobbs' accuracy on anything but deep stuff is beyond rough.I'd bet Butt or Dobbs.
OK. Saw all that a while ago. Tomlin had to come in and "dad."Ya just saying JuJu was the replacement for the other.
Idk, saw him all over the place in rankings. Early 3rd to mid 5th. If they like him enough, I'm ok with it. We need another RB and if he can be the Bruiser to team with Bell, I'm cool with it.Wow, really early to take Conner IMO
Sure feels that way. Maybe the Bryant/Bell shenanigans have colored judgements?Sutton can play the slot, dime safety (CF) and return punts. Yeah, he needs work on his tackling and needs to stop biting and getting toasted on double moves, but he has ball skills and can cover. I like Lewis a lot better but Lewis might be in jail come week 1. Sutton won't be.
I think this is too early for Conner but I was hoping they'd draft him in the 4th or 5th so I'm not crying. Feels like they're drafting people rather than players, even more so than usual.
What if we get Lawson in the 4th? hahaSutton can play the slot, dime safety (CF) and return punts. Between that and the AB Snapchat bulls##t, it seems like they're going out of their way to draft "lunch pail" guys.Sure feels that way. Maybe the Bryant/Bell shenanigans have colored judgements?
True, but they all fit needs too.Between that and the AB Snapchat bulls##t, it seems like they're going out of their way to draft "lunch pail" guys.
I think it's part that, and part copycatting the Patriots, trying to get more intelligent/team players too.Sure feels that way. Maybe the Bryant/Bell shenanigans have colored judgements?
I don't have a huge problem with that mindset, I'd just hope it was only being used as a tie-breaker on equally talented players. Still need guys to make plays first and foremost.I think it's part that, and part copycatting the Patriots, trying to get more intelligent/team players too.
I'll add that Watt, Schuster and Connor are all 3 "country strong" and have jolting punches. I already said that Watt would make a good fighter, and if you have seen the other two, they both have some pretty dominant stiff-arms and aren't afraid of contact. Perhaps they just want guys who can really brawl for the games vs the criminals ... I mean Bengals. Like my dad used to say, "Don't you start a fight, and don't you lose a fight."They don't move around a lot. I'm happy with this draft. I don't think JuJu is a bad pick just a curious fit. Honestly they may be saying they've had enough of both Coates and Bryants BS. Also may be clear that they are worried about the culture. No better way to change that then to outnumber the dbags with a bunch of high character leaders that wade through BS and get everyone else to fall in line.
